Mission Summary

After successfully quelling a rampant ship-wide tribble infestation while simultaneously discovering an entire race of non-corporeal entities inhabiting the Lyshan III mining colony, the crew of Galileo is ordered to return to space dock for resupply and tribble decontamination. The crew is fatigued and the journey to port is long and arduous, but after a month-long journey to the far side of Federation space, Galileo finally reaches its destination at Starbase 84.

A massive Stardock-class facility in orbit of an uninhabited world, Starbase 84 is the Federation's primary Beta Quadrant operational hub and has been in service for almost a century. It is strategically situated along both the Romulan and Klingon Neutral Zones, and is home to both Task Force 90 and several scientific research divisions. As Galileo's crew arrives at SB-84 and is granted an extended shore leave following decontamination procedures, Starfleet's Science Corps takes the opportunity to install a new prototype secondary deflector array on to the vessel for an upcoming classified mission.
