Antagonist Award

This award denotes a player's exceptionally well crafted villain who has contributed to a simm's plot line convincingly over a series of posts.

We love to hate the bad guy or the sinister mind plotting against our heroes. Without these dedicated evil, twisted, or simply misguided souls setting out against our protagonists, there might not be much story to tell! (Level 2 submission - sample post is required)

For her excellent writing as a big bad evil Orion on the post "retribution". Even without going into too gory detail she still had gotten my npc's condition pegged down, after what her Orion npc did to him.

(she wrote Palu on this particular post)
Captain Jonathan Holliday
05 Jan 2014 @ 4:58pm
Awarded for playing the most chilling villain to date, Legatus of Borg, and making him a truly formidable and scary opponent who oversaw the assimilation of several of Galileo's crew.
Lieutenant Commander Amynta Markos
10 Aug 2013 @ 7:27pm
Okay, so Markos isn't an actual villain. However, I felt it important to recognise the unique colour and texture she brings to posts with her one off barbs, sharp tongue, sarcastic comments, spikey interactions, her lack of caring what others think of her for it and her outright flouting of usual niceties. While this doesn't make her a villain, it does, however, make her an antagonist at times, and this award seemed the most apt to recognise this unique aspect that has been brought onto the ship. Smiles and happy crew are nice of course, however depth and character and colour is brought when a character like Markos comes in and ruffles feathers, causes ripples and sets some sparks flying....and it's not as easy to do well and achieve the right balance as it may seem!

Examples: Nearly all of her posts have a unique Amynta sharp tongue moment in there somewhere....
Lieutenant Kiri Cho
19 Nov 2012 @ 4:56pm
This player played an instrumental role by NPCing our most important villain, Captain K'Nara (Klingon flagship captain). K'Nara ended up as a very intriguing and complex antagonist with ghostly motivations and a cutthroat attitude. Because the character was a Klingon female, the personality seemed to naturally fit and ended up being an incredible joy to work with. Over a series of 15+ mission posts including battles and torture, this player convincingly player his character to the hilt and I'm very proud of him.
Captain Jonathan Holliday

This player has shown exemplary skill in portraying one of our two mission antagonists, General D'Grath (Klingon Intel Chief). Throughout the course of 10+ mission posts, the general was a well-crafted and to-the-hilt character. His one-liners written in perfect Klingon were excellent and campy, and the character turned into the most fun antagonist to read. Through a series of battle and torture scenes, the general slowly revealed his main plot and motivations. It was a pleasure to have such a gifted writer for this role, and I think Commander Holliday is much deserving of this award.
