He smiled. "I would like that. It has been a while since I was able to devote to meditation and emotional control and trust me...I need it. So I would very much appreciate it. And call me Braxton or Brax or Mac. I'm not much for formality and am always up for making friends."

"Very good, Braxton. When you and I can coordinate schedules we can work together." T'Lin made a small nod of the head..

He smiled. "Count on it." She might think that she was all Vulcan and not emotional but he sensed something from her. Knowing Vulcans didn't like to be called on emotions he simply let it go. "So have you made any other friends since you came onboard?"

"I have not had sufficient time," T'Lin responded though it was close to the same question that the Counselor had asked her. She did not think it worth the time to explain that friend meant something deeper then just knowing someone.

Braxton smiled. "Go ahead and mingle, enjoy the party T'Lin, let your hair down a bit."

And Now, the Continuation...

[ON]

It had almost been short notice he had received about the party. Luckily enough he came prepared for all occasions. He took a shower and shaved.

He considered his apparel for the party. Snapping his fingers he opened his closet and took out his suit. Back in the old days of earth, something like this would have been called a tuxedo. A white silk shirt with black onyx button and epaulets. A bolo instead of a tie the design on the bolo being a diamond made up of four other diamonds. The right and left diamond being of black onyx and the top and bottom being mother of pearl. Black slacks went on next followed by a dark burgundy full vest. Buttoning up the vest he nodded to himself. Grabbing the jacket he slipped it on and left it unbuttoned. The outfit, however, was not yet complete. Reaching back into the top of the closet he pulled down a box and set it on the table. Opening it he pulled out a stetson hat. He took it out of the box and put it on. He angled it slightly down to where the brim was just covering his brow.

Looking in the mirror he nodded to himself. He left his quarters and headed on his way to the party. Entering the lounge he looked around. Seeing that a few were already there he nodded to them touching the brim of his hat in greeting. Walking over to the bar he leaned against it slightly and looked to the bartender. "One Aldebaran whiskey if you would barkeep make it a double." Taking the drink he remained leaning against the bar and sipped at the whiskey.

Mimi had not 10 minutes ago came off duty and after quickly getting changed into her favourite dress. A jade green knee length dress that hugged what curves she had and it had a discreet hole modified into it for her tail to pop through; she stepped into the lounge. The place looked amazing and she saw several of the crew she knew well, even the Admiral was there letting her hair down. Wokring her way up to the bar she slipped into one of the chairs careful not to accidentally sit on her tail.

"Mimi!" Caught up in the routine of mixing drinks, Ethan lit up as the cat-like Ensign who roomed with his boss came in. She was different - in a really good way - and he always found himself wishing he could find more time to just talk with her. Tonight ... definitely not happening; at least, not yet. "What can I do for you?"

"Can I have some tea and a chicken salad sandwich?" Mimi asked.

"Definitely - sweet, not, flavored? Hold that thought. Wales," he called to the other tender. "Going back for a sec." Ethan dodged into the kitchen area to pull up the requisite sandwich before heading back out.

"Just some normal english tea." She answered smiling back at Ethan.

"Coming right up," he assured her as he set the plate with the sandwich down before getting the tea. "I think we have creme here somewhere, but there's some sugar right there if you want it."

"This will be fine, thank you Ethan." Drink in hand Mimi turned and watched people slowly filtering in and enjoying themselves.

Allyndra looked very out of place on the bridge. She had changed into party wardrobe before reporting for Gamma watch duty. The Trellium silk dress shimmered with scintillating rainbows with the slightest movement or breath of enviromental breeze. She had put on makeup and the powder on her cheeks contained small sparkles that echoed the dress. Her wings she had dusted as well though one could not see the effect due the chair back and the tight folding they were in. She glanced at the chronograph and decided that it was as good as time as any. Permission had been given to 'take a little time off' from normal duty shift. She stood causing the rainbows to shiver ever more so. "Ensign," she looked to the helmsman. "The conn is yours. Anything noted call me."

"Yes ma'am. Enjoy the party ma'am." He replied and nodded before turning back to watching the screen and the instruments.

As Allyndra made her way down and entered she noted already that others had arrived. She smiled at that but more so because she had heard that real alcohol, well at least one drink worth's was to be had. If would not be a bar if there was not some Klingon blood wine stuffed in amoung the bottles. That was her goal and she made her way there to order the best, strongest that the bartender had.

"Bloodwine, stronger the better."

Making her way around the lounge, Korre nodded to the pair behind the bar as they moved smoothly between requests. Wales had already been a fixture of the ship while Prost had come on board with her. For all he looked like a college kid on spring break, he had a good demeanor and seemed to handle crowds with a practiced ease and a ready smile - which he was currently utilizing with the CMO.

"Not pure Klingon," Ethan offered as he handed over the glass, "But it's the purest we have on tap, Ma'am"

Miraj arrived in the first ensemble she could grab that wasn't a uniform - a tightly fitting electric blue sailor dress that came to just above mid thigh, with piping in neon green, matching knee high socks and white patent Mary-janes., Pink hair still in their usual bunches. After the disaster of earlier that evening Miraj wasn't sure she wanted to be anywhere near other people, especially if it ran the risk of bumping into Luke. But she also wanted to distract herself and Bloodbeard wasn't working. It was a good an answer as any, and she could at least hide behind other people.

She went straight to the bar and ordered her usual Zombie Prince (four types of rum, its green and eats your brain) insinuated herself between Rahl and Braxton, and slurped down half of it in two gulps before she said. "Hi. I'm Miraj."

Braxton smiled. "Hello. I'm Braxton. Chief Science. You're the young lady that parked this ship right in between the two crew drop off ships aren't you? That was some move!"

"It was easy." She smiled at the compliment nevertheless. "There was tons of room, we just popped right in. A baby could do it."

Eelim had opted for black dress pants and an emerald green silk shirt. He styled his hair in the usual neat slicked back Cardassian style and headed into the bar. He looked around and smiled. It looked amazing. His eyes, however, were drawn to Allyndra. She looked....wow. That's the only thought he could muster. He hurried over and took the stool next to her. "Hi." He said with a goofy smile.

"Good evening or rather day technically. How are you Eelim?" Allyndra asked.

He smiled. "Better now that you're here." He looked at her and thought for a moment. They had never discussed what would happen in public. Did she even want people to know they he was courting her.... "Um... are you okay with us being seen talking ?" He asked.

"And why would I not be?" Allyndra asked perplexed. "I may be Second Officer, Chief of Medicine and Head of House Warraquim, but that does not mean that I hold myself apart. I still have hearts that beat, and feelings like any other. Come on, share a drink with me."

Eelim smiled and took her hand kissing her inner wrist. "I will share anything you wish Princess." He'd started calling her Ally or Princess as a nickname and she hadn't said anything thus far so he didn't think she minded.

He sat by her and gave a nod to the bar keep. "A Betazoid's Dream please."

Ethan arched an eyebrow at the wanna-be player, but he didn't say anything, instead, turning back to mix up the requested drink and hand it across the bar.

Allyndra smiled. "I truly must instruct you sometime on Akkadian customs. We never abbreviate names for each has a meaning to it."
She then said, "Allyndra" but with the way it was to be pronounced with a distinctive almost singing voice to it with a touch of the trill on the r part.

"It means the wind rising off the sea in the morning." She shrugged and then chuckled, "As for proper etiquette there I would be addressed as Mother but it would definitely sound odd here."

He smiled. "Allyndra then. It wasn't meant as disrespect Princess." He used the term because to him she was a princess. "And the M word....um...no. It would really be odd here." He chuckled.

"So I am not familiar with Cardassian, Eelim does it have a meaning?"

"Eelim means Protector." He smiled. He thanked the man for the drink and sipped the purple drink that carried a taste like alcohol but in reality had none in it. "You look so beautiful Ally...Allyndra." His eyes couldn't get enough of looking at her. He reached over and took her hand holding his breath hoping she wouldn't pull away.

"Thank you, I have heard that it is expected for one to 'show off' for such occasions. You look handsome yourself but I would have to admit that a formal attire of Akkadia would suit you.....Protector." While he held her hand she had a thought and then smiled, "Perhaps we should dance? We enjoy dancing on Akkadia, though it is formal, come on let me 'bribe' the DJ and show you a few steps." She got up not releasing his hand and jerked her head toward where the music was playing.

Eelim smiled and put his drink down. He followed her. A secret that he had was that he was quite an accomplished dancer...at least ballroom dancing but he'd try anything once.

Allyndra talked for a moment to the person that was in charge of the musical portion of the entertainment and he nodded. A few moments he managed to swage the current selection into a waltz. Allyndra was quite familiar with that, for it was not much different then Akkadian dances and she returned and asked, "Are you familiar with this style?"

"Very." He said smiling.

"Then let us show them how it is done." As she finished that she made that deep formal curtsy that all females on Akkadia learned from a very early age. She noted Eelim's bow and then rose and took to his arms.

Eelim placed his hand around her waist and positioned their clasped hands for the waltz. "Ready?"

"Ready," she moved the the balls of her feet as if ready to water dance but it was the same with Akkadian dances.
