Mission: Episode 02 - Resupply
Location: USS Galileo - Various
Timeline: MD 01 - 0420 hrs

ON:

The starship finally came to a halt on the surface of Vega, not too far from the Vega Colony.

Bridge

On the bridge, Ens. Rhodes became aware that he was completely on the other side of the bridge than he had been just a few moments ago. There were very few lights. He did see a few people moving about, which appeared to be medical personnel.

Rhodes tried to stand and found that most of his left side ached including a massive head ache, but nothing seemed to be broken. Standing he found that the entire ship sat a slight list to the port side. His thoughts ranged from concern for the wounded here and across the ship to the safety of this ship itself. He knew that the Vega Colony would be sending assistance, but he knew that certain things needed to be secured. He reached up and tapped his Comm Badge, =^= All security personnel report! =^=

DECK 4: SICKBAY ENTRANCE

Lying on the deck outside of sickbay, it took Smoak's eyes several moments to adjust to the emergency lighting systems. The deck seemed like it had been shut down. His head was throbbing, pulsing alongside his heartbeat, but he could move. He reached up and placed his palm against the bulkhead, using it as leverage to pull himself to his feet. His back was aching but it was easily dismissed. The grogginess, however, had yet to wear off. He stumbled slightly and struggled to maintain his balance, but was soon on his feet and stable.

He wondered where Gala had gone. The Bolian, a PO1, had been his partner when they were assigned to stand post at sickbay's entrance. He held his head and rubbed his hands over the front of his body, searching for an immediate injury but soon came to the conclusion that he was fine.

"Urgh..."

A groan from round the corridor's bend caught his attention. He shuffled forward, trying to maintain his balance, certain that he was on an incline. The source groaned again - he almost recognised the voice. Hands against the bulkhead for balance, he gradually rounded the corner and blinked through the fog in his mind as he spied Gala, lying with his back to the bulkhead wall. He had a large wound on his head.

=^= All security personnel report! =^=

Stumbling towards his colleague, Justin grasped at his badge and pressed it in, activating a communications link. "This is team four in section...uh - we're at, uh, we're at sickbay. One wounded here so far; Petty Officer Gala."

Rhodes thought that Smoak seemed a bit disoriented, but that was should be considered normal under the situation. =^= The worst is over. Maintain your post, the best you can. Assist where you are. The next hour is going to be very crucial. =^=

DECK 5: PHASER ACCESS

Davis's eyes snapped open. The hall room was dark, periodically the swirling red light would illuminate everything in a blood red wash of colour. "What the hell?" He groaned and swivelled his head to get a better look around, only to receive a pounding throb from the back of his head followed by sparkling in his eyes. He cursed and waited for his vision to clear before he attempted to assess the situation.

He tapped his badge. =^= Davis here, I'm stuck in a hall or room or something, my vision is completely messed up. I can't see very well. =^= It was only then, from the flash of red light he kept seeing sparkles, but he began looking himself over, more through touch and feel than sight. His arms moved, his legs were working, nothing seemed broken, but his head throbbed terribly.

He forced his eyes open once more to scan the wall to see where he was. The pain was almost unbearable, but the room lit up enough for him to read a nearby sign. He slammed his eyes shut once more and the pain began to subside. =^= I'm on deck 5...near the phaser bank I think. Rhodes you are a welcome voice, man. Have you heard from the others? =^=

Rhodes replied, =^= Davis, we will have someone around to get you out soon. Are you injured? =^=

Davis grunted =^= My head feels like the day after shore leave, but I'll be alright. =^= He thought he was well overdue to try to stand. As he pushed himself onto one knee he kept his eyes closed. =^= I'm on my feet. What happened sir?=^=

Theron tried not to laugh in his response, =^=To make a long story short, we had slightly unorthodox landing, but we are down and relatively safe. =^=

=^= Explain that to my head...=^= Davis replied, having finally managed to get on both feet and open his eyes AND not fall back down. =^= I am definitely near the Deck 5 Phaser bank, looks like there wasn't a lot of people here when we landed. I'll take a look around and then move down towards deck 9, have we had word from the security officers? =^=

Rhodes was concerned about Ens. Rice too. =^= I have not heard from Ens. Rice yet, but we are checking all decks for wounded as we go. I will meet you at the landing ramp. =^=

Deck 4 corridor

Lying on his front, Gabriel Stark watched the wall close to him hazily. He was enthralled by the pattern some marks made on it. He just stared at it, connecting the marks with lines in his mind. He heard a distant chirp, and some slurred words. He sighed, wondering why the voice was slurring. The second chirp seemed louder, closer, but the voice was still low and blurred.

He wasn't sure what did it, but things suddenly sharpened into focus.

Gabriel threw himself onto his back with a gasp, looking around with wide eyes before jumping up into a kneeling position. He looked around the dimly lit corridor, his breath fast and body tense, as if ready for attack. His gaze fell on another uniform and he moved quickly.

"Aria? Aria, you okay?" he asked firmly, his hands on her shoulder, giving her a shake.

Aria whimpered as she turned into it. There was a nice bruise already forming on above her left eye and she had bitten her lip in her fall. "Yeah...yeah, I..." she grimaced and spat, not delicately at all. "God, I scraped all the skin off my knees...you okay, Gabriel?"

Gabriel nodded, letting out a long breath, studying her features with a frown. "But you're not, I should get you to Sickbay. Now."

Mor'an stumbled down the corridor, uncharacteristically unsteady on her feet. She had just been released from sickbay after having been knocked unconscious on the bridge and she was queasy. Catching sight of the two figures in front of her, she hurried has best she could to assist them.

"Ensign Rice!" she called when she saw the girl on the ground. "Stark, how long has she been like this?"

---------------------------------

Bridge

More personnel were coming onto to the Bridge to help with the wounded. "Are you all right Sir." The med-tech asked Rhodes.

Still leaning against the wall with his feet mostly under him, Rhodes glanced up in the dim light, "I'll be alright, just some bruising."

After the med-tech moved on to help others, Rhodes made his way across the tilted bridge to check on the Tactical console on the far side. He found most of the systems to be dead. When he touched the phaser readout control. That part of the console showered sparks up, lighting up the whole bridge of a moment.

This was not going well, Theron thought. He knew he needed to follow procedures, even in this case and keep the ship secure. Procedures dictate that once the ship has landed, no matter the situation. Security Procedure Blue Alpha should be implemented. Switching his Comm to Beta channel for security only, he tapped it, =^= All available security personnel, proceed to security-blue-alpha position. Please report once you have arrived. =^=

No reports came immediately, so Theron moved toward the door to head down through the ship to the lower decks. He knew that as soon as personnel secured the Engineering, Armory, computer core, and exterior access points he would begin to get reports. He would make sure that the ship was secure and ready to receive assistance when it arrived.

DECK 5: PHASER ACCESS

Remembering suddenly what he had to do. Davis shook his head, trying to clear it and made his way down the corridor. "Engineering should be nearby, only a couple decks down." He said to the red and black hallway. He came across a couple personnel who were up and about. He stopped momentarily before making his way to Engineering.

He noticed that many of the halls on his way to Engineering were much of the same thing. The lighting was spotty at best, emergency lights were on and everywhere red lights flashed. Davis never realized that there were so many red lights.

He made it to the Engineering room only to find three other officers already in place helping out and keeping tabs on the entire situation. "This just ain't my day." He groaned and walked up to the nearest officer. "What do we got?"

The officer, a ragtag bandage across his forehead gestured with his arm. "We got the place secure Anthony...you do realize you bleeding everywhere."

Davis felt the back of his head, having the hand come away wet, sticky and red. "Why is it always red?" He muttered to himself.

He waved away the officer's concerns. "Alright then. I'm going to meet up with Ensign Rhodes down by the Armoury, unless you need me here?"

The officer shook his head. "Don't worry about it, we got this place under wraps. The XO will probably be heading off to the ramp before too long. Try heading up to the armoury, you'll want to get yourself equipped.

Anthony nodded and tried not to pass out. He turned to the way he came.

------------------------------------

Landing Ramp

Ens. Rhodes made his way to the lower decks. During the trek down many dark passageways and Jefferies tubes he received reports from the different segments of security. He was very proud of the officers and crewmen to take up their duty after such a traumatic landing. As he approached the landing ramp he found 3 other security personnel already present with tactical gear and type 3 phasers. A big grin came across Theron's face.

"Just waiting for you, Sir." Davis said and handed him a phaser rifle.

Accepting the rifle Rhodes said, "We both know that we may not need these." Looking down at the rifle. "But I am very pleased that . . . we are ready to secure the ship."

Anthony nodded. "Let's do this. After you sir." His deep voice cutting through the sirens.

"All right then." Rhodes exclaimed. "Open her up."

The security crewman stepped over and activated that emergency ramp opening sequence. There was a loud, 'CLUNK' and the ramp parted. A dusty gusty of fresh air entered the ramp way. The ramp moved slow and steady only taking about 5 seconds to open fully. Darkness lay beyond the opening. There was a large cloud of dust kicked up by the end of the ramp hitting dirt below.

Davis turned his head slightly, then readied his rifle. Taking a slow step forward and nodded. "Looks clear sir."

Rhodes glanced around one more time at the security contingent, "Let us do this by the numbers." He turned and walked down the ramp into the night.
