Mission: Episode 04 - Exodus
Location: USS Galileo - Mess Hall
Timeline: MD4 Time 1620

[ON]

Luke found himself heading along the corridor on deck two towards the mess hall. With the current state of the ship and the chaos of everything he had neglected to eat and drinks for far to long, his stomach lumbered as if to agree. He strode into the mess hall which seemed to be in a relatively better condition than most of the ship his only guess what that the Borg didn't see this as a high priority location but there were still burnt out consoles and small chunks of debris pushed against the walls.

Luke joined the back of the queue and shuffled along with the rest, we wondered if this was what it would be like if he ever got assimilated. Stepping up to the hot plate he slid a tray and plate of the separate piles and placed it on the counter top "What's it going to be today?" He asked curiously.

"That." Alex said pointing to the plate of hamburger meat he had cooked up the night before. "Grab a bun and put whatever you want on it." He finished as he set a few more bowls of onions and cheese slices on the counter. "They're cold though, just warning you."

Luke couldn't believe what he could see there was a large amount of beef burgers on the counter and next to them was two smaller stacks of onion and cheese slices. "Thats something you don't see everyday" he picked up a bun from of the side and placed a bit of beef into it.

"Yeah well, we dont have much choice. I replicated it before the attack and the refrigeration unit they were in busted, so... had to cook them all." Alex said as he put a bowl of lettuce and tomatoes on the counter as well. Finally getting a good look at the man, Alex smiled, "Wait a moment... I know you. You were on Venture as well."

Luke was not phased fro the question, he had heard it many time before. "Yes I was rescued from the wreckage of the Venture" He replied without remorse whilst putting a slice of tomato into his bun followed next by some lettuce the chef had just placed on the counter.

Alex shook his head, "Obviously, I meant you were on Venture AS WELL." He stated putting emphasis on the as well part.

Luke looked up to study this chef before frowning "Oh I am sorry, I cant recall seeing you. I take it you was also the chef on the Venture?" He asked his burger was no complete but he thought to linger for a little while and talk with Alex.

"I ran the Warp Plasma, the bar near engineering in the Engineering hull." Alex said as he wiped his hands off and leaned over the counter.

"Oh I remember that bar, a lot of the marines spoke about it. Highly if I might add however I didn't really go" he replied moving to the sure allowing someone to pass.

"Too bad, it was a good joint. I'm gona miss it... but I've already struck a deal with the Captain here to take over one of the Mess Hall's and turn it into a bar." Alex said with a shrug. "I take it not alot of other Marines made it through?" He asked with a frown.

Swapping down the sour tastes that had now engulfed his mouth he have an uneasy smile "none" he didn't feel the need to elaborate on the matter. "But it's good to see that the ships chef survive after all it's an honour itself being regarded so highly!" He piped changing the conversations quickly.

Alex chuckled, "Honour is an interesting subject this that regard. It's not something I generally take much stock in personally. I just do what I do to give people a good time and make sure they are happy."

"And sometimes that's the difference from winning and losing a battle." He bit into his burger chewing before nodding satisfyingly before swallowing. "This is good!"

"Thanks." Alex said with a smile, "Now sadly, I must leave you to your burger. I have to go start ripping apart another mess." Alex said as he clapped his hands together, "Lots of burnout pieces in the rear mess." He finished with a grimace.

Luke nodded "Then I shall leave you to it, thanks again for the food!" He picked up his plate and proceeded to sit down one of the spare tables.
