Warrant Officer Oliver Sylver was glad he had survived his medical, shoreleave and his first few shifts since shoreleave. In fact, he would praise whatever god there was for it right now. Still. He had gotten a message that he was wanted in Security. Which wasn't too odd for him either. As a Warrant Officer, and therefore a specialist in his field, he was often asked to different departments to do different things. Either advice, or just explain things. So it wasn't that alien to him as he walked into the office, looking around. It seemed a bit more quiet compared to last time he was here.

Not that it bothered him that much.

Running a hand over his dark hair to tame it, he walked to the office of the Chief of Security and rang the chime, waiting for him to answer.

Jeremy watched the man enter, running through his name, rank, position and security ident automatically before he even came in. "Mister Sylver," Jeremy said, scowling. "You are a pain in my ass lately. The last thing I need with everything else on this ship is to be in contact with Vega authorities regarding their intent to file charges against members of this crew."

Oliver grimaced as he watched him, taking a breath. "I paid for the damages," he said, softly. "And the landlord didn't seem to mind once I bought everyone a round. Of course, his son took a little bit of an issue..."

"That's the way it is with you people isn't it?" Jeremy asked. "You think throwing some money at an issue makes it go away? How about the authorities that had to be summoned for the problem and their responses? Other people hurt who weren't involved in the original incident - did you take care of them as well? Or, did you stop to think about how that made this crew look? Or were you too busy being an idiot to consider anything other than yourself and your own idiocy?"

Oliver watched him for a long moment, studying him. "*You* people, Sir? What people would that be? Humans? The English, Sir?" he asked, watching him closely, a weak smile tugging at his lips. "I left the establishment on good terms, my wallet lighter and the landlord happy...despite the bruises we had gotten."

Jeremy sighed as he stood and leaned on the desk. "Douchebag fratboys who fail to understand the ramifications of their actions. Let me tell you the ramifications, Sylver. I have it on good authority that Vegan officials are looking into charges for the numerous problems they say you caused, not to mention the collateral damage and injuries caused. If they send a request for your appearance in their court systems, I will throw you in the brig and have you transported back to Vega under guard. If you continue to think that you're just some 'good ol boy' and that this activity will be allowed to continue aboard this ship, think again, Sylver. This is the only warning you get - the only break you get regarding this. Make sure I don't have to see you again."

He watched Stone for a long moment, letting out a soft breath. "I am hardly a fratboy. I do believe I am older than you," he said firmly, holding his eyes. "If they charge me, then let them and I will go back. I have, however, never been in a brawl on a ship during peacetime. And sincerely doubt I will ever do so. I regret that you take this attitude with me, Sir...when blowing off steam is natural for many people. Granted, usually not to such extremes...but it takes two to tango. I am not the only person responsible for the fights."

"You're the person aboard this ship, and that's what I care about. Next time this ship is a guest of a colony such as Vega, you will show restraint and act like a Starfleet officer. Let me remind you, in case you forgot, you're Starfleet - that gives me the authority to enforce any and all regulations and laws against you, regardless of location. You blacken the eye of this crew with your puerile behavior, and I will exercise that authority."

Oliver straightened slightly, holding his eyes. "I only blacken eyes when threatened," he said, as simple as that. "When not, I do not tend to be a violent man. You do not need to remind me of my loyalties...I have always been loyal to Starfleet and the Federation."

"You have a funny way of showing it," Jeremy answered. "Make sure to understand, I don't make threats. Threats are pointless. You are dismissed."

He watched him for a moment and sighed. This was a man who had problems...his talk with the good doc had showed that. Not that he knew any details except the man was on medication...And as someone who had served during the war, he understood that adjusting to things was difficult. Maybe that was what made him not argue. "Yes Sir...I understand perfectly." He turned before stopping. "I hope you settle in well here, Sir. You might...find peace."

Jeremy scowled as the man left his office. He sat back down and looked over what else he had on his agenda. Eventually he was sure Rhodes would get tired of him in the office on Beta and would say something. And, eventually, in a few days hopefully, things would settle into a routine.
