404 words; about a 2 minute read
Mission:
Episode 20 - Reconstruction
Location: USS Galileo-A - Deck 3, Security Office/Brig
Timeline: MD 02, 1400ish
Previously, on Initiates (Part 2)...
Toren gave the Cardassian a respectful nod, his antennae bouncing a little.
"Welcome aboard, sah," his gravelly tone betrayed nothing in particular, "I'm sure you'll find things much as they were when you were last aboard."
"Good to see you again Ensign Zalos." Jeysa said after the Cardassian woman introduced herself to Toren.
"Good to see you too. It's been a while, hasn't it." She'd need to catch up with Jeysa later - right now, though, she'd need to get these formalities out of the way. "I'm glad to be back."
And Now, the Conclusion...

Saelihn had taken to the chief's chair in security like a duck to water. It almost felt right, as if it had been hers before. Maybe in another timeline but she shook her head of that thought as reports came in of the transferring of supplies and crew into the security department. However, at the moment she was just filling in until a new chief was appointed. Rice and Ghemora had quickly transferred out, almost as if their path wasn't meant to be on the Galileo
Looking down the list she saw three new crew.
Petty Officer 2nd Class Sova Zh'zynon - seasoned security experience, and an Andorian to boot. Oddly enough Saelihn always felt she hadn't interacted with enough of the Andorian people. They were exciting, passionate and strangely she found the twitch of their antennae to be almost mesmerising.
Petty Officer 2nd Class Rachel Ellison - another well seasoned non-com at 36 years of age. Human, but that wasn't unusual as in Starfleet they were still the most common species. Strange though that someone of that age wasn't more than a PO2 but Saelihn shrugged that thought away.
And, Petty Officer 3rd Class Giles Wentz - more of the same thankfully. Human, 28 and came with a good reputation and record.
She was quite happy with the three new transfers and the supplies she was receiving. Swapping out of some older weaponry such as handheld phasers and rifles for more up to date models and a top up of torpedo's.
She was also quite happy to see the back of her two prisoners as they were transferred into Starfleet Security's custody for further questioning and investigations.
To Be Continued...
