Mission: Episode 06 - Legend of Souls
Location: USS Galileo - Deck 2, Section 30, Room 15 - Min & Jared's Quarters
Timeline: MD09 - 1600hrs

Min stepped into her quarters, Lian still swaddled in the sling, busy sleeping away oblivious to everything. She could hear Jared in the bedroom sleeping away as he'd pretty much crashed again after they'd gotten back home.

Sitting down on the couch, Min shifted her uniform jacket out of the way so she could open up the post-maternity undershirt. Starfleet had recognized early on that once women serving on ships were going to have babies while aboard, that uniforms designed to permit growth due to pregnancy, and later on to assist in discreet nursing, were necessary for female crew. The current design she wore owed it's heritage to that singlular idea and at this moment Min was grateful.

Shifting Lian so she was facing the exposed Breast, Min enticed her daughter to latch on. Not much convincing was needed as Lian took to it rather quickly and contently suckled while she dozed. The sling holding Lian in place, Min was able to doze off as well.

Jared awoke slowly and a bit groggily. He realized two embarrassing things at once. First he had fallen asleep on top of the bed still fully dressed and secondly he had drooled on the pillow.

Waking up a bit more he unmade the bed and switched into a pair of boxer shorts, his usual sleeping attire and went in search of Min.

A smile came to his face when he saw her dozing on the couch with Lian attached to her. Ever so gently and quietly he went and shook Min's shoulder. Careful not to disturb his sleeping infant.

Min slowly awoke, a little confused at first why she was being shaken, and why something fleshy feeling was attached to her breast, or why she was partly unclothed for that matter. Very quickly it dawned on her that the shaking was her husband and the thing attached to her breast was her daughter.

Looking sleepily at Jared she smiled. "Must have dozed off when I got back. How long have I been out?"

"I don't know, about forty minutes or so. Come on let's go to bed. I want to hold you."

"Let me get Lian settled and I'll join you." Min slowly sat up so as not to disturb her daughter. Gently unlatching her, Min carried her to her cradle before gently placing her down on her back. Setting a localized temperature control to a safe but comfortable level, Min slipped into the bedroom where Jared was already waiting for her.

Jared opened the covers for her and waited until she crossed the room and laid down. "You just lean against me as much as you're able to. I'm here for you, I'm your support, I just don't want to hurt you, so stop me if I do anything to cause you pain."

Min slipped into bed beside Jared, propping her head up against the wall at the head of the bed. Curling up against Jared she found a comfortable spot. Taking the hand he offered her, Min intertwined their fingers. "It doesn't hurt a lot Jared. Just feels like a bunch of bruising down there." She smiled. "A week isn't that long to heal. Centuries ago women were told to wait four to six weeks before resuming normal activities, sometimes longer if surgery was involved."

"I know its not long and I hope you know me well enough by now to know that I'm not concerned about not getting any for another week or however long it takes, I only concerned about you and your getting better. Well that and our daughter's health."

"I know Jared. I'm just sore enough that even the thought of being touched down there is painful. When I'm ready you'll know." Min smirked.

"In the meantime, there's no harm in cuddling is there?"

"Of course not lover." Min shifted slightly, a better position to cuddle in, her arm draping across Jared's chest. "I think just the quiet and closeness is enough tonight."

"It's more than good enough for me too," he replied burrowing closer to her.
