ON:

Norvi picked up her final duffel bag and shot Wyatt a glance. "Last one," she said, slumping it over her shoulder and flashing him a smile. "Well," she then added jokingly, "it's been emotional."

Luke stood in the doorway crossing his arms and nodded "It has certainly been emotional but you can't lie it wasn't a little fun to" He smiled "I think I might even miss you!" He exaggerated his thoughtful face and shook his head "Actually probably not" The truth was Luke enjoyed having the company and Stace kept him on his toes.

"Definitely not!" Stace corrected him with a smile. "But it wasn't as bad as I thought. I'm just looking forward to getting back to my quarters before we head on down for the away mission." She paused and nodded to the bed. "Who's your next bunkmate, Luke?"

"I wont be having one, haven't you heard I'm the full time chief of security now! He said proudly "Though I am sad as you will be my last, not that its a bad thing I'm just saying" He shrugged before speaking somewhat excitedly. "We should celebrate."

"Absolutely!" Stace replied with a beaming smile. "Congratulations!" She leant in and then noticed the pips on his collar. "I can't believe I didn't notice them. I usually have such a good eye detail." She readjusted her holdall bag on her shoulder and then gave him a nod. "Let me just dump my stuff and then you can meet me in the bar, if you like."

Luke was glad to see Stace smile especially one so radiant in that she meant it. "Its not like we've been exactly noticing each other much other than mentor and student" He lied. "I'll meet you there then? The bar I mean in ten?" He offered.

" 'Mentor and student'?" Stace parroted with a laugh. "Lieutenant, don't let that rank go to your head. There's nothing in this world you can teach me."

Luke thought to bite his tongue instead he winked as he began his way down the separate form in the corridor "I'm sure there's something I could teach you" with that he turned and made his way down to the bar ready for her.

Stace shook her head and returned to her quarters to deposit her bags. She brushed off her uniform, admired the quiet empty space that was once again hers and then headed to for the bar finding Luke already there.

"What'll you have, Wyatt? A beer?"

Luke nodded and showed his half empty pint glass "Indeed I am" He agreed whilst taking a sip. "And you? What are you have Norvi" He asked using her first name, he had picked up the trait during the training program they had worked on together.

"A beer, thanks," she said loudly enough for the bartender to hear. The Bolian poured her her crisp lager, and passed it to her. She clasped her slender hand around the cold glass lifted it up and toasted to Luke's promotion. "To progression," she said, a smile on her lips and she took a deep draught of the glass.

Luke could raise his glass to that at least and with a single motion he brought up his glass and smile "To progression" He mimicked before taking a sip of his drink. "What have you come out of the experience with?" He asked curiously.

"That I prefer my own quarters," Stace jested. She lifted to glass up to her mouth and took another drink. "And that academy training is harder than I remember! What about you?"

"Never to accept to do one of Blakes room share idea's again but I must say I did enjoy sharing quarters it was... fun" He smiled "In the way an annoying roommate can be fun, fun" He added sipping his drink.

"Well," she cut in, "it's not my kinda fun." She smiled and then leant against the bar a little further. "I'm more of a hot bubble bath and glass of prosecco kinda woman. I've spent enough of my days sharing my living space. Plus, how do you get any privacy? Surely you can't suffer for company."

"I can enjoy a good bubble bath and a nice glass" He agreed with a nod of his head, his hair was longer than usual and his fringe bobbed. "You can have privacy but its always fun to come home to someone and talk about the day I still speak to my friends form boot camp there's almost something intimate having to live together at work" He explained.

"Over the lifetimes," she started with, raising both eyebrows, "you tend to appreciate your own company, I guess." She raised her beer again. "To roommates."

"To room mates!" Luke grinned as he drank his drink. "I'm sorry for having to speak against you about the tribbles" he blurted out. "It's not that I didn't disagree with you but it was them or us" He added quickly.

"You're entitled to your opinion, Luke!" Stace defended, pushing back the urge to admit that in her Starfleet career she had faced a lot worse an opposition. "But I'm sure the brass have made the right decision."

Luke nodded lulling over the thought as he rimmed his glass with one of his fingers. "I hope so too" He stated simply. "Well I should get going I have a few things to do and I'm sure you're a very busy person" he smiled.

She raised her glass to him once again and nodded. "You're welcome to invite me for a beer any time, Lieutenant. It's been nice getting to know you."
