Mission: Episode 03 - Frontier
Location: USS Venture (Saucer) - Deck 6, Transporter Room; Deck 10, Lounge
Timeline: MD 06 - 2207 hours

[ON]

Atop the transporter platform, the flurry of the transporter effect coalesced into the Argelian form of Andreus Kohl. The blond colouring in his hair was washed out to highlights, and the stubble across his face had become a trim beard. Kohl was clad in a violet v-neck polo shirt, ass-hugging copper trousers, and plum monk-strap shoes. Kohl's eyes focused and he became aware of his surroundings in the transporter room aboard USS Venture's saucer section. He crossed one arm across his chest and gripped his biceps. Kohl held his breath and struggled with the entire notion of... walking. He had done a fair bit of pre-drinking in the quarters he shared with Aria. He needed to appear sober enough to avoid being questioned by the local security staff, but he didn't want to concentrate so hard as to shake off the intoxication of the synthehol in his system.

Aria grinned as she saw Kohl, rushing over. She wore a tight top and a corset that showed off her small waist, a miniskirt over thick tights and impossibly high boots. She had made her eyes up dark with a nude lipstick and her hair was straightened...but with blue and red streaks in it to match the colours she wore. "Andreus!" she grinned, hugging him tightly...her breath smelled vaguely of mints and alcohol. Not even syntehol, but real alcohol. "Mmm...missed my bloody amazingly comfy roomie!"

Kohl had taken one step down off the platform when the smaller woman had tackled him. He swayed as he wrapped his arms around Aria and held her tight. All the while, he was working on balancing his stance with one foot on the platform and one on the step. "I'm going to talk to the Captain," Kohl said, all selfless determination. "Our shifts need to be synchronized. This alternative is utterly unacceptable."

Aria laughed and slapped his arm, his eyes gentle. "They are now, aren't they? Alpha crew..." she smiled as she took his hand, holding it firmly. "After all, we're important people now...important people in need for a bloody drink..."

"Well, exactly!" Kohl said. Releasing Aria, Kohl stepped the rest of the way down to the deck. "You must be toasted in champage and fruity drinks, Assistant Chief Aria."

Aria smiled as she walked, her eyes shining. "Shit, it still feels unreal to me, you know?" she glanced at him, nervously.

"I do know. Believe me. When they made me Assistant Chief, I ended up threatening to quit Starfleet..." Kohl said. Although it was only days ago, he was laughing about it now. As the pair of them stepped out of the transporter room, Kohl linked arms with Aria. "But it doesn't feel unreal to me that they made you an Assistant Chief."

She smiled as she walked with him, her eyes shining as she leant closer. "It so is! Don't even bloody dare to tell me differently..." she teased, resting her head against him. "I just wish I could speak up a bit more! Rhodes is brilliant but he is so serious..."

"Serious means he's in need of a little deflating," Kohl replied quickly. They crossed the way and turned a corner to approach the nearest turbolift access. "Has he ever reacted poorly to your humour?" Kohl asked.

Aria shrugged, watching him almost shyly. "He doesn't always seem to approve, but he isn't negative to me about it."

"Well, there you go, Aria. Silence is tacit approval. That's part of the agreement between introverts and extroverts!" Kohl declared. The turbolift doors parted for them, and Kohl dragged Aria in, using his arm linked with hers. Kohl asked the computer to take them to the lounge on deck ten, and then he snuggled against Aria. "My vote is for you to voice every opinion that flits across your clever mind," Kohl said.

Aria smiled as she leant into his grip, her eyes shining. "Well, we should just go and party and be Andreus and Aria and just...have fun! No ranks or uniform!"

"I dunno," Kohl said, and he shook his head as he thought about it some more. "I'm not going to rule out uniforms yet. We just don't know what kind of fetishes these Venture freaks might have!" he said hopefully.

Aria smiled warmly as she pinched his side. "Hopefully some old time uniforms. Oh! Or leather! I like a little bit of freak with my kink..." she teased as they walked through.

The doors had hardly opened on the loud and buzzing bar before a shout sounded across the room. "Hey! Hey, Galileans!" Gabriel Stark called out from across the room, spotting them with eagle eyes, despite being in the middle of a group of people and holding near empty glasses in each hand. He seemed well and truly in his element. "Over here!"

Kohl tightened his grip on Aria's arm and he broke out into a sprint, pulling the smaller woman with him. They barreled into the crowd headed straight for their shipmate. "Gabriel," Kohl announced, bubbling with enthusiasm. "You're here already!"

"Hell yes!" Gabriel laughed, pushing forward to grab them both in a bear hug. "Ah! This place is great! You have ~got~ to try some of the blue stuff! I have no idea what it is, but it makes the world a bloody grand place!"

Aria smiled warmly, her eyes shining as she hugged Gabriel tightly. "I love this place already! So glad you're here..."

Gabriel clapped his hands before spreading his arms out either side of him with a shrug, tilting his head. "Where else would I be!"

As Gabriel disentangled himself from Aria and Kohl, Kohl ran his hand down the curve of Gabriel's lower back and ass. "I need some blue booze, stat," Kohl said, raising his voice to be heard above the music. "My world isn't nearly grand enough right now."

Gabriel grinned, leaning warmly and easily into the hand before slapping his thigh lightly. "Over here," he took them both by the hand and led them to a table at the side where he had a tray lined up with 9 shots of bright blue liquid. So bright, it almost glowed in the dim bar lighting. "Three each, one after the other, no stopping!" he set them out so they each had three lined up neatly in front of them. "Last one to finish gets the next round."

With practiced ease, Kohl double-fisted two of the shot glasses and downed the shockingly blue contents in quick succession. As he swallowed, he pinched the third shot glass in his left hand, without dropping the other, and poured it down his throat too.

Gabriel was half laughing at the sight even as he tried to knock his own back. Who'd have thought the prim and proper doctor had it in him. There was no doubt Kohl was going to be fastest. He looked to Aria to check out who was going to lose between them as he slammed a shot back.

Aria grabbed her and smiled, her eyes shining as she knocked it back quickly, slamming it down before picking the next up. She knocked it back too, not hesitating, letting it all just go.

Gabriel raced with her, slamming his glass down virtually at the same time of hers, laughing before sighing with relief. This was more like it. "Aw, that's better! Now we're much better set up for a good night..."

Aria grinned as she shook her head sharply. "Wow! That burned the back of my eyeballs..."

Kohl was too busy coughing to agree with Gabriel and with Aria.

Gabriel just laughed, shaking his head with eyes that shone with energy. "What better way to start a night, hm? Come on show me your moves, beautiful people," he took their hands to lead them to the group of dancers.

Aria laughed as she moved onto the floor, moving with the music. "Oh yes! I love this song...unstoppable..." she hummed, easily moving with the music, although a bit manic.

Following them both closely, Kohl draped his arms over Aria and Gabriel's shoulders. He leaned in to them, but as they started to dance, he raised his hands over his head. Kohl danced with his hips and the rest of his body swayed and jutted in asynchronous rapture. Swinging his arms above his head, Kohl's hands twisted at the wrists, forming gestures from well-practiced Argelian dance routines with none of the traditional timing or precision. Rather, he moved to match the beat of the song as well.

Aria smiled warmly, her eyes shining as she watched them. They were both so beautiful...she liked being surrounded by beauty. She might not have the grace, but she had energy...and now she used it to move.

"I was just telling Aria," Kohl said, his voice raised, his enunciation a little muddy, "She should make fun of Rhodes more. It's one of the duties of an Assistant Chief. Believe me! I know."

Gabriel laughed, shaking his head as he moved with them, his own arms thrown above his head as he moved, his hands clapping above his head every few beats. "I just realised I am totally outranked between you two!"

"Not hardly on the dance floor," Kohl replied. "Here, you outrank and outclass us. Well, me. Maybe not Aria."

Gabriel grinned at the words, sidling up closer so he could squeeze in between them, dancing against both athletic bodies with a sigh, his hands moving over his head. "I don't know, I think you're giving Argelians a very good name..."

"Wonder if there's any more of you here..." she laughed warmly as she moved closer to Kohl, her hand teasingly smacking his backside. "Maybe even a straight one?"

As soon as Gabriel stepped between Kohl and Aria, Kohl took that as an invitation to press his chest against Gabriel's body. Kohl wrapped his arms around Gabriel for a six thump-thumps of the music and then he outstretched his hands to grab at Aria too, pulling her in to really sandwich Gabriel. "I don't think even I could identify an Argelian on sight alone," Kohl said. "I would recognise the taste from a kiss, though."

Gabriel couldn't help the wave of heat that flooded over him at being pressed so close to the strong, athletic body, chased by a soft tingling down his spine at his words. He let out a shaking breath to try and keep his own body under control, laughing softly even as his eyes darkened a shade. "You hear that, Aria? I never should have told Blondie that I was a Human, I should have made him guess by kiss, it would have been much more fun."

Aria laughed warmly, nodding as she watched them with warmth. She could feel how warm Gabriel was and she pulled back, a little bit. "You can still do it though," she said, loudly. "Steal a kiss!"

All the while, Kohl was grinding against Gabriel's ass as he looked Aria in the eye. He reached over and he snatched at Aria's wrist. He pulled at her, gently pulling her closer after she tried to move away. Kohl wasn't thinking --not one thought-- he just let his body do. Tilting his head down, Kohl kissed the side of Gabriel's neck.

A bolt of heat raced down from the patch of skin Kohl's lips touched, making Gabriel's chest tight with his inability to take another breath under the sensation. His lips parted and his hand moved up and back to grab his blonde hair, unable to help himself, keeping him there as he arched the line of his neck to his lips - his other hand gripped Aria's slender waist to try and keep a hold on reality. His skin flushed furiously at reacting so easily and heatedly to such a simple caress. It had to be the blue stuff, he told himself firmly. Whether it was or not, his body pressed back to Kohl's, his body arching to let his hips push back further, to ride tight against the taller man's hips that were moving just too damn invitingly against him. "You're a bastard," Gabriel laughed on a shaking breath, but had clearly enjoyed the experience. "A hot bastard though."

"Not the reaction I'm used to," Kohl said tauntingly. He was speaking to Gabriel's choice of words, of course, and not the way Gabriel was moving against him in time with the music. "Aria, you would never call me a bastard if I kissed your neck, would you?"

"I'd call you a tease because I know you can't fulfil your promise..." Aria shot to him, her eyes shining as she smiled. "Besides, you two are hot together."

Folding his arms around Gabriel's abdomen, Kohl widened his eyes in faux-outrage at Aria's accusation. "I am certain," Kohl said, "between the three of us, we could find a way to fulfill that promise. If such promise were ever made."

Aria laughed as she shook her head, her eyes shining. "Seriously, no way..." she said and looked at Jack. She knew they were both gay and last time she checked, she lacked one specific thing. Or three. Or two. Or four. It depended on what you counted.

Gabriel watched Aria with eyes even darker than their usual brown. The attentions of Kohl had made his body melt back against him, pressing to the strong body behind him. His heart was thumping in his chest, and it wasn't just the drink and music anymore. And the way heat tightened inside of him made his skin burn and tingle more pleasantly than alcohol could achieve. Admittedly, Gabriel had been determined to take someone home with him for the night after a good drink and dance, but he hadn't guessed he'd lean towards Kohl. Quite literally. He reached up, touching Andreus' jaw before turning his face to his. He kissed him easily, moaning against his lips at the taste and feel of him, his fingers teasing down the hollow of his throat. He only pulled his lips away when he was desperate for a long, shaky breath and he looked to Aria with an arched eyebrow and a wicked smile but playful look. He leant forward so he could slap her backside with a quick and light hand.

Aria shrieked, her eyes shining gently. She pulled back, watching them for a moment. "I...am going to go to the ladies and then get a drink. I can catch up with you guys later?" she suggested. They were...getting a bit heavy with each other and she knew that some things were best left for the boys to do on their own. And she'd have fun dancing on her own too.

Kohl, meanwhile, wasn't thinking. He didn't feel as if he were capable of conscious thought. All that existed was Gabriel's tight body and how perfectly he fit into the crooks of his arms, and now there was the absence of kissing. Thought was starting to return because the kissing had stopped. Why wasn't Gabriel kissing him? And so Aria had started to saunter away, when Kohl called, "Aria-- no wait-- you don't have to--" He groaned in defeat, but as he did so, he was snaking his arm around Gabriel again roughly and he gripped the side of Gabriel's face to bring his lips back against his own.

Gabriel moaned warmly against his lips before laughing roughly to them instead. His heart was racing and skin burning as he nipped his bottom lip with a playful smile. "Show me how well an Argelian can move, Blondie..."
