ON:

Olly sighed as he rang the chime. Ops had contacted him. There was a couple they wanted in his room...so they had paired him up. He had said no to the first few...until he had seen Verity's name on the list. He wasn't sure this was such a good idea, but he trusted Verity. So if he had to live with someone, he wanted to live with Verity.

Verity opened the door up, smiling brightly as he saw him. "Hey, after another glass of my scotch?"

"And a bed," he said and smiled weakly taking a breath. "I am your new roommate, Verity..."

He watched him with surprise before smiling gently, he looked around the room. "I had better clean it up then."

He smiled warmly as he moved close, to whisper in his ear. "Not on my account," he winked and moved in, to the bed that wasn't in use. "I like your place."

"But I'm taking up most of the space. And there's the candles and Sebastian," he said quietly, shaking his head. His makeshift shrine/chapel area wasn't exactly going to be to other people's taste.

"I like that," Olly said, firmly, holding his eyes for a long moment. "Look. I could have paired with someone who was tidy and kept themselves to themselves...but I want you."

Verity smiled at that, holding his eyes as he let out a soft breath. "But you have to tell me if anything makes you uncomfortable, I mean, I have a Saint's shrine in here for goodness sake."

"It's all good," he moved to him and slapped his backside, smiling to him. "If you ask me anyway. Right, a bed's all I need for now. Got to have a nap before I crash..."

***

Verity glanced up from where he was crouched down by the bookcase, casting Oliver a small smile as he worked on shifting the books. He had been trying to clear some space for Oliver while the pilot had a nap and caught up on some sleep before having to go on duty. "You look like you got some good sleep," he laughed softly, his eyes shining with humour but it was impossible to tell if he was being sarcastic or not.

Olly pushed himself up, smiling as he rolled his shoulders. "Wasn't snoring too badly, was I?" he asked and smiled as he moved to get some coffee, rubbing sleep out of his eyes.

Verity watched him fondly. There was something 'cute' about people waking up. Unless they were grumpy. Although that could sometimes be amusing and cute at the same time. "I'm sorting through my books. To give you some room."

"I don't have much...you shouldn't have to do that," he smiled as he leant against the counter, studying him for a long moment. "Want some coffee?" he ran his eyes over him, clocking that he hadn't been sleeping.

"Would love to," he smiled warmly to him, pushing himself up and brushing himself down as he moved over to him. "Saviour, coffee."

Olly smiled warmly at the words, his eyes shining. "How do you take it?" he asked, moving to get his box. He took out the bag of coffee beans and the grinder, arching an eyebrow. He needed real coffee.

He laughed softly, watching him with shining eyes. "You don't know how tempting it is to give a risque answer to that," he teased. "Hot and sweet," he winked.

He laughed warmly at the words and nodded, getting the water before grinding the beans. "How you like your men and women?" he teased back, his eyes shining.

"Well at least you said it and not me!" he laughed softly, shaking his head as he looked to him. "But yes."

He chuckled warmly at the words and nodded, measuring the coffee out. "No worries there...I always say it. Used to be a marine, remember..." he said and winked.

"I'm sure you've said far, far worse," Verity laughed softly, watching him with an arched eyebrow and a knowing, but fond smile.

He laughed as he checked the temperature of the water before pouring it in. "Said and done worse, my darling," he winked playfully.

"You shall have to tell me all about it," Verity laughed warmly, hopping up onto a stool. "Keep me entertained."

"Are you saying you will be bored here?" he teased, reaching to touch his arm as he smiled.

"I'm saying you've probably had a lot more fun over the years than I have," he winked back, squeezing his arm.

Oliver smiled as he watched him before reaching to touch his cheek. "I doubt it," he whispered softly, his eyes gentle.

"You will have to tell me everything, so I can judge," Verity replied with a warm smile and a playful challenge, reaching for the coffee.
