Timeline: MD 02 1250 HRS

ON:

Cyrus needed a pilot.

His team would be ideal for almost every situation, that needed to include planetside, so if that were to happen, he would need a shuttle pilot for the missions where transporters were useless.

He had heard aout the Floght Officer Malin, but had never met her, something, he noted, that he needed to correct to get his team ' off the ground'.

"Computer Locate Lieutenant Malin." He commanded.

The computer responded. Lieutenant Mialin is in her office.

Good to know Kiwosk though to himself. It would make things a little easier if he was able to talk to her face to face in a slightly formal atmosphere. He began making his way to the Flight Control Office, with little time wasted and pressed the chime once he arrived.

"Lieutenant Malin. This is Chief Warrant Officer Kiwosk, I was hoping to talk to you about something Security related. "

"I've got the time now. Have a seat," Dea replied. "What's on your mind?"

"Great." Cyrus took a step inside and found a chair within easy reach. "First, it's a pleasure to meet you miss Malin. " He extended his hand.

"It's a pleasure to meet you as well Chief Quinn." Taking a seat behind her desk.

"Well, I'm not sure if you are aware, but we are having recruitment opportunities for some of the other departments to join our Tactical Response Team that is currently in the process of being established. " He smiled. "I was hoping to see if there were any potential shuttle pilots that would appreciate a spot on this team. "

Dea nodded, "It would help me to know what qualifications you're looking for in pilots. That way I can give you a better list of candidates."

"How vague would it be, if I said 'the best one you have?'" Cyrus chuckled.

"I can give you that answer easy enough. The best pilot on this ship happens to be me," Dea was giving him pure facts and nothing else. "Now if that's not the kind of answer you're looking for then I can give you a few other names."

Cyrus laughed. "Point taken Lieutenant, I should have seen that one coming. " He paused and clasped his hands together. "Trust me, if I felt that I were allowed, I'ad ask you to sign up in an instant. Unfortunately it's been a tough hill to climb. If you were able to send me a list of potential candidates that would be greatly appreciated. Any that come to mind? " He furrowed his brow in thought. "I would be looking for a shuttle pilot that can do drop, boarding...in necessary, quick get aways, you know everything a pilot can do and more."

"Yes I can get you a list of candidates," Dea replied with total sincerity.

not much of a talker is she Cyrus commented to himself, but kept quiet. "That would be perfect Ma'am. Any training and scheduling will be forwarded to you as soon as testing is over. Do you have questions about this team?" He asked, knowing that most of the others had asked already.

"Well I'd like to help out in any way I can. If you need further training from a flight perspective for the team I'm willing to help out there as well," Dea commented. "You haven't given me much to go on so its hard to give you more of an answer on personnel than I did."

"The TRT is designed to deal with a large variety of situations, like boarding, protection that would go beyond typical Security protocols, Rescuing people via shuttle craft, drop in rescues. You name, I would like to be prepared for it miss Dalin. So I suppose letting your imagine go would be the best kind of answer I could give you. " He chuckled. "I'm looking a shuttle pilot that's not afraid to go in hot, and not afraid to stay in a hot zone for as long as needed, for rescues, protections, body guarding, that sort of idea. "

Dea nodded, "I understand. Reason made the comment is because most of my background is as a combat pilot. Safe to say being assigned to a science vessel like Galileo is different for me. "While you've indicated its not ideal to have a department head as a TRT member, the offer stands. And given what we've seen so far I'm trying to train all my pilots to be able to perform under those conditions just in case. I'm willing to work with the person or other team members chosen as needed to ensure you're not stuck in hot water when it hits the fan."

Cyrus nodded, smiling. "If you want to apply, I'm certainly not going to stop you, I just don't want rank to come into play. It's the only reason I'm avoiding higher ups, that being said. I greatly appreciate this Lieutenant."

"Understood I just want to give you the best batch of candidates possible," Dea responded. "I won't keep you any longer. You'll have a full list of name by the end of the day."

Well, that went better than expected. "Excellent, don't be hesitate to apply yourself. Have a pleasant day Lieutenant." As he made for the exit it spung around at the last second. "Oh, I don't believe we've met before this, so may I be now able to say, congratulations on the new pips ma'am. " Kiwosk gave a quick salute.

"I just might," Dea responded then a smile formed at his mention of her promotion, "Thank you the promotion came as a surprise and I've been too busy to really celebrate just yet."

"i'm sure you will ma'am. I look forward to your candidates. " He nodded and left without so much as a further word.
