Mission: Episode 02 - Resupply
Location: Vega Colony - Central Hospital
Timeline: MD 01 - 2215 hrs

[ON]

It had been almost three hours since Lirha had admitted herself to Vega Colony's primary medical facility. Despite the competence of her own ship's medical staff, she had not wanted to burden them with any more of her injuries, yet the concussion she had suffered during the landing required her to receive at least some medical attention. So, silently and discretely, the Orion captain had left her ship in the good hands of her XO and had agreed to be taken by the colony's emergency personnel to Central Hospital, a large and diverse set of buildings which treated the majority of the population's injuries and medical conditions.

Unbeknownst to Lirha, what she thought would be a simple concussion diagnosis had turned into quite an affair. After inspecting her, medical personnel had decided to keep her overnight, much to the captain's chagrin. She had merely wanted to check herself in to be safe, but apparently the combination of her previous injuries from torture combined with the concussion, had meant that her attending doctor insisted that she stay overnight for observation.

Laying on her back in a medical bed, Lirha argued with the nurse who was treating her. "I need to get back to my ship, please." the captain told him simply but forcefully, repeating her argument for the fourth time now.

Her request was met with an absent-minded shake of the man's head, and he casually denied her request. "Sorry, medical protocols require anyone with your symptoms and recent history of trauma to be evaluated for at least twenty-four hours before we can release you."

The captain clenched her teeth and squirmed in her bed uncomfortably. "I understand, but unfortunately I have other duties. I am a Starfleet captain and I need to return to my vessel." she protested once again.

Her request fell on deaf ears as the nurse simply checked her vitals on the computer monitor and then headed towards the door. "You're staying here tonight...captain. Get some rest." he said curtly over his shoulder with what Lirha perceived as a bit of an attitude or possibly some disdain for Starfleet.

The door swished open and he was suddenly gone, leaving Lirha alone in the room to fume by herself. She began to contemplate a manner of escape; afterall, civilian authority should not override Starfleet authority...at least, in her opinion. She glanced at the window and then back to the main door, finally realizing that she was several stories from the ground level and any such attempt to walk out under her own judgement would probably be quickly intercepted. She was not a discrete-looking patient either, and her green skin and sharp features meant that she was easily recognizable. With a sigh of annoyance and murmuring Orion explicatives under her breath, she rolled on her side and sulked, wanting nothing more than to be released from the hospital and return to her ship for the night.

"You do realise if you'd fluttered those lucious eyelashes and dug in deeper, Cam would have actually given in." Silently Jersa leaned her arm against the doorway as she watched the woman in the bed. "I'm sure if you'd flashed some of that green skin, he'd have fainted on the spot and you could have just stepped over him and left." The freighter Captain felt a smile form as she took in the situation laid out infront of her. It seemed that someone wasn't very happy to have ended up bed bound.

Lirha rolled back over as she heard a voice talking to her from the doorway. Where the annoying nurse once stood, now was a dark-haired Human woman. The Orion focused her eyes, blinking and taking in her appearance. Her hair was curly and her features were...beautiful, to say the least. Yet her voice was strong and firm, the type that came from someone who was in charge of something. She wasn't dressed in any medical robes either, and Lirha's curiosity peaked. "Who are you?" she asked, still frustrated by her predicament.

"Well now my dear Captain, you'd think you'd at least recognise the voice of your knight in shining armour...not that I could call that bucket of bolts shining anyway." Looking over her shoulder, Jersa took the cloak from around her body as she established that the hall was clear before holding it out on one finger. Lirha could now see the body underneath, encased in leather trousers and a shirt which tied in a knot over the woman's abdomen. "If you hurry we can add another rescue to the growing pile."

It took Lirha a while to process the woman's words, after which she promptly identified her as Jesra Moore, the freighter captain who had towed Galileo to Vega Colony. "Captain Moore?" she asked somewhat incredulously, wondering how the fellow captain had managed to find her at the hospital facility. "How..." her voice trailed off softly as she rubbed her forehead with a bit of confusion. A closer look at Jesra revealed her taut and curvy frame, causing Lirha to stare for a few moments before collecting herself. "How did you find me?" she finally managed to ask.

Grinning Jesra stepped further in the door as a twinkle entered her eye. "Brains aswell as beauty, I can see how that ship managed to land in one piece with a woman of your calibre at the helm. Now...we gonna do rescue first, talk later or do you fancy being stuck here for the night mi'lady."

Despite her frustration with the colony's medical staff, Lirha couldn't help but blush slightly at Jesra's mannerisms. Slowly pushing herself up on her elbows, Lirha swung her feet over the side of the bed as she kept an eye on the freighter captain. "How do you plan to get me out of here?" she asked, wondering what sort of plan and/or connections the civilian captain had.

Taking Lirha's hand, Jersa helped the Orion to her feet, watching to ensure she could balance before wrapping the cloak around the female's body, pulling the hood over her head. "I figure we'll just walk out. I'm afraid I left my lockpick in my other trousers otherwise I'd have come up with something more creative." With a wink, Jersa used her hand to push Lirha's hair back behind her ear. "Think you can walk?"

Lirha was quite enamored by the freighter captain's affections. Giving the taller woman a weak smile, she hugged the cloak close to her and tucked her head down while slipping her arm around Jesra's midriff for support. As she stood, she felt a wave of nausea overtake her, and she swallowed the wetness in her mouth in an attempt to keep from vomiting. Lirha closed her eyes and breathed heavily for a moment before looking back up at the fellow captain. "Yes...I think I'm fine." she answered with a whisper, grateful for the help. "Lead the way."

Placing her finger under the CO's chin, Jersa tilted her head back in order to look into her eyes for a moment, it was as of she was looking for something in the depths of Lirha's emerald eyes before letting go and smiling. Taking the woman's weight she lead their way to the turbolift, making their embrace look casual. Each person she passed, she just fluttered her eyes and gave a little wink, enabling that no one gave a second thought to the woman at her side. As the turbolift doors closed behind them, the freighter Captain tugged the hood back slightly. "Still with me sweetheart?"

"Yes..." Lirha replied softly, still feeling groggy. Thankfully, Jesra had been suave enough to get them through the hospital's security and all the way to the lift, and Lirha wondered what the woman's plans were for her. "Are you taking me back to my ship?" she asked, tightening her grip on her back.

Winking as she tightened her own hand on Lirha's far waist, Jesra playfully tugged the good captain's hood back down as the turbolift doors opened. "It's a surprise. You've obviously been excused from duty until tomorrow, even if it was on the premise of being under medical care. Your crew won't miss you for one night." Guiding the CO through the doors, they almost made it before the women heard a roar.

"Moore!!! Get back here now!"

Not even needing to turn, Jesra moved Lirha over to a desk so she had support. "Stay here a sec mi'lady. I've got me a dragon to slay."

Flicking her hair over one shoulder, Jesra wet her lips before turning on her heel. "Johnny...you never call anymore, your breaking my heart baby."

Looking flustered, Johnny skidded to a stop infront of the woman he'd been searching for. "Where is she Jersa. You know you can't just waltz in here and do as you like. She needs to stay with us."

Taking the lapels of the Doctors jacket, Jersa ran them through her fingers before trailing the back of a finger along his cheek. "Johnny...would you think I'd do something like that? Me...Your so suspecious of me just because that one time I may have forgotten a date, come on...I promised I'd make it up to you...let me have this one, you know she doesn't need to be here baby." Leaning in, the freight Captain whispered some words in the Doctor's ear.

Coughing to clear his throat, Johnny took a shaky step back as he looked at the woman. "Wednesday at 8...keep the promise this time Jersa or I'll pull the tapes and get you pulled on this." Holding out a PADD he held back the smile until Jersa had taken it and turned away. Shaking his head, he walked off wondering why she went out of her way.

Spinning back around, Jersa tucked the PADD into the belt of her trousers. "Right beautiful...home straight from here. You still holding up ok."

"Yes." the Orion captain answered, somewhat curious as to what had just transpired. "What was that about?" she asked, flicking her eyes towards the man who had just walked away.

Guiding Lirha gently, Jersa stopped at a hover bike she'd parked at the front. Lifting the Orion gently, she sat the woman side saddle before climbing infront of her. "Don't worry about Johnny. Over protective Doctor syndrome, but we are all good. Now sweetheart...I'd suggest holding onto me, we don't have far to go. Just tap my side if you need me to stop."

Lirha had never been on a hover bike before and as she sat in the seat, she silently hoped she wouldn't get nauseous and vomit all over Jesra. "I'll try..." she answered with a bit of concern in her voice, then wrapped her arms tightly around the woman's waist. "Just...don't go too fast."

Using her finger, Jesra tilted the CO's head back slightly, "Just bury your head against me. The sensation won't effect you, looking around might. Ill see what I can do about speed though. Just remember, I didn't save that body and mind of yours just to end up killing you myself." With a wink, Jersa grabbed the controls as she started to maneuver into open space.

With a nervous sigh, Lirha leaned forward and closed her eyes as she pressed her cheek against Jesra's back. Hopefully 'home' wasn't far, because the captain didn't know how long she wanted to be on the back of the bike.

After a few minutes of a steady ride, Jersa pulled up infront of one of the houses in the residential district. Bringing the bike in, she looked back over her shoulder and smiled softly. "You still with me sweetheart?"

A wash of relief flooded over Lirha when the bike stopped, and she gingerly released her grip on Jesra and climbed off the craft. The Orion stifled a yawn with the back of her hand and looked at the other captain with sleepy eyes, simply nodding in reply. She was more tired than she originally thought, and perhaps it might have been a good idea to just stay in the hospital. They were doctors, after all, and though she had no reason not to trust Jesra, she was beginning to second-guess this adventure. "Is this your house?" she asked quietly as she looked around.

"Yup...and it looks like my bed is already calling out to you." Placing her hand against Lirha's back, Jesra guided her to the door. Pressing her hand against a hidden PADD, the door opened up to grant them entrance. "It's small and bare but it works when I need a place to put my head to a bed on the ground. Walk down the corridor, second door on the left. If you want a night shirt or something check the drawers. My body is abit more curvy then yours so anything should fit."

Lirha let herself be taken into the house, and many of her worries subsided as she stepped into the living room. As Jesra had pointed out, the house was a bit bare and lacking many luxuries, but it was cozy and comfortable, to say the least. And the offer of fresh clothes and a bed to sleep in was exactly what Lirha needed. Looking over Jesra's frame, she was indeed curvy in all the right areas, a trait which Lirha found incredibly attractive. She gave the woman a small yet appreciative smile then gently squeezed her arm. "Thank you, Jesra. I think I need a shower before I do anything else." she said as she wandered down the corridor in search of the bathroom.

It didn't take long before she found the sonic shower, and she hastily stripped off her grungy Starfleet uniform and underwear then stepped into bath. With a tap of her green fingers on the shower's console, rythmatic pulses from the machine began to vibrate across her skin, cleaning away all of the dirt and grime which was on her. Lirha closed her eyes and slumped down to the floor, curling herself against the wall as she enjoyed the pleasant sensation of the shower. Her concentration drifted away, and her breathing slowed as she inadvertently fell asleep on the floor.

Having heard noises from the shower area, Jersa left the plate and cup she carried on the bedside table. Moving across to her shower area she smiled at the sight that greeted her from beyond. Moving to grab a blanket, she wrapped it around the woman's form before lifting Lirha easily into her arms. Moving, she made away across to the bed, easing down the resting form.

A strange feeling of weightlessness caused Lirha to slowly open her eyes and she slowly realized she was being carried across the room. She quickly found herself being placed down on the bed with a blanket around her, and she blinked several times as she looked up at Jesra. "I'm sorry...I think I was more fatigued than I had realized." she said quietly as she rolled onto her back in the middle of the bed and adjusted herself into a more comfortable position. "Are you usually this accommodating to new people?" she asked with a small smile, wondering what Jesra's intentions were.

"You sure do like asking alot of questions, did you ever realise that?" To give her her privacy, Jersa moved across to settle herself in a chair in the corner. "How about you get some sleep, build your energy and you can ask more in the morning..."

Lirha slowly shook her head, denying the request. If she hadn't been mercifully tortured for several days during the previous week, she probably would have happily agreed to get some rest. But as it was, she wanted to know exactly why she was now with Jesra, and if the woman had any sort of hidden agenda. For all she knew, she could wake up in the morning aboard a slave trading ship as a commodity, and the thought of the unknown brought some tension which needed to be sorted out before she went to sleep. "Please answer my question." she said politely yet firmly, keeping her gaze on the fellow captain who had moved to the corner of the room.

Smiling as she heard an almost bite in Lirha's voice, Jesra pulled her legs under her as she rested her elbow on the arm of the chair and rested her cheek against the palm. "Well...it hadn't been my intent to bring you here, generally I like to get to know a woman better before putting her in my bed. I'd dropped by to check on you. Your landing was quite spectacular to us watching. I wanted to ensure you were ok."

"Well...if that's the case, then I am very appreciative." Lirha responded as she snuggled her head into one of the many plush pillows on the bed. She didn't get the impression that Jesra was a threat; more so, she wanted to be carefully sure that she wasn't in any jeopardy. "I trust you will be here in the morning? I have to return to my ship rather early..." she said as she yawned and began to close her eyes.

Watching the woman, Jesra raised from her chair, grabbing a spare blanket from her drawers, she placed it over the Orion's body. Softening her voice, she watched her for a moment. "If I'm not here Ill be somewhere in the house. Let me worry about your wake up, you just worry about resting."

"Very well." Lirha murmured, too tired to ask anymore questions. "Thank you, Jesra." she added before she quickly fell asleep underneath the blankets.

Waiting until she heard the woman's breathing soften, Jersa moved back across to her chair. Taking the PADD, she settled in for a long night as she pulled her legs in under her, sinking back into the cushioning.
