Amril started down the corridor at a brisk pace beside the security officer, leaving the brig behind. He stopped a moment later though and looked down the branch in their path. "Ah, I think you had best lead the way, ensign."

Aria nodded as she motioned for him to follow her. "You get used to the layout," she said and looked at him, holding his eyes briefly before looking ahead. "So... you okay?"

"Oh, quite, quite," Amril said with a reassuring smile. "I must say your concern for my well being is not only appreciated, but impressive, considering the distaste your people clearly still hold for the Dominion."

She looked at him before shrugging weakly. "I'm too young to have participated in the war. And... well. My father always said soldiers were soldiers. I never really knew what he meant, but the war is over... maybe people need to remember that. And we won. So... yeah. Life goes on for those left."

"Hm, yes, I suppose your father is a wise man." Giving a nod, the vorta walked on in silence for a time, then seemed to suddenly think of something. "Oh, I have heard that your computers talk, is that true? I'd be delighted to see this for myself."

"Well, you can ask her things. She can be a right bitch though, especially since everything will classified for you. But you can play music if you ask her for some. I am afraid that apart from the replicator, we can't grant you computer access. Just the standard procedure," Aria said and moved to the secure quarters, using her security code before entering. "Here we go... will this do?" she looked at him, searching his eyes.

"Very nicely," Amril declared, stepping inside and looking around as if it were a presidential suit at Earth's finest hotel. "Now, where's this computer? Music and food are more than enough to demonstrate how it works, yes?" He looked around, not recognizing the replicator for what it was.

She watched him before moving to the replicator. "It works like this... you say what you want and it shows up. The computer is the ship. You activate her like this..." she smiled and looked up. "Computer, play music. Earth jazz, 20th Century." She smiled as the music started and met his eyes. "Not too bad is it?"

"Ah, absolutely delightful," Amril declared as he listened to the music. "May I try? You said it brings food? Send up some q'lava, please, computer?" When no reply came, he glanced at Aria. "I suppose she wouldn't know anything about vorta food, would she? Am I doing it wrong?"

Aria smiled gently, shaking her head. "You need to be a bit more mechanical..." she said and frowned. "I don't think we have Vorta food but... computer, chicken curry, hot." She smiled as it appeared before them.

Amril's eyes shifted to the replicator as the food appeared. "Ah, I see how it works," he said.

"Now... you'll need some clothes as well. I doubt you packed anything."

"I'm afraid not but is there anything wrong with this?" the vorta asked, gesturing to his suit with its black and purple patterns. "Oh, do I get to where a Starfleet uniform?"

"No... don't think that is a good idea. But why would you want to wear something that boring?" she smiled and shook her head. "You can wear something really cool as well. Jeans, cool tee shirts... you name it. Or something a bit more out there..."

"I've never heard of any of these clothes."

She smiled and brought up some pictures. "See? Just... stuff to wear, yeah?"

"Ah," Amril said, viewing them, "I would not know what's fashionable, vorta lack a sense of aesthetics, you know. But I would prefer something more formal."

She nodded and got his scan up, to get his measurements. She went for black trousers and a collarless shirt, as well as a jacket. Betazoid style, of course, because they had very good cuts, but more subdued colours than she'd pick for herself. "Here... this might do?"

"Very nicely, I'm sure," Amril said to her.

She nodded and folded the clothes, placing them down. "You should get yourself something to eat."

"By all means," Amril agreed. "What would you suggest?"

She looked at him before shaking her head. "Dude, I am a pepperoni pizza kinda girl. Not sure it will work for you. What sort of food do you usually eat? Spicy? Delicate? Sweet? Sour? Protein or fiber or carbs?"

"Vorta do not have much of a sense of taste," he told her with a smile, "I do enjoy tulaberries though... do you have anything like that? Or kava nuts perhaps?"

She looked at him for a moment before smiling gently. "Okay... err... nut roast maybe?" she considered it before getting him some. Nut roast, roasted vegetables, yorkshire pudding and onion gravy. She laid the table for them before getting herself two slices of pepperoni pizza. Problem with being human... she only really knew human food. "There... and what do you drink?"

Amril's pale violet eyes lifted from the food she set out and rested on her features. "Oh, water, usually."

She nodded and got them both some water, sitting down. "I hope that's okay..."

"Oh, yes, quite." He sat down as well and studied the food. "Well, I suppose I shall try this first." He reached for the roast and picked up a fork and knife. "I am not particularly familiar with human utensils," Amril admitted with a smile, holding up his fork with a piece of meat on it, spinning it around slowly in his fingers. "Quite ingenious really."

She smiled gently at that, nodding as she took her slice, biting into it as she winked. He needed to settle. She understood that. Hopefully a square meal and a good night's rest would help him.
