Braxton had set up a full day of one on one with his staff. He was very much looking to meet the bunch. He'd read the files but tended to rely on these intro conversations to tell him what he wanted to know. He'd met Marika....the girl really shocked him....now he wanted to meet Crewman Apprentice Sigrid Thelin. He'd seen her file but he had a few questions for her.

Sigrid moved gracefully into the CSO's office in a flutter of blond curls. She looked the man over as if she could glean whatever she needed to know about him based simply on his appearance. When in reality she was admiring his complexion and his hair. She wondered briefly if he cut it himself or had crew members do it. She thought it was best to save that question for later. "Hello there, Lietuenant!" She crinkled her cheeks into a large smile that made the hazel flecks in her widely spaced green eyes sparkle.

Braxton smiled. Another one like the archaeologist. "Well Ms. Thelin please have a seat. Can I get you something to drink?" He asked smiling. He was glad to have two officers that were so enthusiastic...granted he hadn't met everyone yet but two so far was great.

"Not unless it has whiskey in it," she guffawed loudly. She sat with a plunk into one of the chairs and tucked one of her legs up under her. "I'm kidding of course. On duty and all that. Have you been on the ship long? I don't remember when all the new crew arrived," she smiled but then her face lit up as she remembered to add, "Oh! And the rumours you might have heard about me are totally exaggerated."

Braxton smiled. "Really...what rumours do you think I heard?" he asked. His usual issues with women were not an issue here because when he was at work he was at work. Outside of work was where the social issues started.

"Oooh, no." Sigrid wagged a finger at the man. "You ain't tricking me into divulging my secrets that easily," she gave the man a sly grin before changing the subject. "I will tell you that I'm a hard worker, and that loooove being here. And it's so nice to meet a new face."

He smiled. "Well thank you I appreciate your enthusiasm. Now I understand you sort of work on many things at once and move around is that correct?"

"I'm the department bit-- I mean, the department crewman. I've taken a few classes on sensor operations so tend to be assigned there. I really like working in astrometrics though. Even after my accident. It's strange, but I'm not sure why so many people keep asking me if 'I'm okay'. Because I am. I love working there, when I'm assigned. Which seems less these days. But that's okay! I don't like to complain. Though I suppose it sorta sounds like I'm complaining now. Which I'm not." Sigrid smiled.

He smiled. "Okay well there are a few things that we need to examine there. First tell me about the accident and why you think it's caused you to be assigned to astrometrics less."

"After the Nimbus exercise with the Klingons we investigated a spatial phenomenon that, get this, ended up pulling us through a portal or vortex or wormhole thing...I dunno there's still debate on what to call it. Anyway, we go in right? And the ship is like shaking, things are coming off the ceiling. And then we're like ordered to strap into the emergency seats right? But then I was like, wait..." Sigrid paused for dramatic effect, "If everyone's strapped in, who's using the astrometric sensors to gather data of the vortex from the inside? Seems like that could be really useful information to have if we don't all die when we get to the other side. So I unstrapped and manned the sensor equipment and saved the data. I mean so, okay, during the process I got skewered by a shard of metal. Aaand yes...Coleman had to float me to sickbay -- we didn't have any gravity so that was okay. Doubt that old lady could drag me to sickbay with gravity intact, so yeah! It worked out in the end. I think people think I'm like traumatized by it or something. That's probably why I'm not in astrometrics as much, but really. I'm fine. I'm not traumatized by it, it was what it was and I'm not dead." Sigrid finally took a breath after unleashing the story on Braxton.

His eyes threatened to bug out of his head. "Okay... well that's a lot of story." He took a moment. "I can see if from both sides. Have you spoken to a counselor about the incident at all?" He hoped she had.

"Yup, a post-trauma one. And then a post-surgical one. Then...there was the check up after the follow up which was I think before the 'cleared for duty' one." Sigrid winked, "Like I said, I'm fine." She chuckled and began bouncing her foot as if listening to music.

Braxton wondered if the woman had ADHD. He smiled and shook his head. "Okay. So ... do you have any questions for me?" He asked before he went into expectations and other regs.

"Who does your hair?" She asked almost immediately.

Braxton laughed. "I usually just get up looking perfect so I just mess it up and bang, hair style done." He chuckled. "You remind me of my little sister." He said with a smile.

Sigrid ruffled her nose as if that was not the answer she was looking for. She flipped her curls over her shoulder and scooted forward on her chair. She lifted her index fingers in the air and touched her thumbs together to look at Braxton through the 'camera lens' she created with a squinted eye. "You need to see me on Sunday in the holodeck. I run a spa."

He smiled shaking his head. "Nope. By all means. Sundays are yours. I guess we're done here." He was still smiling after Sigrid left.
