Oh, my! For the last few moments or ten the chair-bound Tuula Voutilainen had been watching her prey very closely, and boy was it making her all hot and bothered. The ocean blue skin. The steadily constant motion of grabbing and bringing food to his mouth that was fluid and seamless. It was the way he consumed that made her so flustered. Like he was making love to his food. Just what could he do to her? Well, there was obviously only one way to find out.

She stood up from her chair and walked over towards the magnificent Mott. Olsam Mott. Just feeling the name made her mouth water. Those vowels! And the way those two t's lashed out at the end. All she wanted to do was pounce! She moved in, slow and sly as a cunning fox, her prey none the wiser. The fool. He was too focused on his sausage and salami pizza pie with the anchovies swimming in the sauce when what he should have been thinking about were more carnal tastes and desires. She was sure she would fix that.

But then something strange happened. Veri, who had been sitting with Mott, began to approach Tuula. She wasn't there a moment ago. Maybe she was one of those shape changers? She must have been the chair! Maybe she was just walking by to take a seat with Abbey. The poor girl probably needed comforting what with those missing digits. Or maybe she was-

“Listen you! I've got a bone to pick with you!”

A bone to pick? But the chicken drumstick eating competition wasn't until tomorrow. Maybe she wanted a pre-showdown sparring match? Tuula was having none of that! “Look, I've been eating chicken nonstop all week! No more! You can wait until tomorrow!”

“What? Oh, right. You can't lucid dream. How silly of me to forget that,” Veri barked back in frustration. “Look. You're standing. And that stupid looking wrist watch of yours with the pink cat on it from the twenty-first century keeps changing its minutes. You're dreaming, girl!”

Tuula glanced down at her wrist; the watch was definitely not the spiked leather cuff which was her usual style. "No," she said, gritting her teeth. Even if it was a dream, it was all that everything she wanted. Olsam was here before her, hers for the taking. And her legs... she looked down in awe. She was walking.

Everything was so perfect. "He's mine," said Tuula, wrapping her arms around Olsam and kissing him on the cheek. "You stay away from my my man," she added, grabbing a scalpel from the place setting at the table and waving it menacingly. "Everything is so perfect; I won't have you ruin it."

“What,” the dream-Veri exclaimed. “No, none of this is yours and aside from the skewed perception of the dream state we might only have minutes to spare. You're going to wake up in your bed with the blue boy being nothing more than a desire unattained. No. Right now we talk! I'm real. I need you.”

"Well, I need my blue cuddle monster," replied Tuula, ignoring Veri and focusing on the object of her desire. Wrapping her arms around Olsam, she practically forced herself upon him, taking him all for herself.

A moment later, she looked up. "Oh, you're still here," she said, breaking eye contact with Olsam and looking up at the Deltan. She turned back towards Mott. "Olsam, why don't we go back to my quarters and make ourselves more comfortable? Or uncomfortable, if that's what you would prefer," she added, a mischevious look in her eye.

This was not going as quite as well as the manifestation of the voice Tuula had been hearing had hoped. And now Tuula was lucid. She was turning the scene away from something productive toward conversation and more towards something... else. "Great! Just great! But I hope you don't mind me watching because I'm not leaving! I wont let you shut me out again!"

"This is my fantasy," replied Tuula, grabbing a chain attached to a leather collar which had mysteriously appeared around Olsam's neck. "Get out of my head; I won't let you ruin it!" Storming off, Tuula dragged Mott along towards the exit of the mess hall.

But as the doors opened, Tuula and Olsam were engulfed in a bright light. A swirling portal, identical to the one which had brought the Galileo to the mirror universe, filled the corridor, pulling them in. Unable to react quickly enough, Olsam was knocked off his feet and found himself being dragged towards the portal.

"No!" shouted Tuule, diving for his leash. With one hand, she grabbed onto his leash in the nick of time and with the other, she held on tightly to a handrail. "Olsam!" she shouted.

Suffocating, Olsam began to turn an even deeper shade of blue. "Tuula...." he managed to utter as he desperately scrambled for something to grab onto. "I... love... ham..."

A tear came to Tuula's eye as she looked back at Mott, then forward, for something, anything, she could use to save him. But it was no use; all she saw was Veri with a wicked grin on her face and an unnatural glint in her eyes.

The Veri-looking figure seemed to walk over to the handrail with ease, as though it were not completely effected by the dream-state around the two of them. As though it was almost a mind of its own, more in control than the mind the two of them currently occupied. She looked at the gripped handrail and then looked into Tuula's eyes. “I tried to talk to you, but it seems the waking world calls for you. How I miss it so. Maybe next time we can talk more, K?”

The unaffected figure reached over and held Tuula's grasping hand firmly as she leaned in closer to her. “Oh, and you can call me Lucinda. See you soon!” And with that she pried Tuula's fingers off of the bar she was holding, sending her spiraling towards the vortex. Everything turned fuzzy purple-pink in feeling and then a second later she awoke in her bed, sheets grasped tightly in her hands.
