Mission: Episode 06 - Legend of Souls
Location: USS Galileo - Deck 3, Sickbay
Timeline: MD 09 - 1745

ON:

Abbey felt like she had been fighting ten rounds with a Klingon, thrown into a shuttle without any dampeners and materialized inside out. Opening her eyes her eyes burnt as the bright lights pierced her iris' "Ouch" She said. She could taste dry tears on her lips that were now parched and salty. "Where - am - i" She asked trying to shield the light from her eyes but finding her hand had something sticking out of them.

"You're in sickbay," answered Tuula, removing her bloody gloves and waving a nurse over to assist the patient with anything she may require. "Be careful with that IV, you don't want to pull that out; that's your morphine." She looked down at Abbey's body, her torso all wrapped up in a back brace, restricting her movement. She knew that Abbey would react badly upon realizing it so she decided to tell her up front. "Abbey, I've reconstructed most of the bone structure in your spine, but we haven't been able to repair any nerve damage yet. I've placed you in a back brace to assist with your healing and prevent you from aggravating your injury. Don't worry, the brace is just temporary," she added, smiling at Abbey in the hope that between her smile and the amount of morphine in her system, she might not freak out like before.

Abbey could sense that something foreign was attached to her back, it felt heavy and uncomfortable the thought alone scared her. Reaching across with her free hand she placed it inaccurately and began pulling on the tube until it gave way and began dripping liquid onto the floor. Clumsily she rolled of the bed her legs aching and the pain shooting from her hand as blood had started to pour out of the wound. She had to get out of here, away from the doctors and away from everyone. She had only made it so far from adrenaline, knocking over a side table of tools barging past nurse's trying to stop her, her own strength surprising her. Throwing herself against the door exhausted from the expenditure of movement she smashed at the control console falling through and into the corridor.

Unable to restrain the patient herself, Tuula hastily prepared a sedative. "Lina," she called out, tossing the hypo towards the nurse who was trying to stop Abbey from escaping.

Lina caught it neatly, moving quickly to Abbey. She pressed it against her neck and caught her, almost maternally, easing down with her so that she would not be more hurt than she already was. "Hush...it is okay, we have you..."

With Abbey unconscious, Tuula shook her head. She couldn't risk Abbey hurting herself again, and the young woman had given her no choice. "Get her back on the bed," she instructed the nurses. "And prepare some restraints."
