Mission: Episode 06 - Legend of Souls
Location: USS Galileo, Deck 7, Callisto Bar
Timeline: MD07 - 22:40

ON:

Aria Rice smiled as she looked around the bar, taking a deeper breath. Okay. Here she was. Here she was again and it looked and smelled the same. She bit her lip with excitement, looking around as she made her way to the bar. She leant over the counter, her eyes shining. "Vodka. Shot of it. Would be pretty awesome..." she arched an eyebrow, clearly teasing and playful. She smiled when the shot was poured and clapped. "It's like Christmas!"

"If that is your Christmas, I might suddenly like your house," Amynta Markos said dryly where she sat at the bar, next where Rice had squeezed her teeny tiny waist. She had to admit, she knew who Rice was. Little, loud, well coloured firecracker. The sort of energy that Amynta liked in small quantities. Very small. "Welcome back, Rice. We missed you."

Aria stopped, the shot halfway between her mouth and the bar as she turned her head to look at Markos. "Oh...oh!" she placed the shot down, with surprise. "Did you really?" she asked with surprise.

"No," Amynta said with an almost sweet smile before sipping her drink. "I didn't. I suspect others did."

Aria let out a breath, smiling as she picked up her drink again. "Glad you haven't changed. Worried for a moment you had and someone had given you a personality transplant. I don't think nice...." she knocked back the drink and moaned. "Mmm...I don't think nice and you would ever work together. So how has it been? What's the gossip?"

"Who says I have any gossip? Or would share it?" Amynta countered, arching an eyebrow as she watched Rice. What she liked about Rice was that she didn't take things too much to heart. Not that she had ever spoken more than five words to the woman, but her circumstances interested Amynta. Not often someone got transferred back to a ship. Especially not in this manner. "I heard the Commodore pulled some strings."

"She pulls them good..." Aria said lightly, motioning for another drink. "Should let her try yours."

"Would hate to ruin a good engagement," Amynta chuckled, taking her mirror from her purse, to check her lipstick. "I am surprised you aren't tucked into bed."

"Because I am what? A child?" Aria asked as she looked at the other woman, taking in her outfit. Aria had gone for a short skirt, thick tights, high heeled boots and a corseted top, with a mesh bolero and fingerlength gloves with stripes and skulls on. So she guessed she looked a little bit teenager compared to Amynta.

"You are the size of one," Amynta closed the mirror and put it back, studying her. She herself wore a black pencil skirt and a lavender blouse. And yes, the shoes matched the blouse. "But I meant more with the time and the meetings you must have faced."

"Ah...that..." she nodded to Amynta, shrugging. "I suppose I just wanted to feel the life here, you know? It...just needs it. I need it."

"Rice, don't spill your guts. I do not like it when people do," Amynta sipped her drink and swallowed before she shook her head with a frown. "And I don't think you want to tell people much anyway. Secrets are good."

"Says the Intelligence Officer," Aria rolled her eyes, nodding weakly. "That's...sound advice. Thank you."

Amynta smiled as she looked at her, taking a breath. "I wasn't after your thanks either," she said and finished her drink. "You should go to bed, Rice."

"I wish I could," Aria confessed before shrugging. "Thanks anyway, Markos. You can be a right cow, but sometimes you are actually okay."

"Don't let the rumor spread," Amynta warned before standing, moving past her. "And don't think this makes us friends either," she finished before leaving.

Aria watched her go with a small grin, chuckling as she looked at the poor man behind the bar. "So. What did I miss?" she asked, casually pushing a tribble from the bar counter.
