Location: USS Galileo - Deck 3, Security office
Timeline: MD 08 - 0820 hrs

Luke hadn't been doing so well in his officer training but the time had come to take the seat Rhodes was busy else where and the next most experienced person was him. Sitting at the desk he shifted position after position but was always uncomfortable finally giving up he stood and walked to the replicater as his door chime rang. Thinking hard he couldn't remember having anything planned. "Enter" he said waiting to place his order.

Aria Rice walked easily into the office, her hair tied back from her face but still showing streaks of red. She looked at Luke with surprise at seeing him there, but then again...she didn't really care who ran the department. "Hello, Sir," she said, deciding that was the easiest approach. "Ensign Rice reporting."

Luke looked to aria and then to the replicater he wasn't sure if this was a joke or if ensign rice had actually returned to the Galileo "I had caught wind of someone returning to the ship I'm glad it's you" he smiled. "Something to eat or drink? I imagine we have a bit to catch up on"

"I'm okay," she said as she met his eyes, shrugging. "Had loads to eat and drink before."

Luke regretting the question ordered himself a simple glasnost water before moving to his desk "Well then..." The silence that followed was awkward atleast to him "It's good to see you back" he finally said.

"Good," se said and nodded, watching him. "Looks like things have changed a bit since last time for all of us. I'm cool with it if you are, Sir."

Luke raised his arm "There's no need to call me sir your a higher ranking officer and quiet frankly I might be a bit out of my league so were just fine besides whatever happened happened lets just use this point from here as a start? How was you're little trip away anyway?" He asked changing the conversation quickly.

"Fine. New ship, lost half my department and got demoted to Ensign. How was the Galileo?" Aria said, arching an eyebrow with a small smile. Yeah, few could beat the circus she had been playing with.

Luke swallowed hard "Weeeeeell, were over run with tribbles?" He countered feeling somewhat awkward "You've still got your pleasant charm I see" Luke added not really sure what to say after that "I mean you have a lovely charm..." Just stop talking Luke he thought to himself.

Aria let out a breath, shaking her head. "Just tell me what to shoot and I will shoot it. Or arrest it. Or get it cleaned. Or sobered up. It's what I am here for. Normal, ensign Security. Comes with charm and attitude...if required," she said and shrugged, with a weak smile. "I'm not in charge of anything. Just the way it should be."

"Aria I'm not sure what exactly happened but you'll always be my superior not in rank but in knowledge of the secuirty field besides you still owe me that drink and rematch and until then I can't sleep at night" Luke was trying his best to raise the woman's morale.

"Trust me...you know more than I do," Aria said lightly, rocking on her feet. "So...anything I should file? Do we file tribbles away or just shoot them?"

Luke lent forward "Aria you're not the same person that left the Galileo a few months or so ago, quiet frankly I want the old one back and don't say she's gone or you're the same becuase you're not I liked the old aria she was fiesty and to be honest I liked you a lot, well until you threw me into the brig and maybe even a little bit then!"

Aria looked at him before chuckling. "You don't know me. You've barely met me before I left and I have been back five minutes. So less of the psych crap, Sir, and more of actual work? We cool with it?" she asked with an easy smile.

Shaking his head "Well I guess for the moment we can do, there's nothing that immediately needs attention but when you have the time the arms locker is due it weekly Maintence check" he pointed out.

"I'll get on that," she said with a weak nod. "Thanks, Sir. I'll start it right away."

"Oh and aria" luke looked up from his desk.

Aria met his eyes, giving him an easy smile. "Yeah, Sir?" she asked lightly.

"It's luke, please for the love of all that is holy don't call me sir" he smiled, Luke was glad to have some like her back on the team even if she felt that she was no good and didn't hold the knowledge.

"Alright, boss!" she said, her eyes shining. "I'll call you boss or Wyatt or something like that instead. Just to make sure you don't take out payback on my sweet arse by throwing me into the brig..." she winked.
