Either Asahi had a 'natural Trill magnetism,' or the Galileo did. Hopefully it was the latter, as the engineer had no desire to attract anyone to his general person, regardless of the intention. At least Trills were good-natured, or all the Trill he had met seemed to be.

At least he knew this Trill by name. Alexander Iella had been one that he had previously encountered. He knew the man to have engineering experience, which would have made handing the bar off to him all that much easier. As much as Asahi had a near-protective stance the bar's overall construction, he was happy to not have to worry about it nearly as much.

Asahi had no doubt that the other bar head involved was extremely skilled in her line of work. Without having met Sigrid, however, he had no idea whether the woman had any experience in the more technical aspects of the bar or not, and it wouldn't have been fair to assume she did. It probably likewise wasn't as fair to assume she didn't, which left the engineer waffling back and forth in his decision making. Thankfully, knowing that Iella had the experience set his worries and his waffling to a slow trickle.

He sent the Trill a message the moment he discovered Iella had returned to the ship, requesting they have a talk about the current set-up of the bar's energy sources. It wasn't complicated, and he suspected Iella would have easily understood general specifications sent to him, but Asahi wanted to speak with him personally. The whole bar installation project had made him unintentionally polite all over, he wanted to avoid that as much as possible.

The engineer sat himself up at the bar itself, pair of PADDs in hand, as he waited for the other to arrive.

"I would have thought you would be relaxing, even a little, now that all the refits and stuff are done." Alex commented as he entered the room from the kitchen, wringing his hands with a cloth. He was already in his chef's outfit, having been there for a few hours already getting to know all the dishes.

Asahi rose a brow, for once not jumping out of his uniform from another's entrance. "Everything's done... thankfully, but, the work itself? Engineer's work is never done." He shrugged, giving Alex a wink. "Relaxation's a state of mind I'm not used to anyway. Have we formally met? I think the last time we saw each other, the ship was in an alert and there were Borg involved."

"No, I dont think we have." Alex said as he threw his rag over his shoulder and stuck out his hand, "Alexander Iella. I do recall many blaring alarms and some weapons fire."

"Add one big cube and a bunch of giant worker bees with no personality, and I think that's the last time we've seen each other." Leaning over, the tiny engineer grinned. "Asahi Kita. It's nice to finally get a chance to meet you now that the red alerts aren't spiraling about our heads. Have you gotten a chance to look around yet?"

"Yes actually. I've been playing with the equipment in the back. It's some pretty good stuff, all installed correctly as well." Alex said with a smile, "Other then that though, I havent really gotten to take a good look at the guts of the place, or much of the front shop stuff."

"I'd hope so. There were some pretty good men and women working on that over shore leave." A proud smile played at Asahi's lips as he continued on. "The whole thing has a pretty cohesive set-up. All run on alternate power supplies so that it doesn't interfere too much with the ship's main power processors, on request by Ops." He nodded, sliding one of the PADDs forward. "Everything technical should be in there, if you wanted to take a look."

Alex took the PADD and scanned the first little bit of data. It was certainly impressive, "Alternate Power supply? Soo essentially batteries then." Alex commented, "I would have helped with the install and all, but I had some personal issues I had to deal with back on Trill."

"Batteries meant to keep the power supply design simplistic. The warrant officer who thought the idea up had a better explanation of it than I do." Asahi nodded in agreement, brushing a hand through his hair. "It happens. Personal things come up. At least we're easy enough to find again, huh?"

"Not hard to find someone when they literally cross your path." Alex replied, "I was on a transport to meet Galileo at Deep Space Nine when you changed course, it was luck enough that we were going to pass within ten light minutes of each other that I just got them to change course a hair so I could get back."

"That's some good fortune." Asahi could have quite easily been a bobblehead with all this nodding he was doing. "Who knows how long you would have been waiting otherwise. I suppose us trekking to Lyshan III is a bit of a scenic route..."

"More than a bit of a scenic route." Alex replied with a laugh, "Almost a week out of the way. Whats up with that anyway?"

The engineer quirked a brow. "We got called off course. There's a mine on Lyshan III that's been having a few issues. Starfleet saw it fit to send a science ship down in that direction, and I guess we were the closest."

"Mines." Alex commented with a thoughtful look, "Hate those places, being underground is so restricting and unnatural." He dropped the PADD on the counter and let a sigh, "Right, anything special I need to know about the equipment, tricks, etc."

"They aren't exactly meant to be natural, which I suppose is part of the problem." Asahi shook his head with a disappointed sigh. "Practically drilling into the dirt to take out minerals that have been in embedded in that world for awhile. They're not the most reputable of places." He waved his hand dismissively. "There's not much those specs won't tell you. The power's nearly run all on it's own, so unless we need some back-up energy, the bar won't shut off unless we're under red alert. We were hoping to pick up some back up batteries from Deep Space Nine, but that may have to wait, unless I can convince Ops. It should run fine for awhile, but it's always good to have some back-ups."

"I'm sure I can jerry-rig something up for some backups if I needed to." Alex commented, "Alright thanks for all the work you guys did. Make sure the engineering crew comes in, first drink on the house for all the work they did."

Asahi gave a nod, wiggling in his seat. "I'll make sure they know, and don't hesitate to give us a call if there's something we can give you that you don't have on hand, or if we missed anything." He hopped from the stool, giving the other a tiny wave. "But I gotta get back to work. We're both gonna be pretty busy people soon, I bet."

"I would not take a fools bet Chief." Alex said with a smile, "Thanks again." He said as the man exited the bar.
