Luke didn't have to wonder what type lecture he was about to receive by his attending nurse, he'd always hated the medical bay but found himself more often than not sitting on one of its bio beds with a new injury. This time he had been working out in a sparring program and dislocated his shoulder throwing a mean right hook into the holographic Klingon. "Anyone around?" He asked as he walked into the medical bay. People were just starting to return to the ship so some departments were understaffed.

Allyndra had, it seemed just gotten biobed two fixed and today it was number three. It at least was not trying to tell her she was dead, but the readings were not consistent still with the others.
At least she figured she could get this one recalibrated properly and as someone shouted out she called back, "JUST A MOMENT!"

Extracting her head from the cavity she peered over the errant working bed and noticed the man holding his arm. "You hurt yourself?" She asked.

"As ever" He said holding his right arm close to his body with his left "I was just doing some training and well my opponent got the better of me. I think its dislocated" Luke replied shrugging, as he did he grimaced and let out a groan "I need to stop doing that"

Allyndra rose using the biobed. She straightened and then fluttered her wings slightly. "Sorry, it gets cramped trying to bend with these things. Now dislocated?"

She moved toward the man. "Come on, let's get you over to bed one here." She offered to help him to the bed. "Mind if I touch?"

"Yeah go right ahead" He said readying himself by tensing "It doesnt even hurt that bad" He lied giving a wry smile and a nod letting Allyndra know that he was ready. "It must be a valuable asset to have wing though right?" Luke asked curiously.

Allyndra helped her patient onto the biobed. "Well yes for our reproduction, but I must admit though they are a pain in the 'you know where' in cramped places, the freedom of the sky makes it all worthwhile. Now then," she started the scan. "Let's see what we have."

She watched a few moments and then nodded, "dislocated yes, some strained ligaments but nothing torn and no damage to the socket. Now," She reached and prepared, "for all the fancy medicine nothing still like the old fashion pop it back into place, ready?"

Nodding as he mentally prepared himself he tensed his entire body and waited for the doctor to pop his shoulder back into place. "Go ahead Doc"

Allyndra was quick and got the errant joint back into its proper place. "I will prescribe some analgesic for the residual pain." She turned and went to fetch a PaDD making a notation so that he could get a replicator to dispense the medication. As she was filling that out she asked, "If I may, this does not look from the scan like the first injury. So what where all the others?"

"There so many to tell but really its just broken bones, fractures and the odd dislocation here and there I am...Used to be a Marine we didn't tend to go to the doctor every time we got injured" He admitted "Besides time is the best medicine right?"

"A marine? Well that explains things. However, time heals all is not exactly right if things were not done right the first time." She pressed a hypo with an analgesic to relieve the current pain.

Allyndra then moved to take a seat on the bed. "Here," she said pulling the PaDD so he could see it. "You have developed adhesions, especially in the right shoulder. I am guessing they may be limiting your range of motion and may also be why this happened." She pointed to the scan on the PaDD that showed the areas, moving her finger to indicate what she was talking about.

Luke shook his head "Well when you show it like this it makes me wonder how I ever do something's, but I still agree that I'd rather break the pain barrier than succumb to it. Its how I was taught to deal with things"

"Well I show it so that you know why this is continuing. I know it is never a good time, but if you can schedule some time off I can take care of those and with some physical therapy give you close to your original range of motion."

"You know I would nothing more to have time of Doc but we've just come back from shore leave and I have a lot of work to do but if I find myself with some spare time then ill consider your generous offer" He flashed a grin as he stood himself up straight.

"Alright, I understand, but remember that you might just have to watch some of those movements or this will continue. However, what I can do is set up some physical therapy programmes on the holodeck. They should help some in the meantime and you can access them any time you need or have the time. Now take those pain meds as needed as well and hope the next time I see you in here will be to get you back into perfect shape, deal?"

Luke smiled "You my dear doctor have yourself a deal, is there anything else why I am about?" He asked standing up of the bed.

"You should be good to go, let me see," Allyndra rechecked the PaDD. "Your medical is up to date so nothing more on my end."

"Good seeing you Doc, Let hope you're not as busy as you was last mission" He flashed a small smile, the one you only mean as a comfort before slipping out of the door and towards the security department.
