Mission: Episode 01 - Project Sienna
Location: USS Galileo - Deck 7 - Main Engineering
Timeline: MD4: 1000 hours

Commander Remington walked into Main Engineering, nodding briefly to the engineers working nearby. His eyes scanned the room quickly until they lighted upon the chief engineer. He made his way quickly over to the man. Quinn was standing outside of his office going over a report from his longtime friend, Willis.

"Mr. Quinn," Will said, standing beside the man, "Do you have a moment?"

Quinn handed the PADD back to Willis and smiled as he offered a seat. "Sure Commander. Whats on your mind?" Quin asked as he took a seat of his own.

"I have a favor to ask of you."

"Of course. What's going on?"

"I'd appreciate it very much if Miss Peers didn't have a double shift tomorrow... if beta shift happened to be assigned to someone else, leaving her a free evening to herself? To do whatever she felt like..."

Quinn smiled broadly. "Hmmm....things are tight down here right now." he playfully scratched his beard. "Just kidding. Peers is a good catch Commander. You'd be crazy not to want to enjoy her company. She is like a daughter to me, already you know."

Will narrowed his eyes at Quinn. "I'm merely taking her on a trip to the holodeck, Mr. Quinn," he said in a dignified tone, "she's never been on one for recreational purposes. Catch indeed, she's not a fish, you know, and I am most definitely not fishing."

Quinn let out a laugh and slapped his leg. "Don't get excited Commander. I'm just joking with you. I'll see to it that she is off. I am also glad that you are showing her around some. She is a great girl though."

"Mm, yes, she's very sweet," Remington said noncommittally. "Well, I guess if you ever need a favor from ops you know who to contact."

"Yeah," replied Quinn. "I guess I do. Say, Commander. If you ever are in need of a computer specialist, I can always lend you Willis. I've worked with the kid for almost a decade now. He is the best Computer Engineer's Mate you'll ever find. Just a heads up."

"I will probably need to take you up on that offer at some point," Will replied. "How badly understaffed is engineering? Ops is stretched thin... we lose a person or two on a mission and we won't be able to function."

Quinn nodded as the statement from his Ops counterpart. "We aren't doing to bad really. I'd like a few more, sure, but we can manage for now. I don't mind doing some stuff for you too. I'm not Operations specialist, but I can jury rig just about anything on a temporary basis."

"I appreciate it," Will replied.

Quinn smiled and gave a nod. "Anytime Commander. Happy to help."
