Oliver nodded as he held his eyes, searching them for a long moment. "Please keep faith, Verity. Please?"

"I have my faith," Verity assured softly, smiling gently to him. "It...wobbled a few years ago, but I have it. I'm just not sure I'm doing the right thing with it."

And now, the conclusion...

[ON]

Oliver smiled gently, taking a breath as he reached for the bottle. "Want my honest opinion, even if you might not like it?"

"I always want you to be honest with me," Verity smiled, leaning close to him to get his lips on the bottle first, taking a large mouthful.

Oliver nodded as he watched him, letting him drink before taking a mouthful for himself. "You'd be wasted if you spent any more of your life as a Priest," he finally said. "You're too secular. And...and you'd do better work helping people just to help people, not because it was a duty placed on you by the Church. I think you'd never truly be happy as a Priest anymore, because there's so much love in you. And with it comes the need to be loved...truly loved, by a person...and you do good work here and, no matter what you are, you will continue to do good work for the rest of your life. A life you should lead properly."

Verity watched him with shock for several moments, silent as he licked his lips and absorbed the words, taking a shaking breath. "I was a priest for many years," he whispered.

Oliver nodded, taking another drink. "Yes...you were. And I think you found a lot of safety in it. But not happiness, not truly. And you're doubting now, your decision to leave the priesthood. Don't. I need you, Verity. We all need you, as you...not as Father Verity."

Verity let out a shaking breath, watching him with pain for a long moment. He leant forward to him, touching his jaw as he drew close to him. "Why do you need me?" he whispered.

Oliver held his eyes, swallowing as he searched his eyes. "Because you make me want to live," he whispered quietly. "Because you make me feel as if I am going to be alright in this life."

"You are," Verity whispered, holding his eyes, his face close to his as he ran his knuckle across his cheekbone. "You're going to be better than alright. You're something else. Something special and just stunningly handsome. You'll find someone like that too, in your league. You'll fall in love and know that's what life is about. And you will have a family. You will. And you will be a good father, because you know how important it is from not having one."

Oliver watched his face for a long moment, searching them before swallowing. "I..." he let out a breath, leaning into the touch. "Would you believe me if I said I think I have found someone, but I don't know if he is interested in me?"

Verity let out a soft breath before smiling gently, looking down, trying not to let his feelings at hearing that show on his face. "You never said anything. He would be mad if he wasn't."

Oliver watched him for a long moment, touching his cheek for a moment. "You think so?" he asked with hope.

"Of course," he said softly, not looking at him. "I told you. You're something special."

Oliver watched him for a long moment, searching his face before touching his chin. "So...you'd go out with me then?" he asked quietly.

Verity looked to him with surprise, holding his breath as he searched his features, trying to understand the question. "Me? You're way out of my league," he laughed softly.

Oliver frowned at the words, watching him closely. "No...no, you're...you're right for me," he said as he let out a breath. "Fancied you since we were made roomies."

Verity's breath caught and he licked his bottom lip. "You - actually mean me? Not - not questioning in theory?"

Oliver nodded as he smiled, touching his chin tenderly. "I mean you, Verity...so that is why I selfishly am glad you are no longer a priest. Means I can kiss you."

Verity breathed harder just at the suggestion, holding still as his skin heated and he searched his eyes. "Would you do it, Oliver?"

Oliver watched him before leaning close, gently sliding his hand to grip the back of his neck as he kissed him...not a light kiss, but a proper one, closing his eyes at finally being able to kiss him.

Verity pulled close at the feel of it, his eyes closing tightly as he kissed him back with need. He pushed his hand into his hair, gripping hard as a moan escaped into the kiss, his body pressing to Oliver's as he bit his lowerlip gently.

Oliver moaned as he deepened the kiss, taking over it now that Verity clearly returned the affections. He stroked over his hair, pulling him from his seat to sit in his lap.

Verity straddled his lap easily, gripping him with need to be close to him as he kissed him deeply. His hands raked hard up over Oliver's chest to feel the firm, defined lines of the athletic body he'd admired so much.

Oliver moaned as he broke the kiss, watching his face with awe as he touched his lips, gasping for breath. "You are so beautiful, Verity..."

Verity watched him with confusion, breathing hard as he caught hold of his hips. "I'm really not in comparison to you, you could be a model to the Ancient Greek sculptors...."

Oliver smiled as he stroked over his cheek. "I think you are...those lips, the beautiful eyes...how slender you are...how you look when you smile and when you frown...you are stunning."

Verity laughed, unable to help it, his body heated and buzzing from the closeness. "I'm stunning when I frown...?"

Oliver smiled as he nodded, touching his forehead. "Just...makes me want to hold you."

"The smoking hot devil-may-care look you have going is what makes me want to ~kiss~ you," Verity teased in return, smiling before kissing him with a sigh.

Oliver moaned as he kissed him back, stroking firmly up over his sides as he closed his eyes to just feel and learn him. "Such a beauty..."

"You make me want to be," Verity admitted, breathing harder as his fingers pulled at Oliver's shirt to get it off of him, tugging at it urgently with his need for him.
