It was my birthday today, I didn't expect anyone to know. While I was repairing the sensors this morning Kohl came to find me. He had a cake, message from the medical department and even a present from Doctor Dhuinn. It was lovely, I, it really means something to me. He is really nice to me, I want to do something for him, I just don't know what. I'd need to research his culture maybe, or I could maybe ask him. Yesterday I didn't know if anyone would ever want to spend some time with me, now, Kohl and everyone else, its amazing.

Ensign Rhodes walked into the astrophysics lab today when I was closing up, he asked me for a drink. He confuses me but maybe I understand him better now I've talked to Mor'an about it. I had breakfast with her yesterday and after Rhodes left she came to sit with me. Rhodes though, he was nice to me and asked me to do things with him. He collects weapons, so does Mor'an, he wanted to show me them, I said yes. He also, I shouldn't say this but he is attractive, for someone I don't know. I don't know the first thing about boys or relationships, I don't even know if he likes me, well I doubt that. Kohl has shown more evidence of that, maybe. It doesn't matter, I'm not ready for that sort of thing, its silly. I don't know what I want.

Anyway, I'm going to learn about weapons with Mor'an so I can talk to him when I visit, I was mostly useless in our first meeting. I also am going to try and collect plants for my quarters, as well as practice cooking with Mor'an. I really look forward to that, I love cooking with my mum, I hope she likes it. That is, assuming we don't all explode and we can escape this Nebula.

Overall it was a very nice birthday, but I miss home. I'm starting to make friends, and people seem to like me, I'm good at my job, I guess everything is working out well. I'll make another report tomorrow, so goodnight.
