“Begin Personal Log.”

“I have to admit that I an utterly exhausted by the, well what some would call ‘Physical Training’. I also admit that I am frustrated. Training means to building up or adding on, not pushing everyone to their own failures. I would never say this to anyone, even in confidence with a friend, but I really am not sure what the Commander’s intent was for todays, ahem, physical training.”

“Yes, I can see how, from time to time, it is actually necessary to push personnel to determine their personal limits, physically or mentally. Yet, I think it was uncalled for in this case by a new commanding officer. I feel that doing this first has set everyone on edge or leaving them with a very negative attitude toward her arrival. “

“Hmm, it’s almost as if she wanted some to fail. Hmmm, maybe she needed to know right then who she could physically count on, as if there was no time to find out in the next 10 days.”

“It’s not my place to judge nor complain. She definitely wasn’t out of bounds. I have to admit that every Commander has their own way. I hope to live that long to achieve such a rank. Maybe by then I will better understand why someone would find this approach necessary.”

“End Log.”
