" Computer, record personal log, keep original language and attach translation in Standard.

The ship which plucked me from the crumbling wreckage of my own, blinded and bleeding, is where the stone-roots of my career will now be set. The Word was given that here I will remain and serve, keeping us breathing and alive inside the ship's metal-shell.

Relief flooded my mouth like rain water in a drought, for a season's worth of days and nights have I sat in the bed I was given and not contributed. No stones were lifted, no desert-foe beaten and no food taken to the Matriarch's hut.

The tasks of my old ship kept my sand still, rather than raging like a storm. Thoughts, swift and cruel, throbbed in my head alongside my newfound scar. I keep this as the map of my life and even defeats must be recognised.

In Standard there is a word that we do not have. Boredom. It is a word I can't explain. It is waiting without a goal, without a task. Here, I experienced it.

I am not impressed.

My Matriarch told me Sand flowed in my veins, mixing with the Life Blood and always dancing, unable to will my Spirit still. Always moving, creating and destroying. I create and destroy at my tasks, rewiring, stripping, making, failing. It is the truest form of expression, poetry through energy and form.

Alas with nothing to fill my hands and thoughts, I started carving wood yet again. Many figures I have now, linked up, likenesses to those I see around me. I carved and shaped a prayer bowl, so my fallen comrades can go to Auris'a. In it I put the blood from my veins, a piece of the old ship and water. When I have a chance I will release it into the universe with the bowl, to guide.

If these are my last words, may my Matriarch take care of my clan and remember what I contributed in the blood.

Helliun of Inant Clan.

Computer, end log."
