Station Log, Stardate 69332.6

Regula I continues its study and observation of Remidia I. Recent planetary expedition teams report no new developments or worthwhile discoveries since my last log. It's a Class L marginal world so progress will take time. At this rate, much more time than anticipated barring a sudden breakthrough in local research. Administrator Frost has done a commendable job keeping the science teams on schedule despite our shortage of supplies. They remain engaged in their work and highly motivated in the face of the long days. I wish I could say the same for the Starfleet personnel. Several are exhibiting early symptoms of isolation fatigue due to the lack of stimulus. The monotony of the routine is taking a toll. Chipping away at them.

Lagrange's task group arrived four days ago - three months overdue because of their divert orders. Our station made due with what we had, and now our reserve and primary stores are almost replenished. Whoever reads this from Starfleet Operations...don't cut it so close next time. The hydrogen and fresh water tanks were dangerously low. If you want to establish an outpost here on the frontier then make sure your supply lines are solidified.

Earlier today I received notification of an unexpected situation developing in our area of operations. Plans are underway to immediately address it. I can't say more over this log. For now, our resupply task group is still undergoing R&R and finishing the last of their UNREP procedures. Personnel changeovers are almost complete but I don't envy their six month return to Earth. There has to be a better way. We'll continue to search for colony candidate worlds in the Pleiades Cluster, but if we don't find any, this might as well become a temporary endeavor to be abandoned in ten years.

Computer, end log
