Personal Log

Well, the time has finally arrived. I’ll be going aboard my new assigned Starship. It’s been many weeks since the initial interview. Since then, there have been a couple side missions that I’ve been assigned. They have been very interesting to say the least.

I just received notification to report to one of the shuttle hanger bays here on the station. I’m guessing that the shuttles need to be ferried over to the Galileo, where they will be secured for flight.

I haven’t been given my duty schedule aboard as yet, but that really doesn’t matter to me. I would be lying if I said that I didn’t care if I got the opportunity to Helm this new Starship or not. I am very much looking forward to that. However, for me . . at this moment . . I’m just excited to know that I’ll be working along side some very great officers.

Now, I won’t be telling them that, or anyone else for that matter. I’ve come to know several of the senior staff on the Galileo. I’ve learned so much already from them. And I have great confidence that this assignment and cruise will be one that I will look back upon as memorable.
