Personal Log 2

Time is...0328

Well, I can truthfully say that time here on Vega has gone much better than I had hoped.

The nightmares are less, ironically enough I'm awake because of them. I think a lot of it has to do with nerves though.

*coughI*

Out of every one, I have to say Lieutenant Pola Di...Nuhn? I think it's Nuhn. She's been a life saver. Sweet, funny, amazing...and she really knows her way around a dermal regenerator. My shoulder hasn't felt this good in months.

I've met the Commander, got to see the rest of the crew, and meet the rest of my department as well. It's a small group, closely knit, and something really got them hurt. Everyone is close lipped on it though.

Makes me think back...

*mouvement*

The Commander is solid, I have to say, she was personable and authorative at the same time. Hard to do. I also met Lieutenant Parker, seems like a bit of a hardass, but I can play nice. LT Rhodes is pretty solid too, I get along with him a bit better.

Pola is probably the cutest damned irish woman I've ever met. Only doctor that I've ever wanted to go back for a second appointment.

Who else....OH! My roomate who I've probably woken up three times now: James. Good guy, the way he goes on about his home planet, he should have applied to be a marine!

That being said, I'm wondering if they all are skeptic of my rank to age ratio. I'm a CWO, one of the youngest, but why should age matter. It's the experience they are looking for right? I don't question LT Rice because she's younger than I am. Nor am I more apt to follow an order from Davis who's older than I am.

Age is relative. Time in gets you ranks, that's true, but experience in the field and going above the call of duty is what I've always thought earned the stripes.

*sigh*

Oh well, I'll get used to it, I'm sure that they'll see that I earned my rank like they did. Who knows, maybe I'll get to show them next mission...

Let's just hope it doesn't get as bad as whatever happened last time. I transferred to get away from the bloodbath, not bathe in it.

Dr. Antioch was totally right, this logs help a lot. I think that the friends I'm making haven't hurt either.
