Cyrus couldn't believe it. His vision was blurring he was so mad, his massive fists were in a constant state of clenching and unclenching, shifting so fast that he had long forgotten what they were doing.

the report. He thought I have to file a report against this bastard. , but Cyrus was in no condition to write anything.

"I need to hit something..." He deduced as he flipped off his bed and reached for his gym bag. Throwing the bag against the wall he reached into the drawer to pull out a pair of padded gloves and shin guards and a waterbottle which he filled to the top. Tossing everything into the crumbled duffle he slung it quickly on to his shoulder and stormed out of the room.

He didn't have to far to find his victim, an old sturdy tree, an oak by the looks of it. It would do, any tree at that moment would have done. Raging, his face a mixture of anger and hate he unslung the bag and strapped on the first shin guard.

"Who the hell does he think he is to make me try to decide what job I am. I'm both damn it, why the hell would have have spent three years in the damned academy in the first place!" He muttered under his breathe, his hands tembling at the mere thought of what he said. "I don't understand the difference, I know the difference damned well, at least I'm not sitting in my desk to dick all day. Wonder how long he's going to be around before someone hauls off and breaks his neck...." He spat. He knew he had been a hair away from doing it himself.

He fought tooth and nail, he had done everything in his short time on the galileo security team to set himself into his Chief warrant role. He thought he had done a good job, but then this crime against nature showed up and stole it all away with a snap of his fingers...for no reason! He had done nothing.

He was pulling on his gloves now, staring beams of hate into the face of the tree. Imaging Stone's face...and what he was going to do to that face.
With a roar of rage he swung with every ounce he had, connecting against the rugged bark, he felt the initial shock of smashing his hand into a solid object, but watched as the tree shook, leaving rustling and branches swaying.
The second punch landed scant inches from the first, a peice of bark flew up scrating the side of his left cheek, which made the former marine even angrier.

It wasn't long that a flurry of kicks and heavy punches began landing with little pause.

Theron had had a pleasent day. It had been a day for him, just himself. it had been a good run this morning, followed by nap in the shade of a tree. He spent the last couple hours at a bazzare. He had found out about a bazzare in the southern part of the City. He had wandered about looking at all kinds of trinkets, jewelry, clothing, weapons, and other things he had no idea what they were. He had traded for a Klingon Hegh'bat ceremony knife. It would go well with his collection.

As Lt. Rhodes approached the area near the ship, he saw out of the corner of his eye a flurry of movement near a tree. The sun had set, but there was some light to make out an individual . . . basically attacking a tree. Thinking this somewhat odd, he approached the scene.

As Theron came around a tall bush he saw that Chief Kiwosk seemed drenched in sweat and was doing everything possible to take down this quite abstanant tree. He realized he needed to be very careful with this situation. And making a joke at this time would definately not be the best choice either.

Without approaching further, Theron called out. "Chief . . . Chief . . Take a break." saying the last line more firmly placing his hands on his hips.

Cyrus's last punch caused flakes and splinters to fall around his feet and stood back. He had been going for so long he hadn't even realized his knuckles were bruised and bloody. Dark red spots were showing through his gloves. "Lieutenant, I didn't hear you come up on me." He glanced around and then back at the tree. Sudden anger swelled up at him again and he swung again. His fist shaking the tree violently. "How are you doing this evening?" He asked, reaching to grab his water bottle.

Theron took and attitude change and crossed his arms across his chest, with a grim look on his face.

"I had the liberty of meeting your new Chief Security Offcer." His eyes were alive with fire as he turned back to the tree, rolling his shoulder as he prepared himself to attack the tree a second time.

Rhodes found no reason to stop the abuse. He realized what was taking place, but not why yet. "The new Chief is here? Since when?"

It wasn't Theron's fault, but the fact that he didn't even know that Stone was even on board made him angry again. "Damned if I know when he got here." He swung back at the tree so hard some green leaves fluttered to the ground. "Frankly...I'm ready for him to leave." He swung again, his fist connected with a solid thud, dents formed where the bark had been sheared away.

"Your new boss and I had a little talk earlier." He grunted, returning to the tree with renewed vigor. "And..." He said between punches.

"Lieutenant Stone." He punched hard, the tree shook softly.

"Told..." His next punch forced the tree to sway for a second.

"Me." His follow up created a slight groan from the defenseless oak.

"That...He...Was.." His punches were coming harder and harder, Cyrus was throwing his weight into every blow.

" REVOKING...MY....CLEARENCE!" His last punch was a blur as it connected to the bared wood of the tree. An audible CRACK echoed through the air and up the tree as the wood finally split several inches up and down the trunk." Panting, Kiwosk realized his left hand was shaking violently from the shock, and he couldn't move the fingers on that hand.

So he reached for his water bottle with the other.

Rhodes was deep in thought looking down as the Chief spoke, but finally said, "I guess it is time for me to report in to our new Chief of Security." Looking up he saw Kiwosk shaking slightly from muscle strain, covered in sweat, and what looked like blood trying to seep out of his fist bindings. "Cyrus, look at me."

Still breathing hard Cyrus looked up, a dull throb had started to begin in his left hand. "Your new Chief of Security, you forget that he has effectively kicked me off Security. I've been taken off the duty roster, he claimed I do not understand how Security works and that I am untrained and unqualified!" Kiwosk could feel the anger ebbing from his body, only to be replaced with desperation and confusion.

He glanced over at his handywork. A solid eight inch crack had erupted from the final impact, numerous dead branches had fallen clear of the tree. He felt a sudden pang of guilt as he realized that he had probably killed the tree in his rage. His shoulders slumped heavily as he looked back to Theron.

"I know this has been hard on you. I am not going to say this is something else." Glancing again at Cyrus' hands, "You need to get medical to look at your hands."

Cyrus looked down at his hands dumbly. His left had looked a large slab of ground beef, the bindings had torn free at one point and blood was dripping freely from the open cuts. His right was still looked like a hand, but large red blots had formed around his knuckles. "I'm fine." He grunted half heartidly. He didn't want Pola to see him like that.

Theron reitereated in a friendly way, "Understood?"

Cyrus looked at the ground, and nodded without saying another word. He took the bindings off his left hand slowly, watching it swell badly around the knuckles. Broken hand... He thought glumly. I think that's an even exchange mister Oak. He pressed it to his chest in an attempted to stop the bleeding from getting any worse. "I'll go see if the doctor is still available right away...Lieutenant Rhodes." He said. Technically Theron wasn't his boss anymore.

He reached for his gym bag and slung it over his shoulder. "...Thanks." He said to Theron.

Theron replied, "You are welcome Chief." Theron did not know what else to say. He did not want to promise him something, he could not provide. He then added, "I will going talk to my new Chief of Security now. Maybe I can get some understanding for his actions."

Cyrus nodded glumly and began to stagger back to the base. His arms heavy from the intense strain and the sudden realization his career could be over.

As Kiwosk walked away, Theron added friendfully, "I will see you around Cyrus."

"Yeah..." Was all he was able to get out before sighed. "See you...sir."

Great job guys! I'd been looking forward to reading this since Rhodes mentioned it and it did not disappoint that wait!
