Mission: Episode 17 - Crystal of Life
Location: USS Galileo-A - Marisa's Quarters
Timeline: MD -07, 1342 hrs

[ON]

Marisa and Luke had worked through the misunderstanding that arose from their meeting with Commander Blake and were now ready to make the move.

Marisa went through her quarters one more time, making sure her work was in one area and there was plenty of room for Luke to hang pictures or place knick-knacks on her bookshelf. She'd taken some of her work down to her office, and would probably still be arranging things for the next few weeks depending on work demands.

She moved her sampoƱa, lyre, and other instruments onto the top of her bookshelf and stepped back to make sure it didn't look too cluttered.

In the bedroom, Ops had installed a second closet. Apart from that, she was ready. She glanced at the pole. Hopefully he wouldn't mind that. It was the best place to do her exercises.

Luke didn't have much to bring with him, most of his clothes he had recycled and with him were just his favourite ones and a few photos of Abbey. The ones he had of Lillian had been placed into storage, he was starting a new chapter in his life with Marissa. Finding her quarters... their quarters was easy enough. Pressing the door chime waited outside.

Marisa greeted him with a smile. "Computer, allow Commander Luke Wyatt full acess to these quarters." That was the first step, before she got distracted with the details of the move-in.

"Why thank you" He teased moving past the threshold and into the room which clearly had a feminine touch and though he had been here before this was the first time he'd be calling it home, too. "So the rumours are already spinning," Luke said placing his right hand on her waist and pulling her in as he slipped his duffel bag onto the floor before he fully had her in an embrace.

Marisa wrapped her arms around him and kissed him. She was mildly curious about the rumors, but this was a priority. "Welcome home, love," she said when the kiss ended. "I could definitely get used to this." She kissed him again before asking, "What are the rumors?"

Having kissed her back and feeling his worries disappear, he had to agree, "Oh the usual, personally though my favourite is how we first met was apparently during an away mission where you were badly injured, near death and I your knight in shining armour rescued you. Some also think you're pregnant and some say we've secretly gotten married I mean honestly take your pick" Luke said before adding, "And there are some who always had an inkling about our developing relationship. Guess we weren't the best at hiding it as we thought."

"At least we don't have to worry about telling people," she teased. "I'm pretty sure most of science knows. They won't say anything around me, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were some interesting rumors there, too." She paused for a moment. "Should I tell you that I was first attracted to you on the DujaQ?"

"Oh really? And what was it exactly that drew you too me?" Luke asked. The pair had never spoken about what or when they were first attracted together which started their whirlwind relationship.

"Well..." Now that she'd mentioned it, she should probably explain. "It was after the Klingon attack. I went to the bridge with medical. You were in the corridor, injured. So, I stopped to help. And...you looked at me and told me I was beautiful." Now she was embarrassed. "And if you hadn't been in a relationship with...in a relationship. I probably would have...well, I don't know. Something. I wanted to. But, well, it wasn't appropriate. And I was dealing with a lot of stuff because of Kreanus, so I don't know how it would have turned out anyway." She put her head on his shoulder to hide her face. "When I saw you again, I still had those feelings."

Luke ran his hand through her hair, kissing the top of her head as he did, "I must have really hit my head on something hard then," he teased, his chest moving in time with his low chuckles, "I think for me it was returning to the Galileo and seeing you again, I decided to take my chance and go with my gut feeling. I'm glad I did"

"You were delirious at the time." She couldn't help chuckling at the memory. "Otherwise you would never have said anything. I didn't take you seriously. It was an odd moment that I'd forgotten about until we met again here. This time, though, it was different. I'm glad you listened to your gut, too." She sighed happily, enjoying the freedom of being able to express how she felt.

"Me too, let's celebrate with a glass of wine." He plopped his things on the floor next to the door and walked over to the replicate "Two glasses of Chateau Margaux 1787." As soon as his command was finished two glasses of red wine appeared after the dazzling blue lights display in the alcove. Picking them up Luke passed one to Marissa his arm out stretched. "To our future."

She took her glass and touched it to his. "To our future." As the couple drank, Marisa couldn't help thinking about her good fortune to have found Luke.

When they were done with their celebratory drink, Marisa set her glass on the table. "Shall we get you settled in?"

Luke nodded whilst placing his glass next to hers, "It shouldn't take long I recycled most of my clothes or put some belongings in storage." He said opening his bag. "Is there anything you really dont want in here?" The first thing he got out was a picture of him and Abbey with the red rock of Australia in the background.

"Nothing I'm aware of. There's definitely space for you and Abbey. How is she doing, by the way?"

Luke tried and tested different locations for the picture and finally setting it up on the desk that housed the LCARS terminal. "Really well, I get to speak to her once a week so we try and keep eachother up to date with everything weve been doing. Intelligence has really helped herself become a better person." The next item was his mounted K-Bar which was engraved with his commendation from the dominion war. It sat atop two wodden slats one holding it at the hilt the other at the blade. " Weapons ok? " he asked curiously.

"Of course. I have no problem with weapons. What does Abbey think about you and I moving in together?"

Quick to answer back Luke said, "She doesnt know yet, I wanted to wait until we actually moved in with one another in case we wasnt allowed or either of us got cold feet. Its on my agend for our next video call though"

Wanting to reassure him again, Marisa put a hand on his cheek. "Luke, there's no chance of cold feet on my part. I love you, and I want to be with you for as long as I can."

From where her hand rested on his cheek Luke could feel her love like a glowing warmth surround his body, he smiled. "And I love you." He placed his hand over hers before leaning in and kissing her on her sweet soft lips.

The kiss grew more heated and Luke wrapped his arms around her, enough so that he picked her up with relative ease. "I think I need to inspect the bed." He teased carefully navigating their quarters and to the bed. Slowly helping them down Luke's arms now either side of her body, he began kissing along her neck before finding their way back to her lips.

Marisa pulled him closer, all thoughts of unpacking melting away. It was a most satisfactory way to celebrate their new life together.
