Location: USS Galileo-A - Deck 02, 1303 SO
Timeline: MD 01, 0433 hrs

"Dad, you know I am not in the position to help you. I get it I do but you've come against a lot worse. The Borg, Klingons, Romulans, Cardassians, Dominion hell I think you've had a fight with just about every Species in the Alpha Quadrant" Abbey said smiling her eye's glowing as she did. "So the Tholians ought to be the ones worried, not you."

Listening to her words Luke chuckled "Who knew you'd be the one lecturing me one day Abbey, you really have changed since being with intelligence, what department are you in again?" She has always been very elusive when he asked her this question and he could tell she was hiding something.

"Just information gathering nothing too exciting, not like you and Marissa eh?" She pointed at the screen "You're in Loooove, and I know you've moved quarters because there's nooo way you'd ever have flowers in your quarters." She was pointing behind him now to the lilacs on the coffee table.

Looking behind him he smiled "Yes well, you always were one for your observation skills. Besides if it wasn't for you I'd have never tried a relationship with her so thank you for that." Luke was cut short but the lights dimming and dropping to yellow alert.

"Is everything ok Dad?" Abbey's face was painted with worry.

"Its nothing just a drill, we've been running them during our transit I'm sure I won't be missed, besides I don't get often to talk to you," He said but the screen to the LCARS distorted."Abbey?"

"Da.. Communi.. Prob... Cant... Hear... Lov... Yo" And His screen went blank. Luke sat back "Great, an hour a week that's all I ask for and I can't even get that.


USS Horizon, Location XXXXXXXX.XXX

Abbey sighed "What did you do?" She asked her roommate Jasmin who was watching her across the room. She shook her head before replying.

"Intelligence huh? I wonder how he'd feel if he really knew who you worked for. I wonder if he'd still call you every week" She smiled, "Come on we need a drink and you're paying." Jasmin jumped up from her bed and pulled abbey up with her.

Laughing Abbey stood picking up her jacket the black Starfleet Symbol catching the light the numbers 31 almost winking as she walked out the door.


USS Galileo-A

Luke had finished unpacking his things only interrupted by his scheduled check-in with his daughter Abbey. Her transformation over the past weeks had been stellar and he couldn't have been more proud. He was walking across the room when the lights went out.

"OUCH!" He said his shin bouncing of their Marissa...Their coffee table the only light being omitted was from his computer screen where a symbol he shouldn't have recognised was. "No way."

Luke had seen that symbol only once, during the Dominion war when his regiment had retaken a Cardassian stronghold, he knew one thing Starfleet didn't mess around when it came to that symbol and all he remembers was the crater they had left to make sure no one knew what it was.

The lights returned and he examined his leg the plant which Abbey had pointed out was on the floor. He resisted the urge to contact Amaranai when all hell broke loose.

"Extreme caution! Do not approach Sickbay. Quarantine alert. Screamed the computer.

"The one day I wanted to be left alone, the one day" He muttered to himself picking up the jacket that he had folded up on the sofa and throwing it over his broad shoulders. =^='Wyatt, Franklin What the hell is going on.'=^= Were the words that left his mouth as he exited their quarters and made towards Sickbay via the closest small arms locker.
