"Elizabeth," The governor said. "You have a superb arse. I shall enjoy despoiling it immensely"

And then all Amaranai could hear was the whistle of the crop cutting air.

And now the continuation

[ON]

Miraj cracked the door on the study a fingers width and peaked out. People were emerging from the dining room. She guessed who was the Governor from her memory of his description in the books, and knew the man with the long dark wig had to be the French Ambassador. That meant that following them was the Ambassador's wife, and the commander of the Fort. Finally, trailing behind had to be the Governor's ward and neice, the timid mousy girl not looking up. She had to duck into the study as they started mounting the stairs.

She leant against the door, trying not to look at the corpse half hidden by the desk, starting to void its bowels and stink to high heaven. She heard the party go past to their rooms. She counted to twenty, then opened the doors again. There was no helping Amaranai for now. She couldn't risk being seen. But she had a shot at the library. She cracked open the door, saw the coast was finally clear, and moved out, taking care to shut the study door behind them.

She slid silently down the bannister, landing on the marble floor below with a small tap of the shoes. It felt horribly loud, and she was sure the servants clearing the dining room would have heard, so she hurried to the library next to it and dashed in.

The servants were clearing the tables from the extravagant dinner. One of the woman shook her head as she looked at the waste of food on several plates. There was only one that had been cleaned - that of the governor's niece. She was a good young lady and always ate her meals, even if other people expected that she not eat at all.

There was a noise and the woman looked up. She stepped into the foyer in an attempt to see what had made the noise. Initially, she didn't see anything until the niece popped her head around a corner and looked at the woman.

"I'm sorry, miss," the servant said to the girl. "I thought I heard something else." She paused. "Can I help you with something?"

"No," the niece said. "I was just going for a walk."

The girl moved away from the dining room entry and started to walk away when she thought she heard something coming from the library. Moving closer to the door, she opened it and looked around to see if anyone was in the library. The niece stepped into the library to look for a book when she was surprised by someone else being in there.

"Oh," she said. "I didn't know anyone was in here."

Miraj looked up from rifling the books for the decoding discs and jumped away from them when she realised someone was here. Then she realised from the age and the lcothers that it was The Governor's neice. Eleanor. She felt a sudden twinge of sympathy, she knew what would happen to the girl in two books time. It felt a bit silly, feeling sorry for a fictional character, but she couldn't help it. She decided to gamble. "I need your help. Please."

The girl looked at the stranger and took in the situation. She tried to see if she knew this person. When he spoke, Eleanor was suddenly curious.

"You don't belong here," Eleanor began. "What do you want? What sort of help do you need?"

Miraj was relieved that the girl, only a year or two younger than herself, really, agreed so readily, and wasn’t screaming. “Something was stolen from my captain, and brought here. I need to get it back. Its three copper disks, that rotate, the edge of each is inscribed with letters of the alphabet. Have you seen it?”

Eleanor paused for a moment and looked at the other person in the room. She thought for several moments before speaking.

"I don't know if that's what they are, but my uncle does carry copper coins. I've only seen him holding them once, but I saw him put them back in his coat pocket."

Eleanor considered what she had admitted to the stranger.

"You won't hurt my uncle, will you?"

Despite her own poor relationship with her uncle, she did not want to see the man harmed or killed.

Miraj had to swallow a grin at that, knowing what was coming in two books time. "I don't intend to. But my friend went to search his room, and he's headed there now. And I'm worried for her."

Eleanor heard the words and her expression changed.

"She did?" There was a pause. "There were already some . . . women in the room."

Eleanor had emphasized the word hoping that the stranger would understand.

"They were there for my uncle to play with."

Miraj's face fell. She knew full well what sort of playing the Governor liked to do. "Oh." What on earth could she do now? If she barged in she risked blowing the whole game, and there was some good bits still to come. "I can't leave her there. I need a distraction. Set the place on fire?" she asked, more to herself than to the girl in front of her.

The look that Eleanor gave the other person was one of shock.

"Set the place on fire?" she said incredulously. "This is my home and no matter what, I would have to stop you."

She paused, then, to consider the situation and what had been said already.

"I could scream," she said.

Eleanor was formulating a plan.

"I could say that there were pirates in the house. There are only a few guards in the house. I could convince them to get my uncle. That would give you enough time to help your friend."

She paused again.

"But . . ."

Eleanor hesitated with this next part.

"If that happens, he would have to put his coat on and that would stop your friend from being able to get the copper coins you are looking for."

Miraj looked vexed. this was a tricky one. "What would get him out without his coat? anything?" probably not. Maybe she'd have to go with it and try and signal Amaranai to pick his pockets or something.

"Or . . ." Eleanor said. "If you have a weapon, you could just burst into the room." She paused. I could get the guards to follow me saying that I saw a pirate and then the door would be unguarded. You could go in like a thief, and grab your friend. And at the same time, you could grab his coat."

Eleanor wasn't sure if that would be a better solution, but it was a way to get what the boy wanted.

Miraj thought about it. "I don't have a weapon," she admitted. "And if you shout pirates, he may grab his coat. But if you shout fire? Most people just run. Say a fire in the stables?"

"But what if they go check it out and there's no fire?"

Now Eleanor was concerned for herself. If the guards or her uncle discovered that she was lying, she would be severely punished.

"Give me five minutes to go hide in the servants stairs, then scream your lungs out? Okay?" Miraj walked to the door. This was a good plan. It could work.

Eleanor nodded. She wouldn't have much time. Slowly exiting the room before the other person, she made her way to the stables. If she was going to scream that there was a fire, she was going to start one.

She walked to the stables and considered her time. She still had a few minutes, so she grabbed one of the lanterns and tossed it on the ground, shattering it, sending the flames against the hay and wooden planks.

For a moment nothing happened, but then the dry straw reached flash point and caught with a little "phut" sound, smoking winding up lazily. The fire picked up speed, moving greedily through the animal bedding. The horses were down the far end. They smelled the smoke and started to whicker with alarm. The stables were now perfectly light, and it would soon be visible from the house.

What had she been thinking? Did she really start a fire just so a stranger could steal something from her uncle? Was she really that desperate to cause her uncle annoyances that she would stoop to this level?

It was too late now, however, as the horses were beginning to be frightened by the coming flames. Shaking her head of her predicament, Eleanor ran down to the other end of the stables and began to open the gates, allowing the horses to escape. She then ran back to the house.

"Fire! Fire!" she screamed as she entered the hallway.

A servant ran into the hallway and looked at Eleanor. She could tell from the girl's singed clothing and short breath that she was not lying.

One of the two guards had raced down the stairs and approached the young woman.

"What's going on?"

"There's a fire in the stables. You must alert my uncle!"

Even in the servants stairs, Miraj heard Eleanor shouting, and grinned. Not long after there was running feet going past her door, more shouts. She cracked the door, to check the coast was clear. So far. so good. she hurried down the hallway to the Governors room, and burst through the door.

--------------------

Amaranai was holding tight to the other girl as the riding crop laced her across her behind. She winced in pain and the redhead hushed her quietly. The governor, not pleased that his new girl was so weak decided to hit her again, this time with more force behind his swing. It landed and though Amaranai wanted to scream out in pain, another scream was suddenly heard - but it was outside the room.

There were footsteps, and though the governor turned around for one moment, he returned his gaze to the glorious ass in front of him, now scarred red from the crop.

"Pay it no mind," he said and readied the crop for another strike when the door burst open.

Miraj dashed through. And froze. This was not what she was expecting. She saw the governor, naked and rampant, and immediately wished she could scrub her eye balls with bleach. She wasn't going to forget that any time soon.

And multiple women. She recognised the corset, that had to be Amaranai, and, oh, this was embarrasing. Not only could she see Amaranai's naked back side, her skin was marked with red welts. She put her hand over her mouth, shocked at the damage.

The governor glared at her. "Who the hell are you, boy?"

Miraj looked around, saw the governors coat where Amaranai had tossed it, and grabbed for it. "Time to leave!" she shouted to Amaranai.

When the door opened, Amaranai looked to see who else was coming in. Was it another man to violate her? No. It was, in terms of the moment, her savior - Miraj. In those split seconds while everyone stared at each other, Amaranai considered her position - half naked, red marks on her ass, underwear gone - and there was Miraj, someone that Amaranai had once thought about trying to start a relationship with. Of course that didn't happen, but what if it had? The security officer knew that this was all a simulation - albeit a very real one - and that she wasn't in any real danger, but if the two officers had become an item, would that have changed the situation?

Amaranai was released by the redhead at the shock of someone else entering the room. When Miraj shouted, Amaranai jumped up quickly, turned on the governor and punched him in the gut.

"How's that, sir?" she spit with anger.

She would have done more but the corset was constricting most movement. She didn't even care about her clothes and simply ran toward Miraj, who had grabbed the coat from the floor.

The Governor collapsed to the floor, wheezing and gasping. Miraj cheered the punch. She knew what a little shit the Governor was, and the worst was yet to come. "Yes! Now run!"

They dashed out of the room, heading for the servents stairs. Miraj trying to rifle the silk coat's pockets as she ran. "Are you okay?" she asked, trying to run and search as well as talk.

Amaranai did not need to be told to run when Miraj yelled. She was ready to get out of that room and away from the governor. As they ran down the hall, Amaranai heard a voice from behind her.

"Get them!"

It was the governor. Amaranai turned quickly to look but luckily there were no guards close by. The brunette heard the question from Miraj and smiled as they approached the stairs.

"I'm alright," she said. "I won't be able to sit down for a few hours, but I'll be okay."

They pounded down the stairs, heading for the stables, but when Miraj threw the door open, she was confronted with the burning stable. Smoke roiled in, leaving her coughing and wheezing. She slammed the door. "Back! We have to go through the house." She turned and headed up again, racing for the nearest exit. But as she got close the door to the first floor opened, revealing two of the Governor's guards.

The stables were ablaze and it kept the two from escaping that way. They turned back toward the house and when the door opened, both women stopped.

"You there!" one guard said. "Stop!"

"Can't get out that way," Amaranai said quickly.

Amaranai grabbed Miraj's hand and pulled her away from the guards. She ran around the corner and stopped to take a breath.

"We need another way out of the compound."

"I know!" Miraj knew exactly where to go. "This way!" She ran off, entering the long gallery at the front of the first floor, Amaranai keeping pace, and guards not far behind. Cutting through a drawing room, they doubled back, Miraj slamming doors behind to slow pursuit. Soon she got where she wanted to go. The window over the main door.

She threw up the sash window. "Jump!"
