Mission: Episode 01 - Project Sienna
Location: IKS Na'vi - Holding Cell #2
Timeline: MD08 - 2030hrs

Previously, on A Matter Of Time....

"Lieutenant Coleman....service number IL-104-0221....USS Galileo....I am General D'Grath....and now that we know each other....you will be telling me all I wish to know....or this is going to get very....unpleasant....for you at least."

Evelyn looked at the General, especially his forehead ridges. "D'Grath, Son of N'Vor...House of Tokar, as anyone ever mention that you look almost exactly like your grandfather?"

"I am not here to play games with you El Aurian......I want to know where your ship is hiding....and everything about that weapon that is stored in your little brain...you can either tell me....or I will find out for myself....the choice is yours."

Evelyn tilted her head to the side, wishing she could scratch an inch on the side of her head. Her eyes though were never taken off D'Grath's. "You know I cannot do that, I will not betray my comrades no more then you'll betray yours. Say what you want about the Federation or Starfleet, but I care about my honor. I will tell you the truth though. Project Sienna is not a weapon."

"This....is a Klingon pain-stick...something I'm sure you're well acquainted with...now I ask you again...give me the transponder codes to the Galileo, or I promise you, I will give you an experience that you will remember for the rest of your long...long life."

Jamming the stick into her stomach once more, D'Grath would have usually broken the neck of anyone who had insulted his honour, and the honour of the Empire in such a way. Starfleet had always looked down on the Empire for being such a warlike organisation, devoted to the way of the warrior instead of the way of peace and diplomacy - weak concepts that had no place in the universe.
If necessary, he would turn this woman into a shell of her former self, break her mind, her body and her spirit if necessary, but he would get what he wanted.

"This is your last chance El Aurian - give me what I want, or I promise, you will not survive the rest of the day! That ship and it's secrets will belong to the Empire, no matter what methods I have to resort to!"

"I will return in one hour....I suggest you reconsider your position...or our surgeon's will simply extract the information for me....and feed your...shell....to the targs!"

Dropping the stick on the floor where he stood, the General turned on his heels and headed back into the shadows, and out of the door, leaving the Lieutenant alone, for now at least.

As soon as she heard the metallic door close, Eve let herself dangle by her restraints, she was tired, her body was weakening. Evelyn closed her eyes, trying to ignore the pain, and focus on surviving a little longer.

And Now, the continuation.....

The General had been given more than enough time to examine the work of his subordinate, Captain K'Nara, who so far had been about as successful with the Orion female as he had been with the El-Aurian...that said...at least K'Nara had been given the opportunity to spill blood...so far, the General had not gotten quite as...direct.

Watching as the guards outside the cell sprang to attention at the sound of his approaching footsteps, the General snarled and watched as one of them tapped in the command code to open the cell before snapping back into position.

The El-Aurian female was exactly where he had left her, dangling from her chains like the meal of a Targ waiting to be devoured...an interesting method for interrogations, but he found it to be most effective with the more difficult subjects.

"Lieutenant....I hope you are enjoying your stay with us....."

Evelyn smiled, "Actually, it's been rather therapeutic. This..." she nodded upwards towards her bounded hands above her head, "...is doing wonders to my back!" she said with amusement in her voice. "And our previous session really cleared my sinuses, and from here I can smell the Gagh is no longer fresh."

"Well....I hope I can continue being such a generous host...." The Klingon could not help but laugh at her statement, usually, a few hours hanging in the dark were enough to break the fair majority of captives, but not in this case, he would probably have to get a little more....energetic.

"I give you one final chance to avoid the humiliation and pain of a further interrogation....the choice is yours Lieutenant."

"Yeah yeah, the transponder codes." Evelyn signed as she looked at the floor for a second and then back up at him, "Ok, transponder codes, USS Galileo...hmm" she thought about it. "7-3-9-16-50-Epsilon-Epsilon-Mu... no wait sorry that's for the Earth ship Galileo, NX-23. um..." She took another second. "Um....uh... 3-2-6...no you don't want the shuttlecraft Galileo...Ugh!" She lowered her head in shame and then started laughing.

A moment's worth of expectation and hope that he would get exactly what he wanted with just a few hours of delay were quickly dashed when the El-Aurian started off once again with her mind games. The equivalent of showing a red rag to a bull in this case. Roaring in anger, the General gave into his more primal instincts and grabbed the El-Aurian by her throat, lifting her from the ground in one move, before throwing a punch strong enough to knock the wind out of even a Jem'Hadar's sails into her stomach.

"ENOUGH!"

Eve coughing, gasping for air, after he punched her in the gut. Her breathing was shallow because of the hand to her throat. She looked down at him. "I d-don't know...them." she says breathlessly. "b-be-because of thisss...interrogation-torture...part of job...know...nothing c-can't share anything." she gasps.

Listening to the life being choked out of his captive, D'Grath was tempted to just let it fade away, and put the woman out of her misery...but right now he needed her....even if she didn't know anything herself....she could still be useful. Staring into her eyes and bearing his teeth, the general eventually, let his hand fall from her neck.

"If you know nothing then you will die!" He retorted, allowing the back of his hand to swipe across her face with considerable force as he stepped back.

"Either you or your captain will lie dead at my feet, if not both of you, is that what you want??"

Eve's head was low, inhaling much needed air, couching in between breaths. This time she tasted the copper flavor of blood in her mouth. "No.." she groaned, "No that's not what I want." She lifted her head and looked at him straight in the eyes. "I want all of this to stop! I want the alliance to...to be stronger. I want this upcoming generation to be prosperous...to be smarter. I want the peace we've worked and fought so hard for to end like this."

Her eyes began to water and she blinked hard breaking her gaze with the D'Grath. "I can't believe all of this is for that stupid experiment that's going to fail anyway." She couldn't keep a few tears from streaming down her cheeks. She liked her lips and sighed, "Go ahead D'Grath; kill me. At least you can get some satisfaction after all of this."

"Pathetic female....no wonder your species were so easily defeated by the Borg...you have no warrior's spirit, no strength, no honour.....a race of listeners? No....you are a race of cowards!"

The General bellowed at the top of his lungs, incensed by her refusal to cooperate. No matter how many times she said it, D'Grath was under no illusion that she as lying about not knowing anything about her ship...any good intelligence officer knows everything about their vessel....either she had failed herself, or she had failed her vessel, either way, on a Klingon starship, she would have been killed long ago if she had been a member of his crew.

Evelyn froze and turned her head to glare at him. "What do you know about my species? For that matter what do you know about me? I received high praise from Chancellors Ditagh and Kravokh, son of J'Doq, one even gave me several cases of bloodwine from their personal collection. So forgive me if I don't take your words the way you intended." Her eyes narrowed as her body stiffened. "My homeworld was destroyed by the Borg, my people scattered all over the galaxy, but we survived. Just because there is only handful of us doesn't mean we haven't prevailed."

"Dead Chancellors from a dead age with no honour left to speak of...your words mean nothing to me, your time of glory is over...and now you hang like a freshly butchered animal in my cells begging for your freedom....or at least...you will soon...."

Reaching to his side, the General removed his k'tang from it's holster, pressing the small trigger to release the additional pair of blades from their hiding places, and looked down at the metal. This blade had belonged to his father, and to his father before him. It had taken many lives, gained his family much honour, and now, it was about to do it again.
Moving forward, D'Grath slashed out with the weapon, slicing the Lieutenant's uniform from shoulder to hip diagonally, allowing the material to fall freely, exposing part of her body to the fetid air of a Klingon dungeon.

"Next time....I will not miss that soft weak flesh of yours El-Aurian....perhaps a little humility will improve your level of cooperation....I will return in one hour...where you will tell me everything....or you will die."

Evelyn didn't flinch when his blade sliced through her uniform but was surprised to feel the air on her now exposed breast, she hadn't thought he'd slice her bra too. "I'm looking forward to it." she replied with no hesitation, no fear.

"We shall see."

Resheating the blade onto his belt, the General turned and headed towards the doors, almost disappearing into the shadows before he called back without turning himself to face her.

"I do not take pleasure in killing....no matter what you may believe."

And with that, the doors parted, and he disappeared.

The metal doors finally slide shut and the sound of the metallic latch locking into place softly echoed in the barren cell. Eve looked down at her tattered uniform and sighed. "Figures, I just got the damned thing dry cleaned too."
