Mission: Episode 01 - Project Sienna
Location: USS Galileo - Deck 4, Main Shuttlebay
Timeline: MD 07 - 1430 hrs

With her preparations underway and her requisition order sent ahead, Kestra made her way to the shuttle bay. The quicker they could get there and gather the personnel back to the Galileo, the quicker they could make the jump back to safe space and get the scientists settled again. The news about the Petersham was distressing, but worse had been seeing her fellow officers fly at each other at just the mention of the crisis. A ship's stability was only as good as its leaders and now she found herself worrying more than she already had been. And the lack of verifiable evidence as to the Empire's intent with the Petersham made Kestra even more uncomfortable; she could only hope the Captain would inform her of Coleman's findings before she found herself in the middle of a firefight without reference. Re-focusing on her present mission, she pushed her other concerns aside for now. One step at a time. PADD in hand and phaser holstered, she waited for the others to arrive.

Mor'an entered the shuttlebay, an aura of calm following her as usual. She looked around and saw that only Kestra had arrived before her. Mor'an silently walked to her side and nodding in greeting.

Having come straight from sickbay, Pola straightened her uniform jacket, hoisting up the medikit balanced on her shoulder. She had cleared her mind of everything which had happened, leaving the past to the past now it had been sorted out with the CO. The Doctor also realised that the mission ahead of them was going to require full concentration in order to transfer all personal in the short time frame they had been given. Spotting that Kestra and Mor'an were already there, she smiled softly, nodding her head in acknowledgement to both officers.

Kestra looked at both of them in turn. Im'er could take care of herself; Kestra had seen her in action and, though she wasn't entirely clear on the intentions of the cadet's mentor, Mor'an was one of hers and she'd earned Kestra's trust. The doctor... that remained to be seen, but it wasn't her business to judge the behaviour of others unless it put the ship or the mission in jeopardy. She wasn't planning on engaging with any debates with the doctor. Their mutual goal would most likely keep the woman from getting distracted. Later, though... well. She needed to get to know the other senior staff much better. That much was clear. With a small lift of her brows, she led the way to the shuttle and took the co-pilot's seat with a nod to the young human woman who was waiting to pilot the shuttle across the way.

Settling into the seat at the back, Pola pulled out her PADD detailing the names of the personal who were to be transferred. It seemed that the number had slightly crept up due to new people being assigned to USS Galileo and she had been delighted to see that a nurse was among the names. She doubted she would have the time to speak with him but would catch up with him once the starbase staff were settled. Chewing on her thumbnail, she seUuttled into the reading of the room assignments and such so she would be familiar with it all when the time came to need it. She had read through it all before leaving but there was never any harm in double checking.

Mor'an followed the other women onto the shuttle and sat in the first seat she saw. She wasn't fond of flying in small crafts, but then, that was a fear she had to get over quickly, wasn't it? After buckling herself in, she leaned her head back and closed her eyes.

"Just the three of you?" the crewman asked quietly.

"Just us. Take her out, Crewman Wilder," Kestra murmured. "Let's get these people safely to the Galileo. Cadet, eyes on the console. All knowledge is worth having." She glanced back over her shoulder at the doctor and brushed a tentative feeler over the woman's mind. She felt calm now, controlled and directed, with a fizzle of positive anticipation. Good. Quick and steady was what they needed.

Around them, the shuttle began to hum; the console gauges swayed to show their level and engine power. "Prepared for departure, sir," the young crewman reported. "Direct course for landing bay of Starbase 152."

=^=Shields, T'Paaru?=^=

=^=Shuttle one is go for departure,=^= T'Paaru reported through the shuttle's comm. =^=Safe flight to you, sir.=^=

"Engage," Kestra nodded to the crewman and they lifted in the shuttle bay before easing out of Galileo's protective shields and heading towards their destination. "Lieutenant Ni Dhuinn, you have the updated crew roster? Care for a cross-check?" she asked, offering her own PADD back to the doctor.

Smiling gently at Kestra as she looked around, Pola leaned forward to take the offered PADD, "That sounds good to me Lieutenant." Even though they were both senior officer and both of the same ranking, she recognised that it best for Kestra to take the lead here as she was chief of security and better equipped for any issues which may occur. "From what I have here, I believe last count has 25 scientists and our two lead scientists. Last update was that the new crew personal have had their own transport arranged."

Kestra nodded. "Yes, our additional crew are on route to the Galileo on one of the station's shuttles. Twenty-seven scientists and their personal effects are going to be quite a lot to wrangle. We've set up personnel scanners in the shuttle bay back on the ship for when we get back there with our guests; those should check for all the same things the transporters do - diseases, microbes, infections, weapons, hidden belongings... If there are any health issues, we can escort them directly to sickbay if that works for you."

Biting the side of her lip, Pola quickly flipped though the list of personal, "Myself and my staff had a look through their medical files, and there isn't any serious health issues which we have been made aware of so at least that is one less worry. It should be simplistic to reconfigure the tricorders to act like the bio filters in relation to possible bio-hazards. Might it be an idea to try set up a small status field area should something be picked up? We can use this to contain the crewmember that is causing the concern? I know we are limited in relation to space but I'm not sure it'll be an option to leave people behind."

"If you can, I'd like to rule out any possible contagions before we all sit on this shuttle together for the trip back over," Kestra murmured. "Everything else, I think, we can handle on the Galileo. I'd like to get back to the ship as quickly as possible. Expediting this process should help to rule out extra personnel issues. Do you agree?"

Feeling slightly confused now, Pola thought she had already addressed all of that, her idea was concerning any possible contagions found which could not be treated until they got back on board the ship. Biting her lip, she figured it must have been her medical mind confusing things again, and figured she may as well go with the flow. "I'll get the tricorders reconfigured, it'll take next to no time to scan each individual to rule out contagions, thus expediting the process."

Looking across at Mor'an, Pola smiling gently, "Are you trained up on how to correctly use a medical tricorder Cadet? If I have a second pair of hands it would help."

"I have been trained with various different medical tools," Mor'an said, "I know how to handle one well enough."

"Perfect, I'll get the tricorders reconfigured and we'll be able to get through all of the scientists in half the time it would have taken." Smiling at her colleagues, Pola settled back into her chair to enjoy the ride. He'd had a long day so far which wasn't even close to being finished so she figured it would be best to rest as much as possible.
