Location: USS Galileo - VIP Quarters, Deck Two
Timeline: MD 1 0700 hours

Cadwyn slumped his duffel bag on the floor from his shoulder as the doors to the VIP quarters closed behind him. As her footsteps softened down the corridor, Norvi's voice was still ringing about his ears.

"Don't get comfortable."

He surveyed the room and sighed, widening his eyes at what was surrounding him. Or the lack of what was surrounding him.

This is the creme de la creme on the ship? he questioned himself with a frown. What I am going to be shoe-horned into after this?

In truth, the room was far less grand than he was used to. The Perim estate on the Trill homeworld was vast and luxurious and he had access to all of it. To wander the grounds to work, or when he wanted to lose himself in the surrounding nature at leisure. Norvi's father had allowed the young man to take up residence in the hunter's lodge on the other side of the lake. From there he had total and utter freedom. His workload was his own as were his working hours. And over the years he had become more than just the groundskeeper. He had become part of the family.

And now here he was on his 'big sister's' behest, tending to a couple of square metres of ground and living in a tin can the size of his wardrobe. He sighed loudly and strode the few steps over to the bed, crashing down on its plush mattress with his hands folded behind his head. He looked up to the decked playing above him and the just through the large window that framed the bed. The flashing stars streamed overhead as he watched them pass by at warp. It was pretty in a way and somewhat therapeutic. He sighed loudly and pursed his lips.

So this would be his life for the foreseeable future. He could honestly think of worse places to be. Like back home on Earth. But that life was for behind him now. And he was the better off for it.
