Abbey laid on her bed starring up at the plain white ceiling. She had been doing this for the past hour thinking about things that didn't really matter and making up stories in her head. Finally turning onto her stomach so looked over at Jacob. Sliding quietly of her bed she tip toed over to where he was and jumped on top of him giggling as she did. "I'm bored!"

Jacob had been reading the latest on "Quantum Energy and Alpha Wave Transmissions" as he laid propped up on his bed when Abbey pounced on him. He laughed at her cute playfulness, "Why so bored Abs? Doesn't this particular case with the mine leave you wanting to solve it even more?" He gently sat her up as he, himself sat up more.

Abbey sat up, she allowed Jacob to call her and simply because he was cute and bigger than her. "I've kind of let myself forget about the mines they scare me and I don't like the idea of what happened"

Jacob nodded, "I know Abs, I know. Such mysteries though are what make us want to know more, understand more, become wiser than we were before, no matter how much we dislike something, it is important for us all to go through those trials and tribulations... it is the strongest reason for being and what makes us truly Human."

Smiling she leant back against the wall and sighed "Can we go for a walk?" She asked sheepishly. "I think a walk would help and maybe clear our minds so we can figure this problem out!"

"That would be lovely." Jacob replied happily, then added, "Have you ever tried the city building program I put in the Holodeck archives? I would love to show you one of my cities if you're game."

Abbey jumped up excitedly "Please, you such a talented holographic novelist creator magicianie person" She teased but the truth in the fact his programs where amazing.

Jacob replied happily, "Ok then, its settled. Let me invite you to one of my many creations... and perhaps you might be able to give me some tips as well.. I think my cities are nicely created but they could probably use a little bit of a 'woman's touch'".

Soon they arrived at Holodeck 2. "Computer," Jacob deep voice boomed, "Simulation City file 14-07014." The computer responded, "Acknowledged. Welcome back Mayor Pendleton, your city awaits you." Jacob turned to Abbey and first showed her the schematics of the city before going in. "Here is the map and overview of 'Mondragon', one of my many cities. We shall enter here..." He pointed to a busy entrance that linked his city with a transportation network. "...I really hope you like it Abs."

Mayor Pendleton Abbey giggled before straightening herself and with a smile "Lead the way Mayor" She winked grabbing his hand gently.

The door slid open to an incredible city. A large blacktopped road was connected to a larger road system; this was Mondragon's main street. It was just shortly after 7 A.M. (according to a large clock which hung on the white, marble columned building in front of them) and the city was already getting busier.

In the short distance to the north, a road veered off from the main street and some housing and small shops could be seen; an architectural bridge spanned a good sized river that flowed through the middle of the city's boundaries, and beyond the river was the main part of the town itself.

Jacob clothes had instantly changed (as per the protocol of the program) to a three piece suit and tie reminiscent of Earth's 1930's fashion including a smoke grey fedora adorning his head.

People were milling about as their own day was ready to start. Mondragon's population (at least here around City Hall) seemed to be quite diverse in cultures. The majority were Human; every race, every ethnicity could be seen, with a few alien species for flavor.

Most every person who passed them tipped their hat, bowed or curtsied to Jacob with sayings like, "Good Mornin' Mayor Pendleton", "Good Day Mr. Mayor" and so forth. Many of the women added to their greetings flirtatious looks towards Jacob, and many of the men did the same to Abbey in greeting or passing by.

Jacob shook hands with some, greeted as many as he could vocally, took Abbey's hand once more and said, "Time to get to the office and see what's going on in the city today."

"They're all so friendly" she said as she eye flirted with one of the young men and at te same time shot looks towards the pretty young woman who did the same to Jacob, not that she was jealous in anyways. "What sort of things are there to do? This town is already so lovely!" She allows herself to stand closer to Jacob so that they were touching arms.

"Well let's see what is on tap for today and then we can walk into to town together. As for things to do, there is shopping and parks but I may need your advice on what to put into the town.. I was thinking maybe an amusement park or perhaps a stadium or maybe some monuments and things like that. Think about that as we get to my office." He took her arm and walked to the end of the long, marbled hall to the office door. It was large door made of beautiful mahogany wood and frosted glass. On the glass the words "Mayor Jacob V. Pendleton, City of Mondragon".

As they walked through the door, a large desk of cherry wood stood prominently in the center of the room. Behind the desk sat a gorgeous red headed, curvy woman. She wore glasses and had her hair up in a braid as she furiously typed away some kind of report on what looked like a very ancient kind of computer. She looked up from her desk and smiled brightly to both of them, "Mayor Pendleton and good day to you as well miss."
Jacob smiled back and replied, "Victoria, good morning to you. This is my awesome friend and roommate Abbey Wyatt. Abbey, Victoria Le Beauchamp."

Abbey faked a smile as she walked alongside Jacob "Nice to meet you Victoria" she added noting to bring her up in a later conversation with her 'roomie'. Taking a glance around the office she was blown away by the amazing detail Jacob obviously put into it.

They entered his actual office space. It was spacious with comfortable seating in the middle, a large oak office desk at the back end, plenty of artwork and nicknacks on shelves around the room, and plenty of lighting fixtures that had the style of ancient Earth around the time of the 1920's-1940's. On the large oak desk was a full map of the city. It used grids and zones to mark boundaries for housing, industry, commercial and special use zones; including open spaces, parks and other city amenities.

Jacob stood over the map smiling and said, "See here?" He pointed to some undeveloped spaces in the southern part of the city map, "Right here is where I want to do something really awesome as I mentioned to you. I just don't know what. As I mentioned, I am leaning towards an amusement park but I am open to suggestions Abs. A Casino, A giant city park, a dirigible balloon hanger so people could travel to other towns by Zepplins, some really impressive monuments perhaps, or maybe a full fledged University... and there are other choices... I just don't know..."

"An aqua park!" Abbey said jumping and quickly putting her hand to her mouth suppressing a shrek of excitement. "I think an aqua park would be a brilliant idea" she repeated more calmly.

"Hmm..." Jacob's eyes lit up. "An Aqua Park is a fantastic idea Abs!! See? I knew you would be a great person to bring here and help this big ol' mayor with his dilemma!" He quickly moved around to other end of the table and began to draw plans for a theme park based around water rides and all things water related. He sketched a quick zone of where it would go, where the roadway would get to it, parking and then a business zone right next to it so commerce would get a boost from the park.

As he was finishing up his drawings, they both heard some commotion coming from the waiting room. It sounded like a man yelling and cursing at Jacob's secretary outside. "What in the world is going on?" Just then three men burst into the room: An older man, and two younger men beside him, all wearing older styled suits, shoes and hats. "Pendleton!" The older man bellowed as Victoria added in a flustered tone, "I tried to stop them sir. They threatened me however!"

A scowl covered Jacob's face immediately, "Mr. Kingseran, you cannot come into my office like this and you cannot threaten my secretary either. Now turn yourself around this minute or we will have a problem here."

"I will NOT turn anywhere!" The man replied angrily. "It's time for you to stop having sex with tramps in this office," The man pointed at Abbey, "And get things done around here you fraud! Why don't you do something about the fucking aliens and minorities around here?! When are you going to act? Because if you don't, 'we' the citizenry will!" The two men beside him opened their suits to reveal baseball bats.

Victoria shrieked and ran out of the room, got on the phone and called for security. Jacob angrily right up to Kingseran, "You DARE threaten me?? You dare call my friend here a tramp??" He dwarfed the older man and both his cohorts. "Take you and your sons here, and the rest of the Aryan Nation bunch in your neighborhood and LEAVE this town!! Got it? Oh and you better be putting those bats away as well, unless you want me to shove them up your collective asses!"

The younger of the two apparent sons, frightened out of his mind by the sheer size and reputation of Jacob reacted and took a swing of his bat aiming at Jacob's head...

Abbey screamed as she picked up a paper weight from the desktop and threw it as hard as she could at the bat swingers head before attempting to tackle him. She couldn't believe the scene unfolding in front of her.

The young man was caught completely unaware as Abbey smacked him hard. He never thought he'd be attacked by her and she made him pay tackling him with ferocity. He could not even defend himself as her tackle stunned him.

Jacob saw the opening and grabbed the bat that the young man had dropped when Abbey hit him and gave a death stare to the other two men who were now completely befuddled by the chaos. Jacob took it in his hands at both ends and with a mighty (and angry) growl he broke the bat in half by sheer strength. The other young man dropped his bat and scurried at full speed to the door only to open it and find three City Hall guards coming in the door themselves. They immediately tackled him down and put hand cuffs on him.

Meanwhile Mr. Kingseran looked around to see both his sons out of action and now a very, VERY angry six foot eight tall mountain of a man standing right in his personal space peering down at him with absolute disdain. "NOW Horace!" Jacob using the man's first name, "I will give you all of the count of three to surrender to the guards or end up like this bat here... ONE, TWO..."

Abbey watched somewhat amused, and in awe of Jacob she hand't really looked at him but in this intense he looked beautifully scary. "Who's the tramp now?" She teased with a smile "I think you should give up" Abbey added sitting back on the desk.

Kingseran backed away quickly, trying desperately to get out of the office door, and in doing so ran right into the arms of the incoming City Hall security detail. "You all right Mayor Pendleton?" asked one of the guards as they restrained Kingseran. "I am fine Captain Gonzales. I am charging him and his sons for attempting treason by violent means, attempted assault and battery with deadly weapons towards a city official and his honored guest." He carried the broken bat to the captain and handed it to him. "I also request an emergency Council meeting regarding Kingseran and his little enclave of white supremacists on the north corner of the city."

The Captain nodded and replied, "Will do immediately sir." He then looked down at Kingseran, "Time to pay for your little attempted 'insurrection' Horace." The Captain forced the man and his sons out of City Hall and straight to the jailhouse.

Jacob turned to Abbey. "Sorry about that.. that was unexpected... completely unexpected.. my apologies Abs."

She shrugged with a smile "I actually found it fun, I haven't ever tackled someone like that before, but what he was saying about me? Does that mean you bring every girl into your office or just me?" She teased now having moved closer to Jacob.

Jacob blushed slightly, "A lot of the women of the town are attracted to me, and that was not something I wrote into the code mind you, many of the female characters were created by several of my female friends at the Academy and I am sure they meant to tease me mercilessly. It is what it is is Abs... besides, they are holograms not real like you are. They can't be a good friend or good roommate like you are. No matter how well a program is written.. and I am only a fair programmer... it is isn't real no matter how much we may want it to be. Nevertheless, again, I apologize for that incident. Horace Kingseran and his cronies and his little enclave of nitwits will soon be forced to leave this city once and for all. I think the council is as fed up with their racist, bigoted attitudes... in any case, come on, let me continue to show you this fair city I have built."

Abbey smiled as she grabbed for his hand and pulled herself into his side. "I'd like to go somewhere quiet" She said looking up at him, he eyes sparkling like they always did when the sun reflected of them.

He smiled down at her. It was always so nice to be with her. They always seemed to have fun when they were together. "Ok Abbey, let's go walking in one of the many lovely parks I made sure were put in this city." Jacob's voice was now back to calm and soft. He put his arm gently around her waist in a friendly way and walked back through the door to the waiting room. "Victoria, I hope you this little incident did not upset you too much." She shook her head and smiled at him, "No sir. I am fine." Jacob nodded back, "Good. Good. Take an hour break ok? Get something to eat and relax. I will be out showing Abbey our lovely city, but I will be back for the emergency Council meeting this eve, ok?" She nodded and made notes in her secretary's file. "Very good Mayor Pendleton."

Shortly they made their way out of the building to the street. A bus stopped as it always did right in front of the City Hall at its usual stop and a couple of people boarded. Jacob took Abbey's hand and got them into the vehicle. The bus driver, a middle aged man, smiled brightly at them. "Mayor Pendleton! How nice of you to ride my route today!" Jacob slipped some money into the till for him and Abbey. "Yes sir Julian, it is indeed a great day to ride your route. I am taking the lovely Abbey here for a guided tour of the city." Julian tipped his cap to Abbey and replied, "Lovely lady indeed Mr. Mayor." Jacob smiled brightly and escorted Abbey to a middle seat. Almost everyone in the bus smiled at Jacob, shook his hand, said a greeting or made some small talk, as they were delighted to see their Mayor riding along their commute.

As the bus continued along its route Abbey had found herself starring out past the window and at all the new sights, Jacob really was a talented person. Turning she smiled up at him catching the twinkle of his eyes. Holding them in her own gaze she pushed herself up to his height and with a little hesitation kissed him.

Her lips parted as she smiled from underneath his not sure how he felt but abbey felt this was right, she could taste his salty lips and feel his heavy breath. She didn't care that the holograms maybe watching after all they were only holograms.

Jacob was caught completely unaware as her lips met his. Normally his immense strength could have easily pushed her off, but.... lightning struck him, the earth... no actually the entire galaxy shook! Time stopped as did his heart for a moment, and also his brain seized up to make matters worse. All of his unbelievable strength left him. He melted into his seat. He couldn't do anything except kiss her back.

He kissed her sweetly; partly with trepidation, partly with confusion, partly with passion and want, her lips were soft and sweet... pure ecstasy.
He embraced her for nearly a full minute; his massive arms wrapped around her and completely in a position of submission in his seat.
It was then that reality sent in as he quickly broke the kiss. Breathlessly he said, "Wha.. Abbey.. what are.... what are we doing?? We.. can't... we shouldn't... I mean... we.. I... I am supposed to be your mentor... and we... are friends.... and roommates...."

Abbey's cheek shone a bright crimson "I thought... I thought that's what you wanted Jacob" She said embarrassed "You don't like me?" She added shying away disbelief and shock written on her face. How could she have kissed a man who didn't want to be kissed. Quickly standing up she made her way to the front of the bus and begged him to stop. Pulling to a kerb she ran of the bus and down the street not looking behind her.

Jacob took off after home while the entire bus looked on. He was faster than her, at least in a straight line anyway, and he soon caught up to her. "Abbey! Stop! Please!! I loved the kiss! I swear! Please! We need to talk about this!! I beg you!!"

Abbey wiped tears away from her face furiously, she had gained a lot of distance from Jacob but she could still hear his voice "You're just saying that!" SHe shouted over her shoulder hiding into her jacket. She crossed the road and took a sharp right down an alley.

Jacob yelled at her, "Please Abbey, I didn't have a clue your feelings for me. I was sure you wanted us to be friends only!! Come on!!" He chased after her, nearly running over some of his own citizens in the process.

Coming out the other end, Abbey found herself in the hustle and bustle of Jacobs city. Confused and lost she made her way until she found herself at the edge of the road. Not looking she crossed un-aware of the oncoming traffic.

Jacob saw her in the nick of time, just as a semi truck came roaring up around the curve of the road. With all his speed he grabbed her and pulled her back from the curb just moments before the truck reached her position. She would have been killed instantly even with the holodeck safety protocols on. He carried her to a nearby tree and basically pinned her to it, gently but firmly, he exclaimed to her breathlessly, "What were you thinking Abs? You could have been killed! Don't ever do that again! If something were to happen to you, I would end up a broken man..."

Abbey was a little shocked by his sudden outburst. "I... I thought you didn't care" She said her face a pale white even as people looked to them with confused something which would usually make her blush. "I'm sorry Jacob" She said sheepishly.

"Of course I care Abs. Oh my goodness! How long have we been friends and roomies??" He looked her right in the eyes so she couldn't look away for long. "We need to talk Abbey. I think we have both missed alot of things or not paid attention to what has been going on between us.... I had NO idea you liked me any more than a friend and a roommate.... then that kiss... I melted.... I couldn't believe it... I'm still shuddering inside....."

"Ever since we met I liked you Jacob and I really thought you liked me to!" She blinked a tear away from her eye "Men are so stupid and ignorant they never see what's right in front of them" She retorted angrily.

Jacob gave her a hard look, "And women who give ultimatums and orders not to look at them or they might have to report them for doing so also make it hard to have feelings for them." He referenced their first meeting together as roommates. "And what about me being your mentor? You know that if we became something more than friends, I still would be accused of 'favoritism' towards you, not to mention I am sure that command would say that being with my own student/mentee is not allowed or a conflict of interest... which their opinion matters little to me on this subject, but it is something that is there whether we like it or not... and of course, there is your father... I am sure he would want to court martial me for wanting to be with you..." He stroked her chin with his finger, "It doesn't mean I don't have feelings for you Abs. I want you to be happy. I want you to be with whomever you want to be with... even a Chief Research Officer who is almost ten years older than you..."

Jacob leaned in very close to her now, his eyes locked on hers, "I just don't want to be hurt or to hurt you... what is it that YOU want Abbey?"

Abbey looked at Jacob, you couldn't tell there was ten years between them. She looked older almost in her early twenties and Jacob looked young and vibrant but age didn't matter to her. She had hidden her true nature from him for weeks ever since they first meant. "I - I want you" She said blushing even more so another tear creeping down her cheek. "I don't care what anyone would say, my dad will have to accept it and starfleet can screw themselves I've been through to much to even care about them, my mother dyeing my father going missing for months" She said finally biting her tongue "The only way you could hurt me is turning me away"

Jacob leaned in to her. The way she said she wanted him completely undid him. He was like a piece of paper caught in a tornado. A moment of thought of Mor'an crossed his mind. He had been in love or lust or.. something with her, but she was gone and this beautiful young woman who he had become closer and closer to over the days, weeks and months was here now. He leaned into her; his lips mere millimeters from hers and his eyes locked with hers. He whispered to her, "Ok Abbey. I am powerless in your presence and my feelings.. I have hid for this long... but no more. I wont turn you away, for that would be stupid... so Abbey... be mine... my girlfriend.. my lover... my everything... take me.... I am yours if you want me..." He almost couldn't believe the words out of his mouth. He had just made himself vulnerable and submitted to her. She could hurt him horribly, she could destroy his heart if she wanted, would she? Or would they try love he wondered.

Abbey blushed, she hadn't noticed just how close he was to her now until this moment. Everything seemed to pause as he said his words which rang in her mind be mine... my girlfriend.. my lover... my everything... take me.... She breathed through her parted lips as she leaned in and pressed her against his once more. A spark of electricity running through her as they connected the taste of salt from her tears on them.

Jacob kissed her back hungrily. It was a kiss of passion, want, desire, built up tension and a lot of nights of frustration; but it was also sweet and filled with hope and feelings of joy and giddiness, all wrapped up in that moment.

One long kiss ended and another one began, over and over for what seemed like hours; yet in reality was only over an hour, as he couldn't get enough of her kisses. It was a let down; however, when the chime rang to alert them both that the current Holosession and time in the Holodeck was about to end.

When they broke the kiss Jacob looked deeply into Abbey's eyes, "Be my girlfriend Abbey. I would love that so much, I want it to be true. What do you say?"

Abbey couldn't help her cheeks from burning, she could still feel his lips on hers and wished they still were in this moment she couldn't believe how it felt to be wanted or to want "Yes Jacob, I want that to" She said in a whisper.

He kissed her again, deeply and then took her hand. "Computer save and end program." The holodeck went dark except for the usual safety lights. "C'mon Abs, lets go dancing or dinner... or maybe back to OUR room?" Jacob gave her a seductive smile.

"Easy tiger I'm not so easily swooned into bed" Abbey rolled her eyes "Men..." She said stalking out of them holodeck "We should try and keep this to ourselfs for now" She said checking over he shoulder to see if he was following.

Jacob had nodded to her when she recommended they play it safe and as they left the holodeck he walked away from it as though he and Abbey had been been on a training simulation. "Good round Ms. Wyatt, I will have to defeat you in the next round." He said in a professional voice as two crewmen walked by them.

Abbey kept a straight face only until they had rounded the corner before she giggled "Indeed Mr Pendleton" She played along wishing for their room to be closer now.

As they passed several more crew, two non-enlisted personnel, females, stopped for a moment to admire the massive man that was Jacob. They giggled as he passed although he did not return any greeting except a nod as passed, oblivious (as usual) to their very intentional attempt to flirt with him.

Abbey looked over her shoulder, she wasn't the jealous type but if looks could kill... The trip back to the room was agonizing she just wanted to wrap herself into Jacobs arms so when they finally walked into their room she turned and did just that.

He smiled broadly. "Hello my sweet." He then gently wrapped his powerful long arms around her. "Jacob and Abbey... has a nice ring to it doesn't it? I can't believe we are together now... its like a dream..."

She giggled as she looked up at Jacob and stood on her tippy toes "Does this feel like a dream" She said kissing his neck, "Or this?" She continued up his neck to Jacobs cheek "or this?" She kissed his lips biting softly on his lower lip.

He easily picked her up and sat down on the couch with her on his lap. "No.. not a dream at all..." He kissed her in return. "...more like absolute heaven."
He wanted this "make out" session to never end.

Abbey had one arm around his back playing with his hair that touched the top of his neck, it was soft and smooth her other hand was on his cheek holding it in place as if his head would roll of his body. She kissed him lightly "Not being able to act like this around others is going to be hard" She said, "You can promise you wont... Those girls in the hallway" She whispered, almost whimpering like a hurt puppy.

"What? What are you talking about? What about those crew members in the hallway? Did I miss something??" Jacob was truly clueless about what she was referring to, "And yes it is going to be hard not being able to show our being together around our colleagues."

She recoiled backwards "The way those other girls looked at you, I just... forget about it i'm being silly" She smiled "Now, leave me to do my studies you maybe able to get away from work but I can not!" She stalked of into the wash room to freshen up.

Jacob smiled and watched her walk away, admiring the nice sway of her hips and backside. He then turned back to his computer and started working on his next batch of paperwork.
