Amynta frowned as she walked into sickbay, her hand wrapped in a towel with ice. She had fallen in the office...she wasn't even sure how, she had been half distracted by some numbers. And while she only ripped her tights, her wrist had gotten knocked and was already swollen. She looked around, arching an eyebrow. She wore the skirt uniform, the shoes not quite regulation...but not as high as she usually liked them. She had removed the tights, but her hair had loosened, falling into her face. She hadn't even bothered to try and put it up. Needed two working hands for it.

The doctor looked up at the entrance, frowning as he took in her condition. Flustered was a fair word. So was annoyed. "What have you done?"

"Humiliated myself," she said, looking at him before taking a breath. "I don't even know what happened."

Dr Alexion Wylde arched an eyebrow, shaking his head at her as he motioned for her to move to a bed with him. "You just looked down and it was like that? I don't think so."

Amynta moved to the bed, frowning as she shook her head. "I was working. I got up and I must have tripped."

He tilted his head, looking down her legs in the uniform dress - and to the highheels. "I wonder how that happened," he said lightly, clearly suggesting it was the shoes.

She looked at him before arching an eyebrow. "These are good, steady pumps. I have walked on heels since I was 16. And trust me, I do not trip over my heels."

"Well, you tripped over, and you don't know how," Alexion replied as if it were obvious how one led to the other. "Here, give me your hand."

She looked at him, her eyes narrowed before she offered her wrist over. "It was not my attire," she said firmly.

"We will blame the deck then," he replied with an easy tone, taking her hand to stretch the wrist out, starting a scan on it. "You're a delicate one."

She grimaced as she looked at him, taking a breath. "Better my hand than my head," she finally said.

"True," he gave a gruff, single sound of laughter, shaking his head, making his dark blonde hair fall forward a little, close to his face as he read over the results. "It's not broken."

Amynta nodded, taking a breath as she moved her fingers, slowly. "It didn't feel broken. I have broken things before."

"Were you wearing high shoes then?" he replied innocently, not looking to her as he wriggled one of her fingers.

She let out a soft breath, swallowing as she frowned. "At times. Not all the time," she said as she smiled gently. "One fight that went wrong, dancing on stage..."

Alexion looked to her with surprise. "You danced on stage?" he took a moment to look her over before giving a small smile. "I can imagine that."

She met his eyes, searching them for a long moment. "Many years ago. And in many different ways."

"I can imagine that too," he said softly, but with a small, playful smile, his blue eyes shining with humour as he started to regenerate the wrist.

Amynta watched him with a small smile, before looking down at the wrist. "I am Amynta."

He glanced back to her, his smile reaching his eyes. "Amynta. Dr. Alexion Wylde."

"Unusual name," she said and then laughed, unable to stop it. Rich of her to say that.

"I've not heard yours either," he replied, but with no particular force. "Let's have a feel," he took hold of her hand, feeling the fingers and then up the hand.

She let out a breath, moving her hand with his, testing how she moved. "Swelling is going down already."

"I repaired the damage," he nodded, letting out a long breath, helping her move it to test it. "How is that feeling?"

"Better," she said and looked at him, with a small smile. "Thank you, Doctor..."

Alexion took a step back to watch her, nodding with approval as he took a deep breath. "Good. Does anything else hurt? I should probably give you a proper run over."

He took a step back to watch her, nodding with approval with as he took a deep breath. "Good. Does anything else hurt? I should probably give you a proper run over."

"My knee," she said and smiled gently, arching an eyebrow. "Just a bruise though."

"I may as well take a look while you're here," he slapped the bed, indicating that she should get her leg up on it.

Amynta chuckled as she pulled her skirt a little up, to pull her leg up on it. "Much appreciated..."

He had a quick feel first, running his fingers over the knee and under, seeing some bruising and feeling the tightness.

She let out a shaky breath, her skin flushing as she looked at him for a long moment. "Just a bit painful..."

Alexion nodded, scanning it quickly with a frown. "Hm..." he reached back out, feeling underneath the knee, his fingers pressing and feeling, testing it out. "Now?"

She bit her lip, hard, but more because it tickled. "A bit...just feels bashed..."

He picked up the regenerator and programmed the setting before he passed it over the area. "There was some swelling. You must have twisted it when you tripped over nothing."

"A natural talent of mine today," she said and shook her head as she watched him with mirth. "Perhaps it was a subconscious move to avoid paperwork and get off my shift early."

"Hm," he nodded emphatically, arching an eyebrow. "Now that I can understand. Want me to give you a once over while you're here?"

"Yes," Amynta said and smiled at that. May as well get it all over with together. "And then maybe a prescription for a drink."

"The one thing I can't give you," he sighed, shaking his head as he tapped the bed so she'd lie back. He brought the arch up around her, starting a thorough scan. "You'd only fall over again."

She smiled at that, relaxing as she closed her eyes. "Hardly..." she said softly.

Alexion just watched her for a long moment as it ran, letting out a soft breath as he took her in. She was different than many people in the Fleet, and especially from those he'd seen on this ship so far. And it was nice to see someone who didn't seem young enough to be his child.

"But I don't have to go back to my shift after this?" she suddenly asked, opening her eyes to look at him.

He folded his arms as he watched her with a small smile, letting out a long breath. "No, and I'm going to head off too. I've done my time, and more."

"Good...then I am going to change and go out for a drink," Amynta said lightly with a smile.

"So long as you keep the stress off that wrist. Does that mean the lounge or the mess?" he chuckled softly, shaking his head as he looked over the results coming in.

"Depends entirely on my mood," she said as she looked at him. "Mess, most likely."

"And you often go out 'for a drink' do you?" he asked lightly as he looked at her results, arching an eyebrow at the picture it painted.

"Yes," Amynta said and smiled to herself, arching an eyebrow. "And I enjoy my drinks and my smokes and my shoreleave."

"So I can see," he shook his head with a small smile, looking to her and holding her eyes firmly. "Your drink and smokes are playing with your insides."

"Then use your regenerator and patch me up," she said and held his eyes, just as firmly. "What use is this technology if we can't do that?"

Alexion sighed at the words, shaking his head as he looked upward. "Just as well we have it then," he said drily, pulling the large regenerator over, setting the stand up over her so he could programme it.

She relaxed, looking up as she considered it for a long moment. "Shame not all broken things can be fixed that easily," she murmured to herself.

"Maybe it's best not to break things in the first place," he mumbled in response, starting the cycle off. "Stay still. This will heal the damage. It's only minor at the moment."

She looked at him, running her eyes over him for a moment. "You are as bad as me," she said on instinct.

"How?" he asked with mild surprise, looking down to her on the bed as he folded his arms firmly, frowning with challenge.

"You clearly work too hard. You stress, which isn't good for the body either. I judge by your knowledge of my lifestyle that actually...you drink too," she said and closed her eyes, with a small smile of satisfaction.

"Typical intel," Alexion said lightly, but there was a 'sigh' to his tone that was almost playful in nature.

"And you are a typical doctor...do as I say, not as I do..." she said playfully, a small smile curling her lips.

His lips curled into a small smile that mirrored hers and he shook his head with a quiet laugh. "Don't ever do as I do, whatever you do."

Amynta chuckled at that, opening her eyes as she sighed softly. "I always tell people I am a grown woman and will do as I bloody well please."

"I have no doubt of it either," he lifted a hand as if to say he wouldn't argue.

She smiled at that, nodding weakly. "At least it isn't awkward talking to you. Most of the people here are children."

Alexion chuckled at that, deep in his throat as he pulled the machine away. "I was thinking the exact same thing."

She looked at him with surprise before smiling, her eyes shining as she sat up. "Thank the stars for that."

"I'll be in the mess in an hour. Just need to, well, get myself presentable," he chuckled, shaking his head as he looked down at himself with a sigh.

She watched him for a long moment before swinging her legs over the side of the bed, standing slowly. "Then perhaps I will see you there. Also...changed."

"In safer shoes?" he replied with an arched eyebrow before shaking his head with a small smile. "I doubt it somehow."

She smiled as she stepped into her shoes in question, moving to remove the pins from her hair to let it fall free. "Better shoes anyway," she said softly.

"Just try and remain in one piece? At least until I see you there, hm?" Alexion tilted his head downwards to look at her through slightly narrowed eyes.

Amynta smiled and nodded, moving away from him with a slight flick of her hand. "I'll see what I can do, doctor..."
