"I have before me data obtained from the mirror universe. The data is of a series of medical procedures conducted in highly unethical fashion. It reminds me of teaching of the experiments that were done during a long ago Earth War by Unit 731 and conducted by Surgeon General Shiro Ishi.

These included vivisection without anesthesia, just as was practiced on me.
That unit also conducted biological warfare on living subjects as well to study the course of the diseases and then dissected while alive to study the organs.
Others were studied for the effects of cold and how frostbite affected the body and how to counter the effects.
There were terrible experiments involving the transmission of diseases from mother to child conducted as well.

Why do I bring this up. At the end of that war immunity was granted to Doctor Ishi and the rest for the data which later was used to help countless others that would have died without the information provided.

It is a classic case of the use of unethically obtained data being used in the long run for good. It is still debated if it should have been used or not but in the end the ethcists used the argument that mirrors certain Vulcan philosophy that the needs of the many outweighed the needs of the few or rather in this case that the suffering of few contributed to relief of the suffering of the many.

This data while filled with much that is not useable contains much that may contribute to the relief of many. The operative word is of course May. As is known we Akkadians solved far in the past the means to regenerate from some of the worse of injury. I have attempted to discover exactly how that was done but have not fully understood it. Then there was the problem of trying to transfer that to a different physiology. That is were this data comes in for there were experiments that I could never have condoned or sanctioned that were done. There is a glimmer of hope and thus I am inclined to use this data.

The biggest problem is am I really doing this for the good or is there a bit of me that wants what I want and I am pushing along a path that will bring disappointment.

I hope that my own ethics and wisdom will prevail.
