"I'm not happy!" T'vanna all but shouted as the log dutifully recorded everything she said. "I'm being reassigned to the Aventia for these wargames. As operations officer of all things!" She threw her hands up in exhasperation, still not understanding how that happened at all.

She watched Emmaline stare up at her from her position on the bed. "And what's worse, I can't take Emma with me. Who's going to feed her, and what rubbish are they going to feed her to begin with? I'm a nursing mother, all Emma has ever had so far is what I provide for her. What if she won't feed from a bottle? SHe's never even seen one..."

Desperately, the young mother stared down at her infant daughter, reaching to pick her up. "It's only for five days they said, but what if she'll starve, what if she needs me? I'm being forced to entrust her to a hologram. A EBH they call it.... but what if it malfunctions? Will it force my baby to drink?"

She gritted her teeth. "I tried to argue the invalidity of this order. A baby needs his or her mother, not some artificial replacement. I would never leave Emma behind with a stranger for a prolonged time. A duty shift sure, because that's necessity, but five days? I've never been apart from Emma for more than eight hours."

She cuddled her daughter, then put her down on the bed again to finish packing. "It's so unfair!" she exclaimed, before closing the log.
