Personal Log 006

Computer, begin log.

"It's my understanding that people often use these personal logs as a kind of diary, complaining about their personal problems and using it as an emotional outlet. I've never really had much to complain about because my personal life is usually great, but things have been a little difficult lately.

"I've lost my best friend, Teth. I mean, I didn't actually lose him, like I misplaced him in a cargo bay. He just transferred to a different posting. I don't know if it was because he was too crazy for us, or we were too crazy for him. I will miss him, though, and I hope he finds some peace in his new assignment. His slut girlfriend M'Ressa is still here, though, so I fully intend on keeping an eye on her. I bet the second the ship decouples from the docking port she'll be trying to worm her way into someone's quarters. There are so many new, single, eligible men on the ship, too. Not that they've ever needed to be single or eligible for her, I imagine.

"Anyway, in even more personal news, I think my wives hate me. At least Norvi. We had the chance to get away for a nice quiet evening together, and all she wanted to do was spend the time apart! Also, every time I catch her looking at me, she's got a weird look in her eyes, like she's going over different ways to kill me. I don't think she'd actually kill me... Probably. I don't know, she can get pretty violent. Plus she's got a couple of lifetimes worth of experience on me, so I'm not sure if I could take her. I'll just have to hope she can last a little while longer until my family leaves. I was hoping maybe this would strengthen our friendship, but I think it's just made her murderous. Maybe it's best to give her some time and space after everyone leaves. Like, a day or so. That's probably long enough; any longer and she'll start to miss me too much.

"Since Teth has left, they gave me a new roommate. His name is Arandon, and he's a very young botanist or plantologist or something. He came from Risa, where apparently he got caught up in some kind of sex cult. It's tragic to see misspent youth like that, really, but I guess it's too late now. They've probably totally brainwashed him. They make him keep this kind of idol on the dresser, which I mistook for a juicer because - I don't care what he says - it looks like a hand juicer. Anyway, I think he prays to it and uses it in some weird sex rituals. I bet it's some kind of monitoring device, too, so I'm going to scan it later when he's on duty. Wait, I'm going to sanitize it first, then scan it. I'm afraid if I scanned it before I sanitized it then I would have to request a transfer.

"But, even if it is a little weird having a sex cultist for a roommate, he gave me a piece of paper, so I can overlook a lot on account of that."

Computer, end log.
