Posted on 31 Jul 2014 @ 7:35pm by Petty Officer 1st Class Oliver Morris

132 words; about a 1 minute read

On:

I am lucky to be alive. I never thought I'd survive the fall. The group is okay and I am thankful for the quick thinking of the crew. It was dark in the mine.

My father once told me of my coal mining heritage. How they would work for hours upon hours deep in caverns below the Earth just for hunks of rock. I had a nightmare when I was little where I was mining and the space caved in. Now that feeling is quite real. Here I am under an unknown world with the potential of that nightmare coming true.

I am trying hard to keep my cool. But what they don't know is that I am quietly freaking out.

OFF:

CPO1 Oliver Morris
Chief Yeoman/Helm Officer
USS Galileo
