Personal Log: Lieutenant Commander Dea Mialin

Things are different now that Commodore Saalm is no longer Galileo's Captain. I feel like I'm an outsider to the Command staff because I'm the newest member and I'm coming into a very new command staff. With time I hope that will fade and things will feel more normal.

Overall its good to be back aboard the ship. We've started a new mission and this will give us more insight into how Galileo's crew views us as the new command staff. For now there will be some growing pains that's true of any changes aboard a starship, especially among senior staff members.

Part of me is excited to see what we'll encounter on this mission. Yet part of me is also very nervous, with good reason. It always seems that tactical skills end up being more useful than expected for a science ship. For once I'd like to have that theory proven wrong. That's all I'm going to say on that for now.

All I can do is keep my eyes open and see how things progress. Currently I don't know what the Captain has planned for me once we arrive at the planet. I'll just have to wait and see. More later, my break is over.

End log
