Chief Science Officer log

Lieutenant JG Tarishiana Barel reporting.

As you can tell by my new greeting...I am no longer an enlisted officer. I was called into Commander Saalm's office thinking that I had done something wrong or god forbid was getting a new assignment in regards to the Sienna Project. Boy was I wrong. First I was told that my former commanding officer Captain hiker had put in a promotion request on my behalf. Despite the fact that Commander Saalm agreed with his request, I don't like it. I don't like it one bit.

I spent the last few months trying to get away from the clutches of Captain Hiker but it might seem that I never will. *audible sigh recorded* Anyways, we have spent the last few days looking over the Sienna Project data. I have to admit that it is an amazing idea and I kind of hope that it actually works and that I get to see it in action sometime soon. The math behind the drive is impressive and very intriguing to look at.

On a personal note, I have moved in with Markum Quinn. Well actually I think he moved in with me. I am not completely sure all I know is that I am so so happy about it. I have never met anyone that makes me feel the way he does. I have no intention of letting him anytime soon. Even his son is wonderful.

Everything else is normal and unremarkable...Computer end transmission."
