How I met your grandmother - Part 2

1,616 words; about a 8 minute read

The male who was escorting Ael to Vulcan was…intensely unnerving. Whenever she came out of the small quarters afforded to her for sleep on this journey, she could feel his gaze upon her. Zeris, as he was called, kept trying to ply her with food and drink, which she coolly declined. There had been enough cultural education imbued during her vigorous training to know that such offers from Vulcans often came with strings she did not want to become tied up in. He was beginning to appear…unwell, too. His skin was growing flushed, and once or twice during a quick glance, Ael…or T’Ael as she was currently called, noticed a sheen of sweat upon his brow. Great. She considered silently. It would serve to come down with some exotic Vulcan infectious disease within ‘minutes’ of starting her assignment, wouldn’t it?

T’Ael had started only coming out of her quarters when it was time to eat - although that was proving a great disapprovement as well. Vulcan food, at least what she had experienced from the replicator on board, was a decidedly disappointing affair. Nutrient bars and a pale broth that tasted of plants and roots. Utterly uninspiring. No wonder they were so…dull. She had put off her daily outing for as long as she dared. Zeris had not done anything untowards, other than lurk, but T’Ael couldn’t help but feel wary around him. Her thoughts were brought back to the present as she felt the ship’s inertial dampeners kick in. They had dropped out of warp. With an eye-roll, she changed direction from the small galley to the small ‘bridge’ of the ship.

“Why have we dropped out of warp?” T’Ael inquired calmly - but the subtle undertone of her question read as a demand.

“We are nearing a region of space that holds a gravitational anomaly. To travel through it at warp holds the risk of damaging the dilithium matrix. We will spend the next two days at full impulse until we have passed the gravity well.”

T’Ael said nothing, but she was most assuredly unhappy to hear of the slowdown. “Will this affect our arrival time?”

“It will not. This is still the shortest route, timing and distance-wise.” Zeris responded as he tapped along the touch screen inputting commands. His hands were visibly trembling now and he quickly put them down in his lap. Time was running short and this female was being incredibly…resistant to his overtures. He pushed himself away from the controls and walked up to her.

“You are beautiful…for a Rihannsu. How much of it is you, and how much is the skilled work of your surgeons I wonder?” He mused. Now was the time. He reached out to cup the side of her face, and grabbed at her opposite shoulder when she attempted to back away.

T’Ael quickly jerked her shoulder out of his grasp, but he managed to touch her face with his hand. An unusual electrical jolt poured through his momentary caress before she pulled away. “You touch me again without my permission, and you will pull back a stump.” She hissed through gritted teeth before turning and storming off the bridge. What the hell was it with this male?!

However, that touch tipped something within her decidedly out of plumb. She returned to her quarters, no longer interested in eating the shit food, and focused her time on trying to set herself right.

– (Some time later)

T’Ael jerked awake. She laid on her back, the covers having been kicked off of the small sleeping platform while asleep, and she felt sticky as her skin was soaked in sweat. Groaning, she pushed herself upright and pulled her legs out of bed and placed them on the cold floor grating with an disagreeable hiss. She felt feverish…uncomfortable. Her stomach twisted, and she bent over herself clasping a hand to the clenching pain low in her abdomen. Great. With these symptoms no doubt a GI adventure was on the horizon.

”Imirrhlhhse!

She pushed herself off the sleeping platform and staggered. Her eyes burned as her temperature continued to climb. Fvadt. Although not desirable, she left her quarters to find out just what form of medical assistance this small ship had. Once out of her quarters, the heady smell of…him all but permeated the space and her mouth watered in response. “Hnaev, what is wrong with me?” She muttered aloud as she plodded barefoot along the floor grating making a god awful racket from her steps.

It didn’t take long to find the small alcove that held what medical supplies were available on the ship. T’Ael began opening cabinets looking for something to bring down a fever and to stop the cramping with her when she felt the shift. Whirling around, she pressed herself against the wall and bared her teeth in aggression as she saw Zeris standing a few feet behind her.

“It will not help. The medicine you are seeking. I was…uncertain if it would work…the touch.” He all but purred and took a step toward her. “It would appear we are still similar enough, T’Ael.”

Her honor blade which she kept secreted on her person at all times was suddenly out and held in front of her in a manner that denoted she was more than well acquainted with the weapon. “Stay away from me, Yyaio.” She hissed in threat, but her eyes widened as the Vulcan began to laugh.

“That’s not what you really want and you know it. You burn, T’Ael…you burn for me.” He took another step closer and then another. She struck out quickly, but Zeris was faster - dodging the wickedly sharp blade and grabbing her wrist and squeezing. The sounds of crunching wrist bones could be heard in the small space and T’Ael cried out in pain but was unable to remove her hand from his brutal grip.

“Do not fight me…I would hate to harm you anymore than I have to.” He replied darkly to her sound of pain. Her hand went numb and her blade fell to the deck, making a clanging noise, and he pulled her suddenly against him, wrapping his other arm around her waist, grabbing her buttock and pulling her body flush against his. He thrust against her in a pantomime of mating, and she felt his hardened member against her groin. Her head fell back as she felt yet another clenching pain and she made an inarticulate moan. Elements, she was burning up!

“What…what have you done?” She said in a husky tone that was utterly at odds at the outrage boiling up within her.

He pushed her forward until her back was against the bulkhead, and he raised her arms above her head, taking them both into his large hand and pinning her between him and the metal. Leaning into her neck, he inhaled deeply, taking in her exotic scent, and groaning as her smell sent waves of escalating arousal through him. “You smell like a ripe gespar. So sweet and ready to be consumed…and I will consume you. You are mine.” He ran his nose up her neck to the side of her cheek to her ear, where he licked the pointed line of her auricle and purred deep in his chest when she felt her involuntary shudder.

T’Ael’s breaths came out in ragged pants. The feverish sensation she awoke with had ratcheted up to a blazing inferno threatening to cook her sanity. What, by The Elements, was this?!

Zeris pulled away and looked down at her, his dark eyes completely black pools and T’Ael saw him…really saw him. This was a predator having cornered its prey. How had she so utterly underestimated him?

With his free hand, he placed his fingertips along the neural nodes of her face. What was left of her lucidity fought against him, but with what appeared to be an easy response, he pushed his fingers against her face, stilling her struggles while he forced a meld upon her. T’Ael had been trained to resist such mind invasions, but this was different. He wasn’t trying to take anything from her, at least at first. No…he was forcing his way in - pouring fire and a physical need so sharp she began to make a soft keening sound. Her body began to writhe against his and her limbs trembled uncontrollably in an arousal so profound she wanted to die from it.

“You have failed in your mission, whatever it was, before it even started, my little spy…but you will serve adequately as my mate…as the mother of my children. I claim you, T’Ael…”

She would fight him of course. He knew this instinctively since forging the beginnings of a mate bond with her. He smiled against her chin, hearing her pained sounds as he squirmed against him. T’Ael would learn quickly that such overt tactics would lead to injury, but he was still in control enough not to kill her. No, that would go completely against his plans. His grip on her wrists tightening and she gasped as he crushed her other wrist, leaving her down her hands for any retaliation she might have planned. He would break her arms, her legs…everything, if it kept her with him so that they could burn together.

“You are mine Ael Ki Baratan t’Rehu…”
