Oh, my gosh!

"Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh!"

Jemima paced the tiny quarters she shared with another cadet. "It was like something you see on the news vids. Captain Saalm was threatening to take the ship to fight the Tholians, even though it was so badly damaged it couldn't do warp one, and Commander Wyatt ordering her to stand down. He actually took command of the ship! And, and the doctor supported him! Can you believe it? I saw the whole thing! Well, not all of it, but most of it. You never leave people behind, right? But with the ship as badly damaged as it was, we didn't stand a chance against the Tholians. Those things are scary! I heard what they did to the Trial. Killed everyone but Lieutenant Plumeri and the First Officer."

She paced around some more. "But I'm getting ahead of myself. Captain Saalm stole a shuttle, and the guy at Operations, Ryan, I think, went with him, and they found the shuttle from the second away team that was trying to help get people off the Trial, too, and the captain attacked or something, and the shuttle got two people, like I said, Plumeri and the First Officer...Jones, I think. But when the shuttle came back, the captain was gone. Just...disappeared. I don't know where. There's still the other way team out there somewhere. Might be dead, 'cause I hear the colony on Latari A was destroyed. Can you believe it? I can't, and I'm here. And now there's some hush-hush talks going on about what to do with the colony and the Tholians, and the captain's still missing and the away team is still gone and I have no idea what's going to happen next. But I had to get this log out, just because it's too crazy and no one will believe any of this, right? Right. So, that's what's going on. This might all be classified by the time we get back, 'cause we're dealing with all this classified stuff, but holy cow. Wait, I can't say that. Prianka is Hindi and they don't like the term. But still, this is the craziest assignment I've ever had--even though it's my first one. I don't think anything else will top this, ever. Boy, I'm glad I'm here. Or I will be, if we do manage to get home. If we do, I'll share this with you. If not, well, it's good to get it all out and in a log."

There was a long pause while Jemima paced. "You know, never mind. That's too crazy even for me. Wait, keep it. I'll fix it later. Or do another one to replace it. Or...something. Who knows? By this time tomorrow, everything will have changed again. I just wanna say, Oh my gosh!"

"Computer, end log. Save."
