"Is thing on? "

*background noise rustling of bed sheets*

"Damn...what time is it? Jeez, alright then.

"Time is 0315, USS Fitzgerald.

It happened again...the same dream as all of them. As requested by lieutenant Commander Antioch, I'm recording the night- the dreams down so I can refernce these in the future and possibly beat the shock out of my system or some crazy shrink voodoo. I don't know, but when the doctor tells you to take your meds...

"It was me and Major Fernandez, we were running down towards the main entrance to a Dominion remnant stronghold where they were holding a large number of prisoners. i don't remember how many there were in the dream...more than I could count anyhow. We had just made it down to a set of metal doors when we were ambushed. I ended up diving into cover and bumped into a grenade, so I jumped away, only it was into another one."

*coughing...sound of drinking*

"The ground fell away until it was just me and the bomb and it exploded. I know they say that you can't feel pain in a dream, but I felt the fire and the metal and stone piercing my body as if it happened yesterday. My left side is still pretty tender, but it felt like I was being thrown the Fitz's warp core. The thing was, there was always another grenade when the smoke cleared...always another bout of pain.

I...I think what's worse than getting hit was that I feel responsible for the people we DID lose...why the hell weren't we given the proper information...I don't know who to blame...the doc says not to blame myself, but really...who else can I blame? The Dominion? HA! They're already dead, burning in a smoking crater for all I know.

The major came by the infirm. yesterday, said that I was to be pulled back onto active duty once my shoulder is healed up. I guess I had used up all my slotted sick days and the required rest period. I know it wasn't his fault for putting back on the roster, but I don't think that I can do this yet. Shit man....I almost DIED! It's one thing to hear about in the vids, but to actually go through it. It's scary man.

I think I made my decision. I'm going to put in my transfer tomorrow, I heard this little Nova is taking on new members. I think that I need some security work right now, not military.
