One journey ends a more personal one begins

The Akkadia trip is almost over, we got a message today with new orders to return to earth, it looks like command wants us to take some cadets on a trip for a few days, it should be interesting.

Allyndra and Ens Shizn will be coming to pick us up tomorrow morning so we will be packing things up tonight.

Things are.... interesting with John, he asked me for a date and I said yes, we had a picnic on top of the hill near camp watching the sun slowly be covered by the gas giant. He tried to tell me some earth jokes but I did not really understand them, then he kissed me, only on the cheek but it felt nice, then he held me close and we just sat there talking. It was.... very good.

The only thing I am worried about now is after all of this when we get back to earth he may get orders to go to a different ship, I hope he does not.
