This log takes place after coming on board but before the start of the mission.

He shook his head as he looked around his quarters as he sat drinking his evening tea. Coffee was all well and good in the morning but he preferred something a little lighter in the evenings.

"Computer begin personal log." He took a deep breath letting it out slowly. "Lieutenant Junior Grade Rahl Tyton personal log, stardate 67969.2" He tilted his head. "I'm unsure of what to even say at this point. A new ship, a new command, it's what I wanted or at least thought I did. No I'm pretty sure it was wanted. I was growing to bored and useless at Deep Space Nine."

He rolled his shoulders. "The Admiral and the rest of the command staff appear to be competent. Though, the Admiral does seem to have a few reservations with my chosen area of research to start with." He chuckled softly. "The chief science officer however...that could go either way. We seem to be on the same page after our meeting. However, as always anything can happen. Time will have to be the judge on that one. Though we both seem to be offiandos of coffee."

"Our chief medical officer on the other hand. Now she is quite interesting. With what little I've learned of her people through conversation with you. They seem highly interesting. I look forward to more talks with her in the future. Perhaps she will consent to have dinner with me at some point and we can discuss things in further detail. Her chosen path of research at the moment is very intriguing. She has asked for my assistance with it and I must say I am looking forward to it. Any chance there is of creating something that can be used to disable the Borg I am behind a hundred percent."

"Our helmsman or helmswoman I should say, seems to have a love for anything and everything that can fly. Not only that but it seems it doesn't matter what it flies in. If our brief talk about the Dauntless Project was any sign, it could travel through all known dimensions or perhaps between parallel universes and I think she'd still try to fly it."

"All in all I think it's going to be a definitive break from what I am used to between the war and my life on Deep Space Nine. I can't wait to see what the days bring."

He took another drink of his tea before looking around again at his quarters for a moment. "Computer, end log"
