Slinging her medical kit over her shoulder, Pola nodded her head to the guard on duty outside of Amril's quarters. As much as she preferred not to be here, the vorta needed to be checked over, given what had happened to him during his rescue. As they were trying to keep his presence onboard quiet, she couldn't hand this off to someone else. Taking a breath, she hit the door chime, alerting the occupant of the room to her presence.

The door opened to reveal Amril at the table with a PADD in front of him, a large slice of cheese pizza in one hand, a teacup in the other, and the sounds of Klingon opera playing overhead. He looked up and smiled when he saw the doctor.

"Computer, turn the music off please... Thank you. Welcome, doctor. How are you?" He folded his hands, then glanced towards his table and unfolded them to gesture towards his meal. "Would you like to try some pizza? Or perhaps some of this tea from Vulcan?"

Looking around, Pola tool in the room around her, slightly surprised at how at home Amril seemed to have made himself in such a short period of time. "I'm ok Amril, thanks for the offer though." Stepping further into the room, the Doctor smiled tiredly. "I'm just here to make sure you're ok. Have you got a few minutes?" Realising the irony in the question, she mentally kicked herself. Confined to his quarters, he had all the time in the world.

Amril didn't seem to notice. "Ah, how thoughtful of you, doctor. I was quite sure you did not care all that much earlier. Please, sit. And I'm quite all right, perfect good health."

Moving across to the indicated chair, Pola instead stood beside it, needing to be able to get to Amril easily in order to preform a full scan. "Why would you think that I wouldn't care? It would go against everything I am as a Doctor if I didn't care about anyone needing medical treatment."

"Ah, you Starfleet people truly are impeccable," Amril replied, "So dedicated. But even so, you did not seem all that pleased to have me in sickbay. I expect you suffered some loss at the hands of the Dominion?"

Extracting her tricorder, Pola indicated towards Amril, requesting permission to start a scan. "That's funny... I've lost no one that I know of to the Dominian. Both my parents are still alive and my grandmother does of natural cases. What's keeps leading you to believe that I did lose someone?"

He nodded his permission and answered her question as she scanned. "Why, your apparent dislike for the Dominion. It seems particularly vehement for someone relatively unaffected by the war."

Starting her scan, she smiled slightly. "Who's to say that was me you were meeting? My feelings at the time had zero to do with you being Dominion, you could have been Human and it would have been the same. At that moment in time, I was in command and your ship had almost blown up my people. That causes strong feelings in people when they have the weight of responsibility on their shoulders."

"Ah, well then, I am glad to hear you have nothing against the Dominion, Doctor."

"You may need to help me out here. My knowledge of Dominion physiology is extremely limited." Pola glanced up from her tricorder.

"Ah well, I'm perfectly healthy I'm sure. We vorta are sturdy in that regard, at least. It comes in handy as a diplomat, you see. Even our physiology is carefully deigned for the purpose the Founders gave us."

"Well see that doesn't help much... what constitutes as healthy for a Vorta? I've no baseline to compare to so I'm feeling a little stuck. What's your resting beats per minute of your heart, whats the normal level of oxygen in your blood... all the basic pieces f information which a Doctor needs to be able to treat a humanoid." Pola leaned her hip against the table as she watched Amril intently.

"I'm afraid my medical knowledge is limited to basics," Amril admitted, "Perhaps I could work with you to prepare an appropriate standard? I'm sure between my knowledge and your computer's cross-references of the vorta you have monitored, we can find something your computer can handle."

"Hum... that could work. In all honesty, because you were the people who stayed behind lines, we have extremely incomplete information on the Vorta. If you gave me a Jem'Hadra, we may have more luck." Turning the tricorder around, Pola pointed out some of the readings. "These are your pulse rate, oxygen level in your blood, your BP..which is your blood pressure. Do they look normal, abnormal or even make any sense to you?"

Amril looked over the information she provided and shook his head. "I am not familiar with the readings. But if you give me access to your medical database, I will soon learn enough to qualify for your position, doctor." He smiled at her in a way that might make her wonder if vorta had a sense of humor or not.

Thinking over the request, Pola was fully aware that Amril had been allowed access to restricted information in order to help get them away from the nebula. What damage could it to to give him access to the medical database. Taking up her PADD, the Doctor brought up the medical library before handing it over. "Will this help?"

"I'm sure it will," Amril said agreeably, after he'd taken a cursory glance. "I will begin reading it right now."

Sitting back in her chair, Pola folded her arms as she silently studied Amril, wondering what he saw when he read through the notes on his PADD. "Would you prefer I left you to it? There's alot of information there."

"Oh, that will be fine," he replied, "I should have a sufficient understanding by tomorrow."

Gathering up the equipment she'd used, Pola ensured that the recordings she'd taken had been captured so as she could analyse them later. "I'll call by tomorrow so and we can see where we can go from there?"

"Excellent idea, doctor."
